Yummy little hole in the wall spot off the beaten path. I had to come to my friends shop down the street to pick up some equipment, and I needed some viddles before making the trek back to my neck of the woods. Looking around the area, you would never think there was anything close to being edible in this neighborhood. From what I could see, it was just a barren wasteland of warehouses, motorcycle shops, and industrial offices. So I got on my trusty UnilocalAPP, and low and behold, this place was literally 1 minute away from where I was standing. WINNING! I got tacos. Quite yummy, and cheap. I like that the abuelita running the counter had a hair net on. The one drawback is that there’s no bathroom… but the food is yum, the place is clean, and the service is fast. Thumbs up puta!

Like their Shrimp Taco $ 2/ea & Fish Taco $ 2/ea. Also tried their The Mexican Burrito with green sauce. Kinda liked it, but wish it came with sour cream & guacamole. Thought it needed something, so sour cream & guac would have been a nice touch. Guac is $ 3.5 extra. Sour cream $ 1. Tried their Potato Taco this time. It was good like another reviewer said. However, I’m not a big fan of hard taco shell(fried tortilla), so… Anyways, really enjoyed their Spinach Pineapple Lime Aqua Fresca. $ 2.50 for med and $ 2.99 for lg.

Place is overpriced. $ 8.00 for a burrito with meat, rice cheese, onions and cilantro. The quality of the meat isn’t even good quality– its chewy :( Last time I had tacos there they had chopped Lemons(yellow) instead of limes… The food trunk outside home depot is better!

Just okay. The meat in the fish tacos was good. Tacos are smaller than most street tacos. Asada was okay. The ceviche was just bad. I recently moved to the area and I’m looking for a new go to taco joint. I’ll have to keep looking.

This place was just okay. We got tacos, and they were pretty good except for the fact that most of the meat was just fat and difficult to eat + why would I even want to eat fatty chewy meat? But the service was good and the place is cute. The non-super fatty meat was good enough for 3 stars. Cool little hole in the wall Mexican food spot !

Awesome customer service, food is great, dining area is small but we were there in the afternoon so we were the only ones there. They have homemade aguas frescas, different varities. They are a great place to go, shame they close on the weekends.

Look, Eat, Praise! The tacos are stellar and what good is a taco without a hugo Fresca. The food is on point and I highly recommend any of the hard shell tacos. This Vato Eric is a little loco, but he puts out good food! Try the watermelon juice!

Came here first for tacos Tuesday. Great deal(1 dollar for all tacos) but I also come back for the all meat burrito. It is aptly named. The cheviche and nachos(1 off on Wednesday) are also great. Friendly staff but there’s a wait during lunchtime so get there early!

I eat here at least once a week due to it being a block from my office. PROs: Tacos are packed with meat usually, even on $ 1 taco tuesday when most places skimp out. CONs: The last few weeks they have been getting my order wrong(super simple plain tacos) and whoever is making the salsa is making it all wrong all of a sudden and adding tons of seeds making it way spicer that normal, lame. The tortas and tacos are overly greasy sometimes, but thats okay– it definitely satisfies carnitas cravings. Pro tip: The potato tacos are worth the price!

WEEKLYSPECIALS: Tuesday: $ 1 tacos Wednesday: $ 1 off nachos Thursday: $ 1 off OG torta Friday: $ 1 fish tacos Unfortunately I stopped by on a Monday so there were no deals. I was craving for a massive burrito and Unilocal brought me here. I ordered their shrimp burrito for $ 9 — a little pricey in my opinion but it was decent in size. The tortilla was incredibly warm and soft, and their red sauce had just enough spice and flavor to it. The content inside my burrito was unremarkable though. There was plenty of rice but not enough shrimp! It appeased my burrito cravings but didn’t quite hit the spot. Sadly this is probably going to be one of the better Mexcian options I’d get in Alhambra. Parking is easy and plentiful in front of the restaurant.

