National Taekwondo Academy

My 3 yr old son has been attending for 3 wks 2 times per week and I have to say that they are fantastic with the kids! I totally recommend this place!!! Seriously!

Wife and I had been looking for a Taekwondo or Karate class for our 3 year old son in the Aliso Viejo area and we’re extremely happy with National Taekwondo Academy.
They have a great program for this age group — the class is comprised of 3 – 5 year olds with 3 instructors teaching 5 — 10 kids. Right away you can tell the kids are happy to be there.

My son and I both went to the San Clemente studio for over four years, and we both earned out black belt. The staff is excellent, the classes were fun and challenging for both my son and I, and we both made lifelong friends.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough for what it’s done for my son’s self esteem, hand-​eye coordination, strength and balance. It was worth ever penny!
Definitely five stars in my book!

I’m a kickboxing newbie, but I’m always up for trying something new for my fitness. So, when I saw the 10 Class Groupon for Kickboxing at National Taekwondo Academy, I had to buy it. I also got a pair of pink boxing gloves to keep, nice!
The beginner class is on Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:30 — 8:30pm. They do offer an intermediate class at the same time, but on Tuesday and Thursday. So far I’ve been to two beginner classes and I loved both of them!
They ask that you call to schedule your first class, but you can pretty much walk in to any class afterwards. Both classes I’ve taken only had about 10 people in them, so they were pretty intimate. There is one primary instructor and an assistant. You will start out with about a 10 minute warm-​up, than will go into about a 40 minute kickboxing workout and ends in a 10 minute circuit workout. It for sure works the whole body and after each class, I’ve been sore for a couple of days.
I’m still riding the Groupon deal, but I’ll be curious to see how much they are regularly since they are so fun and I may consider purchasing another package. I also notice they have multiple locations in the OC. I frequent the Aliso Viejo studio, which is pretty nice altogether.

The staff is super friendly and nice here. I like this place, and did the kickboxing groupon. I like it and its a good work out. I’m not sure hot the Tawkwondo is, but the staff seems to do well when they are playing around prior to the classes.
Only thing I’d suggest would be to wipe the mats down more often

I loved kickboxing here. All the techniques were GREAT! I agree with the other people who posted a review. My instructor actually taught me to wrap my hands instead of just doing it for me.
I joined the intermediate class. I feel bad for forgetting the instructors name, but she was SO NICE. She’s serious, but also very patient and detail oriented. She explained everything SO well and walked us through the steps for each routine. While practicing different routines both instructors would go around and correct our postures. I really appreciated that they took the time to do this, because many times instructors in various kickboxing classes just bark out instructions and don’t bother helping you. But these instructors were SO helpful and nice.
I got an amazing workout, I was sweating a whole bunch afterwards and it felt great. I left with a huge smile!
I really don’t have anything bad to say about this place. I feel real lucky for snagging such a great deal, and I can’t wait to go back on Monday.

I agree with the other person who wrote a review, this place is not only a hidden gem, but it’s also a great deal! The instructors are so well informed and the workouts are great. I got an amazing deal on 5 classes and I can’t wait to go back for more.

I can’t believe no one has written a review for this place yet. What a hidden gem. I was searching for some place closes to home but that would be the perfect fit for my 4 year old. I lucky found NTA because of a coupon i found in a monthly mailer otherwise i would have missed this place. I couldn’t be happier. The program is well laid out. Instructors are patient and make it fun. Some days are challenging but in a good way. My son looks forward to it every week. It’s a wonderful place and experience for him not just physically but emotionally and educationally as well.
