From the time we arrived until the time we departed, our interaction with everyone was pleasant. The instructions and advice we were given were helpful,. The horses we were assigned suited our abilities. Chandler was our guide. She made the ride interesting, informative and fun. Loved seeing wild turkey, wish we could have seen more wildlife. We appreciated that upon arrival, we were given information about the challenges of the 3 hour ride perhaps being beyond our 8 year old grandson’s capability.. And mine given that I’m a novice. We chose to switch to a shorter, less challenging route.

My family and I went on a 4 hour ride at the beginning of August. My brother was the youngest one with he’s 13, but I strongly believe that this activity can fit all ages. Our guide Greg lead our group. He was knowledge and kept a good conversation throughout the ride. Greg was very good at making sure everyone was always okay. My mother was very nervous but ended up having a great time. Also I was in a knee brace at the time, but the ride was very easy on my knee. I think everyone has basically already covered it in their reviews but I would like them strongly recommend paying a visit to Allenspark Livery.

We had a group of 5 for a 3-hour ride in mid-August. Awesome experience for all, each being generally fit and athletic but not super experienced riders. Our guide Ben was excellent, friendly, and informative. He also matched experience level, size, and personalities(from just a few minutes of pre-ride gabbing amongst ourselves) of horse and rider. Beautiful ride through the mountains, wonderful views. My horse, Sir Free Bird Lancelot(ha, what a hoot with my love of fun names and words), was the best«stable horse» I’d ever ridden, and indeed all the horses were responsive and energetic. I definitely recommend taking your next trail ride with Allenspark Livery!

We had a great one-hour trail ride this morning lead by Wrangler, Claire. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled w/the horses. She put my timid 7 yr. old daughter(for the first time riding horseback on her own) at ease, leading her horse the whole way. We’d definitely come back and strongly recommend this activity for other families!

We took our family here in late July 2014. Everyone was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. We had our 6 year old and my husband and I are both infrequent riders but they did a great job with giving us all the info and reminding us along the way and we had good horses. Claire lead our group and the 1 hour trail was so beautiful. I was a unforgettable, fun experience!

My boyfriend and I went up to snow mountain ranch for the breakfast ride. I was very impressed on how easy they made everything! ! I made our reservations late the night before and it was no problem at all! Our guide was hunter and she was such a sweet girl and very knowledgeable, everyone was so professional. The horses were great and they have a horse for any skill level! I felt like 2 ½ hr ride and an amazing breakfast for 55 $ was a very very fair price and we will definitely be back. I can’t tell you enough how much fun we had! !

Allenspark Livery is a charming off the beaten track riding stable with super friendly staff. My daughter & I went for the lunch ride. Our guides were Ben & Greg. Ben greeted us warmly when we arrived. The guys carefully selected horses for each rider in our group. The horses were gentle and seemed well cared for. The ride up into the mountains was lovely and Greg pointed out flora & fauna for us along with some other points of interest. We stopped in a meadow for a yummy sandwich lunch. The views are gorgeous. I highly recommend taking a ride at Allenspark Livery.

My mom and I did the lunch ride at Sombrero Ranch. It was about an hour up, a break for lunch and an hour back. Greg and Ben, our guides, were super friendly and knew a lot about the area. You can tell they knew a lot about the horses, which was nice when it came to picking who to ride. I have only gone riding a few times so I was a little nervous about my skill level. But it was no problem, even on the steep switchbacks. My horse, Fancy, was a diva. She kept trying to break for snacks and cut to the front of the pack. I think we’re soul mates. I recommend going on one of the longer rides because you get to see more of the sights. The lunch they provided was good. Just make sure you bring enough water. It gets pretty dry up in them hills. Next time I would be curious to try one of their half/full day rides.

We took the one hour ride here and had a good time. Destin our guide was more than helpful, he knew quite allot about the area and was very nice, he’s a keeper on your team. My mother’s horse seemed to have some problems with its hind end but they assured us they would take care of the horse. All in all a fun time!

We’re glad we took up this recommendation from the owner of the local general store in nearby Raymond. We had a great ride with a personable wrangler(Tara from Iowa). Lovely scenery — lots of expansive views of Mt Meeker. The trail was comfortable and varied — some up, some down, some flat. Our horses were steady and calm, great for the less experienced riders in our group. Prices seemed slightly better than other closer-to-Estes-Park stables browsed. Definitely quieter — our ride was just our family, which was very nice.
