Allstate Insurance: Family First Insurance

I was not happy with my experience at this agency. I am a former Allstate employee, so I understand the capabilities an agency has and the level of customer service necessary to do the job. I called to purchase a policy over the phone and was assisted by Claudia. I told her exactly which coverage I wanted (I had already quoted the policy online so I knew how much it would be). Once she was done with her quote, she quoted me lower than what I had online. I knew the rates wouldn’t be different so I confirmed with her she had the correct deductibles and coverage that I requested; she assured me she did. I purchased the policy, she said she would email me the documents in 5 minutes. They didn’t come until the next day. The coverage was wrong/​not what I requested. I emailed her back asking to correct, she did. I needed a CERTIFICATE listing the correct coverage, deductible, and interested party. She sent me the wrong documents. I emailed her back and called the agency multiple times and was ignored and never heard from her. I never received the document I needed. I emailed/​CC’d Ken Merrell on an email as well for what I needed and never heard from him either. Dissapointing!

Reasonable prices and easy to reach

Insurance is something you never want to deal with, but are thankful to have when you need it. Reviewing an insurance place is a bit odd for me. Its not a delicious restaurant or hip coffee shop, but just as easy to walk in and leave happy.
I do everything online, including shopping for insurance, but that starts to make less sense when you are looking to insure more than just a single car policy. I came here seeing if they could lower my Progressive rates, which they did! And I came back to insure my home and rental. What I didn’t expect was that it SAVED ME TIME, by being able to talk to one person that already knew my policies. On top of that, I got some good education on different types of insurances, and where my coverage was weak.
I now have PUP and Life Insurance through Allstate, and if I need to, I just hit up Ken over email and can trust everything gets taken care of. If they start serving small batch coffee here, I’d probably come in more often, but calling or email is easier for me, and much easier than online insurance shopping.
