I went to the Monrovia street fair this friday after work. Usually I just go to try the free samples in the food area like a cheep guy lol but goshh dang it! The best pretzel I’ve EVER eaten. It’s a rosemary pretzel. Soo dang delicious! Rosemarie is a natural sugar if you didn’t know. super super BOMB! Also bought coconut macaroons and a «blondie» brownie(which was my favorite). All worth 10 $. Freaking awesome! These lady’s who sell them are adorable! Visit the Monrovia street fair and try yourself!

I went to a small, local grocery store in Burbank this past weekend called Handy Market, and there were two women outside offering samples of 4 different, home made shortbread cookies. I’m a shortbread snob and make it every Christmas, and didn’t want any, but decided to accept a taste to support these entrepreneurs(since they’re doing something that I’d love to do someday). I took a chunk of cookie and went inside to do some shopping. I was given a sample of the BROWNBUTTERPECANSHORTBREADCOOKIE. I took a bite, and literally stopped in my tracks. I had to close my eyes, the flavor was so sublime. The sweet, soft crumble, the hint of brown butter, and oh — the tiny granules of salt I tasted around the edges — I’d died and gone to shortbread heaven. I savored every little crumb and told them it was the best thing I ever put in my mouth. I bought a lovely little package(4 big cookies for $ 5, nicely packaged in a cellophane bag) on my way out. Worth every penny. It’s a perfect thing to bring when invited to a dinner party. I hope these ladies make it, and I hope Handy Market chooses to carry their cookies in the store!
