This might be my favorite hotel ever, and I travel for business frequently. I was here for a month, and I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. The hotel was completely full when I was there. I had a non-smoking room, but the previous occupant had smoked in there. When I asked the staff if there was anything they could do about the smell, they steam cleaned the whole room including carpets, changed all the linens/curtains, and even borrowed an ozone generator from the hotel across the road to combat the smoke smell when I was at work. The housekeeping AND front desk staff then followed up with me to make sure I was comfortable. Wow! There was a breakfast bar every morning with a great assortment of hot and cold items. Three days a week they had a social hour with wine/beer/snacks/warm chocolate chip cookies. The dining area was warm and welcoming with a fireplace, couches, and big windows. The hotel walls between rooms were pretty well insulated, so noise was rarely a problem. There were free on-site laundry facilities. Easy access to the highway. Perfect kitchenettes in rooms for long-term stays. Fast, super-reliable internet. And best of all, the staff was always smiling and seemed genuinely happy to see me whenever I walked through the front door. Also, I forgot a personal item at the hotel, and the staff not only retrieved it for me, but Amy from the front desk took it to the post office and mailed it back to me on her day off! Wow. Really, really great place and great people!

The hotel is situated off Rt 100, behind the Boston’s restaurant, backing up to a very busy warehouse. My room was on the rear of the hotel and overlooked the warehouse, and while there were about 100 tractor trailers there at any given time, I never heard one, so the sound insulation was pretty good. Our suite was #302, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. The sofa also pulled out into a bed, but we couldn’t find any linens to go on it. The suites are a nice size. They could use some work. In our room, the carpets were very frayed, particularly between rooms, and at the edge of the tile in the kitchen. Most of the furniture and cabinets had a dark finish and were dinged and scuffed up. Cleanliness was not great. In the bathroom beside the kitchen, there was an abundance of curly black hair on the floor, and on the lip of the tub. Also, there was a curious brown smudge above the light switch. I don’t even want to think about what it might have been. Both bathrooms had toothpaste splatter on the wall behind the sinks and on the mirror frames. The king headboard had thick dust on the top of it. The breakfasts were good. My son always looked forward to seeing what was in what he called the«mystery chafer», because the two hot items changed every morning. The breakfast attendants were very cheerful and knew many of the guests. The lady who was at the evening snack time was quite unfriendly and honestly, rude. From 5:30 — 7:30 on Tues/Wed/Thurs, they have complimentary light fare and beer, wine, and soft drinks in the breakfast area. They have a soda fountain, and my husband asked if they had ice for the soda. The lady very rudely told him to go get some from his room. I looked in that kitchen. You cannot tell me that they did not have an ice maker in there. The place was jam packed, too, and it was all men. There you go, single ladies of the Lehigh Valley. Free booze and tons of men. You’re welcome! My only problem with the hotel, though, was the smoking. The entire 3rd floor reeks of smoke, all day, every day. It hits you as soon as the elevator doors open. When I complained to Amy, the Guest Service Manager(HA!) at the desk, she told me «It is what it is.» She made no apology, no effort to move me, no effort to investigate and see if people were smoking in non smoking rooms. «It is what it is.» Real professional. Also, I was walking through the lobby and overheard her very loudly trashing another guest to two employees. She was being so loud, I heard the entire conversation. The woman was«really freakin’ annoying» and her credit card was only authorized to be used for one day, blah, blah, blah. So, to sum it up, the hotel has potential, but management really needs to step it up with housekeeping, maintenance, and some people’s mouth and or attitude. Oh! And they are pet friendly. $ 75 pet fee.

We stayed here for almost a week. The staff is very nice and accommodating(& bike friendly!) The rooms are decorated more like home than the hotel feel with a small kitchen. Beds were very comfy!!! The breakfast buffet is really good with a lot of choices. Fresh fruit, waffle maker, yogurt, milk & something hot made every morning. The man who keeps the buffet stocked in the morning is really sweet and cares about his job. They also offer a light dinner during the week which is just so-so but it’s more than other hotels offer. They offer a free laundry room which is very handy! We didn’t use the pool or weight room. I It was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed & can’t wait to go back!
