I don’t know why this place seems so top secret, as it is a definite neighborhood go-to for those of us on the other side of the pike, with the next closest liquor store being the small shop inside Star Market. Anyway, I’ve been shopping at Boston Liquors since I moved to the neighborhood a year and a half ago. No matter who is behind the counter, I’m met with friendly service and occasional small talk. There always seems to be a liquor rep from any given brand offering samples whenever I go. Rating based on the elements of a decent liquor store: selection, price, safety(i.e. level of shade), hours, and accessibility. Boston liquors solidly delivers in all the aforementioned areas. Complete with a parking lot and ATM. What more could you ask for?

I will NEVER go back, I felt like they profiled my age because I’m a young Asian woman and wouldn’t believe my license was real because it was a VT license(I was trying to buy ONE bottle of wine) even though I had been there before without a problem. I also showed them all my other credit cards with my name but they wouldn’t accept those either. I have never had this issue before and after all that they tried to keep my license. They only gave it back after I got extremely upset but would not sell me the wine. They treated me poorly and like a child with a fake id as a 24 year old woman. I do not recommend coming here if you want to be treated as a respected customer.

Great spot. This place has a great liquor and beer selection, you’ll never NOT find what you’re looking for. Great prices also. The parking lot can get creepy and somewhat annoying to maneuver around, so if you can grab that ONE spot on the street before the lot(frequenters know exactly what I’m talking about), do it!

I live in the area, and there’s certainly no shortage of places to get your alcohol fix. However, even though this is further away than Blanchard’s and other popular places, I often find myself driving that extra few minutes down to this place. They have a great assortment of craft beer at extremely competitive prices. Plus, the more popular brands are at a discount relative to other places(hello 12.99 Sam and $ 13.99 Magic Hat 12 packs) They have a large amount of premium and discount wine. Never bought liquor here(save that for when I’m in NH), but they seem to have good rotating specials. Bonus: They have mystery bags at checkout!
