I am from New Jersey and we have some high standards for pizza and italian food. I’ll be honest — the food isn’t bad. Is it amazing? Not in my opinion, but it’s decent. The reason I gave this 3 stars is not because of the food but rather the manager. There was an issue with the pizza my fiancé and I ordered and the manager came over and decided that the best thing to do in that situation was to argue with me, call me incompetent, talk over me, and roll his eyes at me. I have been in the food industry since I started working as a teenager. I know how situations like that should be handled and in NOWAY is that how you should do it. I could not believe how terrible the interaction was and question how he ever got to be in charge of a business that is customer service based.

If you are looking for an authentic thin crust Italian pizza OTP, you have found the place. Their pizza is out of this world. Similar to Varasano’s and Varuni Napoli without the drive ITP.

On a Friday night I visited this place with my fiancé and few friends. I was craving for Neapolitan style pizza. My girl-friend among meats, only eats chicken. So after some Unilocaling I came across this restaurant. This place is little far from where I stay but for good pizza I can any distance. After 20 minutes drive we finally reached Campania. Very casual looking place. We were seated right away. We started our meal with Peperoni e Mozzarella. It’s like mozzareall served with sauteed red bell peppers. It was a good start to the meal. They have a pretty decent wine collection. We ordered a bottle of chardonnay to go with our Pizza. We order Classic Margherita DOP and Dolce Piccante. The difference between Margherita and Margherita DOP is the mozzarella. The Margherita DOP has buffalo mozzarella instead of mozzareall made of cow milk. Pizza was served within 10 minutes. It was very good, specially the crust. For desert my fiancé ordered Tiramisu and I ordered the dark chocolate Gelato. Tirumisu was better than the Gelato, it was very light. Over all a very good pizza experience. We surely go back.

I was flying into Alpharetta from Seattle all last winter for work and ended up a regular here. Whenever I’m traveling for work I try to eat somewhere new every night and explore the area. However, the service and food here were so fantastic that I just kept coming back. Eating a lone every night can get tiresome but the staff here was so friendly. I felt comfortable just hanging out and reading while savoring the delicious meal. I had every pasta dish and was completely full and satisfied with every meal. If I’ve ever in town again I will be sure to stop here for dinner, it’s the best!

Excellent pizza and mozzarella! We like a few places in the area(Crust, Antico) but the pizza here is distinct and consistently awesome. Their bufala mozzeralla is amazing, not something you can find everywhere and the service is consistently excellent. As for pizza the Margherita DOP and Salumi Mista are excellent! The 1,000 degree brick pizza oven cooks the pizza in like two minutes — very cool! If you’re in the area it’s a must try.

While on business in Alpharetta, myself and three colleagues visited Campania for some delicious Neapolitan pizza(based on Unilocal reviews). I am definitely the foodie of the group, so I was the one leading the charge on appetizers. I ordered the Prosciutto e melone(prosciutto & cantaloupe) for the table, promising that it tastes MUCH better than it sounds. When the app came out, there was much hesitation, but everyone tried it and loved it. The ability to deliver on such a unique appetizer assured me that this place was legit! We each ordered a different pizza and shared with each other. The pizza was crispy, yet not teeth shattering and each had the perfect balance of sauce and cheese+topping. To end our meal, we had the blueberry pie gelato; that was the most amazing gelato I’ve ever had. Ever. In conclusion, go here if you like great good at normal prices. If you’re stuck in the mindset that(insert pizza chain here) has good pizza, prepare to have your world rocked. Definitely the top 2 Neapolitan pizzas I have ever eaten. I will be back next time I’m in Alpharetta.

The issue of pizza is quite divisive. Some people(myself included) tend to get very passionate about our pie. If you enjoy real pizza(not salt crusted bread or mile high dough), then you must go to Campania. Perfectly cooked pizza every time, and service that is always friendly and efficient. A real credit to the Alpharetta area.

It is difficult to find any faults with Campania. Had the Tortufo and the Salumi Mista. The Tortufo was awesome. The pancetta gave a nice balance to the richness of the truffle oil and cheese. I am usually disappointed by white pizzas and find myself asking for some tomato sauce. Not so here. The rosemary was the perfect finish. The Salumi Mista was probably the winner of the night, because the salami was excellent. Not super impressed by the sausage. Might try something that had the salami and other ingredients on it next time, as it almost took away from the pizza for me. Would have also loved a little more basil on this one. It was my birthday when we visited, so we got a free cannoli. It was good, didn’t knock my socks off. Service was great. Our server was knowledgeable, though maybe a little more absent than I’d expect with the restaurant not that busy. The one area for improvement is the music. They could really class it up a bit by not playing 80s and 90s hits way too loud. Doesn’t fit the ambiance. Didn’t love it.

