Renaissance Plaza

So sad. I used to come here when this plaza first opened to hang out with friends many many years ago. It used to be such a nice place with beautiful fountains running. Now, there’s no water and no fountains. :(What happened Alhambra?
There are plenty of places here with a good variety. There’s an Applebee’s, Grill’em All, Temptations, Menchies, and Panda Express. Most importantly, there’s an Edwards Stadium Cinemas with IMAX. There is a parking structure with many levels of parking that you can enter either off of Garfield or Stoneman Ave.
This place is pretty busy on a Friday night, perfect for families and children. Periodically, there are events held there. One night, they had Alhambra High School marching band playing right at the corner of Garfield and Main St, which is nice entertainment if you’re sitting and enjoying your meal in the plaza. The city also holds a tree lighting ceremony during Christmas time with a pretty big sized Christmas tree right in the middle of the plaza.
I like this little plaza. It’s a nice place to walk around, but it would be even nicer if there was water in the fountains.
