Cassandra Strings, Inc

Staff was very knowledgable. I bought a violin on ebay and brought it in to cassandra strings to have it set up and gone over. Found out there was major defects that were not disclosed. I will be returning instrument to seller. Thanks to the staff I learned a lot that day. I will never buy blind on ebay again.

My daughter handed me a rental form from Cassandra Strings this evening so I called… a woman named Cassandra answered. I had a few simple questions regarding the rental and wanted some specifics on the actual instrument. I inquired who the manufacturer was and wanted to know some basics like size etc. Specifically what would be provided for a rental. Cassandra simply stated that there were several models and would not be more specific other than to say it was from China and cost $ 1,200 if I was interested in a purchase. She wasn’t willing to give any specifics on what we would be renting or possibly purchasing… I was astonished at her lack of professionalism and rude attitude. As such I felt it important to pass this information on. I don’t know what relationship the school has with Cassandra Strings but as for me that’s the last place I would go for an instrument.

Cassandra Strings is great! My child decided to play the cello in 5^th grade and from signing the rental agreement in Aug ’13 until now, …nothing but professionalism. We like the terms and agreements that were offered to us, and feel that being a first time music family, we are in good hands. We recently started summer private lessons, and the building, location and parking are all very convenient in downtown Algonquin. Inside, the building is kept very nicely, ample seating for waiting parents and all the staff are very professional. The selection of instruments seems endless, books, sheet music, and all the extras that one might need for their instrument. They also keep an updated website and place important (sometimes fun) information on the FB page. All around, we couldn’t be happier. Thanks!

Cassandra strings is a wonderful store for stringed instruments. We stumbled upon them via the elementary school, when it came time to rent an instrument for our son.
They were one of 2 choices for cello rental and luck of the draw, we picked them.
From what I’ve read, many of these rental companies are dis-​honest. Not so with Cassanda Strings — very reputable, providing great quality and customer service at a fair price.
We have been with them for 2.5 years and have no complaints.
They are also able to provide info on local string music teachers to those who are interested.
Yes, I recommend them.