I am from out of town and was told this place was great but I had no idea it was THIS great. Their menu is pretty simple but not too small by any means. I stopped in for lunch before I had to be off to the airport. I got a glass of wine(Chianti, which I was semi surprised they had as I feel it’s not the most popular of the red wines) and ordered a margherita pizza. I am on my own and probably should have planned a trip here for when I had a hotel to go back to, as I’m not sure I can bring left over pizza on the plane. The pizzas was delicious, crust is perfect with the best slight char indicative of a wood burning brick oven. Loved it. Atmosphere is nice, relaxed, clean and stylish. I definitely recommend it!

This place is it! for authentic Neapolitan pizza. All the pies are excellent and the service is always top notch. Don’t even bother with Antico at Avalon, there is no comparison. Highly recommend any item they make.

Had their pizza as take-out on a whim — was decent at best. In the area & decided to give the place a go with my family. Awful customer service would be an understatement. Holding tables for customers that aren’t there — not because of reservations but, because you expect they’ll show up is… Well, stupid. Do yourself a favor — drive 4 miles from there & go to 850 in Milton. Far superior experience & the pizza is head & shoulders above this joints! I should mention that the conversation that I had with the manger(maybe owner) with regards to an explanation of this policy resulted in us walking out. It was this interaction that secures the fact that we will never visit this establishment again.

Best pizza in Georgia. I’ll take the Pepsi challenge with Antico any day. Awesome service staff and very organized operation. The cleanliness of the establishment is great as well. I will definitely be making a return visit. BTW its traditional Napolitano(sp)or Neapolitan, which means the real deal, no extra large jalapeño pineapple bacon with an order of hot wings. Just the freshest pizza. Pasta, salads, soups, meats and cheeses. If Eriks behind the bar get him to make you a chocolate shot with amaretto(don’t remember the name specifically) maybe dutch chocolate .shot,?? I can’t remember but yes this is one of the greatest establishments I’ve been in. Cant wait to return

Really enjoyed this place. I had the white pizza with truffle oil and mushrooms. Yum!!! And pizzas were perfect size. Not too big or too small. We ordered the Salumi pizza as well which has a little bit of spice to it. And of course took advantage of the Wednesday half off wine. Can’t resist that. Then desserts: salted caramel gelato, cannoli, lemon cello cake, tiramisu and cheese cake. We didn’t cheap out in dessert that’s for sure. My favorites were salted caramel gelato, lemoncello cake and tiramisu. Service was great and will definitely come back.

My honey and I decided to try this place out based off the Unilocal reviews, and wow, so glad we did! We originally were looking for something near the Alpharetta square but the extra two miles past it ended up being well worth it! The place is in a small shopping center, and not very large. It wasn’t insanely busy when we arrived so we grabbed a seat at the bar. We started off with wine(all Italian and French wines) and the bartender gave us a sample. We got two glasses of the casa del orco falanghina, and it was perfect! We then ordered a starter, the Rosetta, with a side of sauce. She brought us a generous side of sauce with it! The bread was amazing, and didn’t need the sauce at all. Their marinara sauce is fresh but lacking extra flavor to it. We both were confused on what to order but the bartender suggested their special, a veggie pizza with artichoke/goat cheese/fontina/red peppers/spinach/balsamic glaze. It sounded great, and good lord, it ended up being one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time! The woodfire oven pizza makes a huge difference! We were both still hungry after eating it. In fact, the pizza made us even hungrier. We decided to try the homemade tiramisu, and another mistake, bc it made us even hungrier! It was so creamy and perfectly made! We ended up ordering another one … Such piggies we are! The entire meal, from start to finish, was perfect. The only bad I could even mention was when the woodfire oven smoked up the entire restaurant and they had to open the doors. It’s located in the same room as the tables, and is really cool looking(looks like a 1960s football helmet). The food here is a nice companion for your stomach! You will not regret stopping by here for the food! We shall return indeed!