Tiny little mexican place down the street from costco. It’s tucked away in an industrial area but the tacos are pretty good for $ 1 on Tuesday. They’re a little small but packed with a decent amount of meat.

It appears the masses have discovered my go to lunch spot! This is a great little family run spot. Indoor dining area and limited outdoor seating. They have specials for each day of the week including everyone’s favorite Taco Tuesday. The Pros: — the food is yummy. Tacos fish, carne asada and al pastor. Red sauce on everything! — the agua frescas are pretty good — my homie Eric is a Dodger fan(go Dodgers!!) The Cons: — limited street parking It’s a small place, so if you reach the stop sign or the light on Commonwealth you’ve gone too far

Love the food here. I haven’t tried anything here that I have liked. I love the carnitas here especially. The asada and al pastor are really good as well. They have great tacos, I love to get their nachos it’s a really big portion too. You can share the nachos with another person. Great burritos as well, I tried their chicken pozole awhile back too and that was really good. Great food and great service, I’m always coming back here.

They have deals for every day of the week. Taco Tuesdays, Fish Taco Fridays, etc… It’s a hole in the wall with solid food. I love how their Fish Tacos aren’t breaded. Tasty. I will come back on a Friday, for their deal. Hubby had a burrito and I had a cerviche. We both liked our food. He couldn’t keep his hands off my cerviche.

Been searching for good and cheap Mexican food. In love Love their carne asada and guac! Spying on other people’s orders of nachos and quesadillas… Look so good! Can’t wait to come back and try more! Please tell me they have breakfast tacos/burritos. Then they’ll have my loyalty Weekday specials!!!

First timer I ordered three fish tacos to begin with, Wolfed that down and decided I wanted more and ordered another fish taco and the potato taco combo which I never heard of prior to this little shop. It was yummy as well, will definitely check this place out again when I’m in the area. The owner lady is very nice and hooked me up with a smart water even though it doesn’t come with the combo.

First time here. Bad: Torta cubana not on the 5 $ Torta Thursdays special :( Good: clean location for and industrial zone Delicious Torta de carnitas(pork). Bread was fresh and soft, veggies fresh and crisp. Good flavor to the beans and neat. 6.50 $ for a Torta +can of soda+bag of frito lays. Another visit like this and I’ll give it 4 stars. But after trying the nachos and tacos which I here are also delicious.

I needed some Mexican food but couldn’t really venture far, so I found this obscure spot. It’s surrounded by warehouses and definitely off the beaten path. I went for the carne asada tacos. The main disappointment with the tacos were the tortillas. There were certainly not fresh, being that they were hard. However, the steak itself was excellent, with it being tender, juicy, and flavorful. That made up for a deficient tortilla. The green sauce is mild and I should’ve been more assertive and gone with the red. The rice and bean sides were just average. There’s seating next to the order area and it’s reasonably clean and tidy. It’s a mom-and-son operation and the mom was really polite. If I’m in the area and hankering for some Mexican without driving too far, I’ll give this spot another shot, especially given the dearth of Mexican places around…

Stumbled here from a friend’s recommendation while I was waiting for Costco to finish servicing my car. It’s located on a random industrial/warehouse street but the umbrella in the front makes it easy to spot. They have burritos, quesadillas, tacos, sopes, tortas, homemade guac, ceviche, horchata and lots of different frescas! It’s a small place but parking is super easy to find and there’s indoor and some outdoor seating. I got 2 carnitas tacos, carne asada sope and pineapple fresca. The carnitas tacos were good but not as tender as I had hoped after hearing that they would be the best ever. The carne asada sope was pretty good, I would order it again. Overall, I think it’s a pretty good Mexican place that is a step above a legit taco truck. You pay a little more for the sit down environment but you still get the authentic flavors. And definitely worth the walk from Costco if you’re waiting for your car to get serviced. Tip: they have daily specials like taco tuesdays(99cents) and fish taco fridays(99cents)