My boyfriend and I decided to try somewhere different and since we were at the Avalon, downtown Alpharetta was just too close to pass up. I looked on Unilocal and we decided on this restaurant based on reviews. Campania is an authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurant, and Neapolitan is my favorite type of pizza. We were not disappointed. We decided to sit at the bar, and the bartender greeted us right away. We had a good visual of the handmade brick oven where all the pizzas were being baked. The wine list was Italian and French wines, and I’m unfamiliar with them so I chose a Chardonnay type of wine. She was kind enough to let us both have a taste before ordering a glass. The wine actually was really really good. We were starved so we decided to order an appetizer. We chose the Rosetta, a pizza dough bread with olive oil and parmigiano reggiano. I ordered a side of red sauce to go with it but it didn’t really need it. For the pizza, we decided on the special which was a white pizza with roasted red peppers, artichokes, spinach, feta, fontina, and drizzled with balsamic glaze. The pizza was absolutely delicious and I could not stop eating it. In fact we both said we could order another large and polish it off. It was seriously that good. The crust was so soft and warm and the pizza was just the right amount where you did not feel disgustingly full when you finished. We still wanted more so we decided on the homemade tiramisu which came in a big martini glass. It was really good and the espresso flavor with the marscapone was perfect. It was so good we ordered another one and split it. We will be coming back here. It is definitely my new favorite pizza place in the area.

I gave 3 stars only because the pizza was good! Ordered the bolognese with penne pasta. No flavor. Very bland. My mom ordered some mushroom pasta in white sauce. It wasn’t hot! Also had the lemoncello cake. Couldn’t even taste the lemon flavor. We were disappointed. Won’t be returning.

Campania is a small restaurant that serves Neapolitan pizza. While I was waiting for a table, I did some reading about the standards to which pizza Napoletana(Neapolitan pizza) is prepared and it being a TSG product(traditional specialities guaranteed) in Europe, et cetera. It turned out to be worth the wait. After I was able to get a table, I ordered the Vitello Polpetta(Sliced house-made veal meat balls with Pomodoro, Fior-di-Latte Mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, garlic oil, fresh basil & crushed red pepper). It was good and satiating! All the ingredients complemented each other as did the Merlot I selected. I ate the pizza in traditional manner using a fork and knife. My original wine choice was not available; my second choice was a glass of Venica Merlot. I ordered the house-made Tiramisù after dinner; it was good. The Tiramisù is served in a Martini glass. Local pizzerias are great, but this is better! I plan to visit again.

If you like authentic Italian setting this spot is a nice reprieve from chain pizza joints. With the imported ceramic oven view-able from the seating area, they claim a 1000 degree oven to cook a thin crust pie in about a minute or so. Freshest ingredients, choice of buffalo mozzarella, full bar, and well. great Italian deserts. Also good selection of other dishes and great fresh salads with unusual ingredients, balanced and fair tastes. Not the cheapest joint, but great experience. Also supporter of local craft beer on tap. So worth a try.

I really love this place. You ask why? Ok maybe you didn’t but Imma tell ya. The décor is intimate, yet open — perfectly lit, inviting. In the summer, the patio even though it faces the parking lot is away from the street and still is a nice experience. 5 stars. The service is always fantastic. It’s not prudish or snobbish yet spot on, friendly, and attentive. 5 stars The appetizers Ive had are not only fantastic, but light, and a perfect compliment to a dinner. I could make a meal out of multiple appetizers, or enjoy a few and split a pizza — I always like having the option to mix in multiple tastings and feel like everything is high quality. The Pizzas that I have had have come out perfect — they have a woodfire oven that was imported from Italy, the taste of the woodfire is present throughout the pizza without being overbearing, and the dough comes out crispy yet fresh. This is a destination spot, if you aren’t a resident in Alpharetta, it’s still worth the drive.

The pizza and servers here are awesome! Every pizza I’ve had has been good, here’s why: 1. Chewy, thin crust 2. Balanced toppings 3. Interesting combinations 4. Fresh ingredients The place is fairly small and when they are not seating on the patio it’s pretty tight. If you call ahead they will put your name on the list so you don’t have to wait as long. Still, it’s worth the wait.

This is a great Neapolitan pizza joint in Alpharetta. I wanted to stay away from the city, and I noticed the Antico at the Avalon didn’t have as great of ratings as their Howell Mill location. Ordered 2 salads and 1 pizza. Was filling enough for 2 people. Salads were huge! They do not jip you on anything. Pizza was a little smaller than expected, but still filled the both of us up. Decent pricing for a small Alpharetta joint. Maybe will come back in the future if I am ever in the area. I noticed they had a small bar and a decent size wine/beer list.

Based on other reviews I had seen I decided to give Campania a try. It is not super-convenient to me, but I was meeting a friend for lunch and it was over his way. Their style is the traditional Neapolitan, which has become more popular of late. They seem to take it seriously, as they also have Italian wines. Their beer selection appeared good also. We split a Maghritta, which was not huge. It was a light lunch for 2 people, but 2 pizzas would almost certainly have yielded leftovers. It was quite good. Our server, Meghan, was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. As a comparison, I found dining here vastly preferable to the experience at Antico, which has a similar pizza style. Here, you can actually get a booth or table for your party(not the large cafeteria-style communal dining) and it is quiet enough to have a conversation. Given the choice, I’d definitely pick Campania. I would definitely consider a return visit.

This place is great! We show up on a Thursday at 8pm and get the very last table. They have the Braves game on and the atmosphere is casual, but there’s a lot going on. Decent beer selection, our waitress was very accommodating, but the food was the star of the show. We had a salad(not sure which one), the Salsiccia pizza and an order of bread. $ 60 seems expensive for dinner for two, but half of that was drinks. I was very pleased with our experience and we will return soon!

My husband and I are in love with this place. Since we moved back we were hoping to find a good Neapolitan pizza place and everyone raved about Antico. We had high hopes for Antico but it just didn’t make the cut. We found Campania on a Unilocal search and thought we would try it. We went at an odd time, 4pm on Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty dead but that was perfect for us. App — prosciutto and buffalo: we loved it. The cheese was light and fresh and went perfectly with the olives, balsamic, and I think honey. I would come here just for that appetizer. Pizza — Sofia: we enjoyed the dough to start off with, Antico’s dough was the worst part of their pizza. The toppings were just enough and the sausage wasn’t overwhelming. I do want to try different ones next time, there’s definitely a next time. Dessert — Panna Cotta Coffee Crunch: Sooo good! This and the tiramisu are both made in house and you can tell! I could have had a little less topping because it’s so strong but a really good flavor. I think this was my favorite panna cotta I’ve ever had because for me it was perfectly smooth and a really nice finish. Affogato: my husband loved his, seemed good but I couldn’t get a full taste after my dessert so I’ll try it again. My husband and I loved the pizza we had in Italy and this was along the same lines, we’ve had better in DC be this was really good… Everything else was amazing including our server who I think is the bartender(Brad?). I do wish they had a changing table for babies.

Met up with a friend here Wednesday night for an awesome meal. The atmosphere, food, service, and company(of course) was seriously GREAT. The Georgia Bulldog cocktail was to die for. It consisted of vanilla vodka, Bailey’s, and Coke. Food wise, I was proud of myself for having the stomach for a three course meal. To start off with, we shared the peperoni e mozzarella. The base was a bed of mozzarella cheese with red peppers atop it. Simple but so good. We couldn’t understand why a spoon was provided… Um. I am still confused. Lol. We decided to share the vitello polpetta pizza(?) which was recommended by our waiter. There were three categories to choose from: red, white, or gluten free. The recommendation was definitely good. It was supposed to be spicy, but I only had a few bits where the spiciness was noticeable. The dough was not the typical heavy dough that would fill your stomach in a bad way. It was super light and didn’t leave you feeling stuffed in a bad way. The pizza was of course baked in a brick oven. Yum. Apparently there was only one pizza size. I think it’s about 13 inches or comparable to a medium size. We were definitely stuffed so the proportion was just about right. I didn’t get our waiter’s name, but he was an older gentleman who used to own his own pizza place so he was super knowledgeable and kept giving us recommendations since we were so lost as to what to get. He also had a great accent as well. He made pronouncing the menu items a breeze. He was overall very friendly and such a warm persona as we had a personal conversation with him aside from talk about food and drinks. Anyway… For dessert, the house made tiramisu did not disappoint as it was also recommended. This was the first item we saw, and we were glad the recommendation was this so it made our choice so much easier. :) From hearing about this place as a pizza joint, I thought it was super chill and casual. Something like in a bar scene. We were here around 7PM, and there was a relaxing and yet romantic vibe in the air. I mean. The candle light was a nice added touch. Parking was pretty plentiful since this place was at the end of a strip of stores. There were also outdoor seats too for the warmer weather.
