Food Snob here. Writing a quick review of this Chinese restaurant. I picked up the Chicken Lo Mein, and it was good. Now, im not going to say it was so good you see Heaven come down… I did give them 3 stars people. Had good flavor, and plenty of meat, but my biggest qualm with it was that it had the entire bottle of cooking oil in my one dish. No matter how much I wiped my lips, they were still coated. If they reduced the amount of oil, they would definitely have gotten 4 stars. Till next time… Food snob out!

Good chinese food. I’ve been ordering from Jaz for about 8 years. It’s was my go-to option when I lived close by. The quality of the ingredients fluctuated from very high quality to «just OK.» So yes I would recommend the food. The delivery of food fluctuated wildly. I loved less than 2 miles from the restaurant and it would take between 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes for the food to arrive. One of the best features of the restaurant was their ability to see my last order and recall it for a new order. This was very convenient for me, who often orders the same entrée(with substitutions or eliminations) and a different side. The dishes almost always arrived as ordered. Very cool!

I can honestly say the BEST chinese in town… They can be a little slow sometimes but trust me it is definitely worth it.

Terrible service. We have been loyal customers for years. Ordered online and called after an hour and a half to ask where our food was. And they suddenly didn’t speak English and hung up on us five times when we asked for a refund. Deplorable service.

I still love their food but they’ve jacked up the prices. Last delivery ended up taking an hour and a half which is unacceptable. I think this place stays open because there’s no other Chinese food restaurants around other than wok and chopstick on the other side of 400.

The good: Food is consistent and good. Particularly proteins always seem higher quality than other places. Keeps us coming back. We have tried pepper steak, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, mu shu pork, chicken with vegetables, spring rolls, potstickers. We enjoyed them all and haven’t found anything disappointing The not as good: Delivery times are unreliable When ordering online, we have had multiple issues with waiting up to 20 min and then getting a call that they are out of whatever we ordered and then we have to choose something else and wait even longer. Better to call for to go or delivery orders.

This is a great little Chinese restaurant. The dining room is small, it sits about 40 or so people. Their biggest business is Take-out, so don’t be surprised if you’re the only one there. Now the food, I absolutely love the food here. You must try the wonton and hot sour soups. I normally get the Si Chuan Style Chicken, it has plenty of spice for you plus alot of veggies. Also good is the Chicken and Broccoli or the General Tso’s Chicken. Very friendly staff and nice quiet dining area, with that being said, don’t be surprised if you have to ask for refills and/or your bill.

Placed a delivery order from here tonight. I ordered the General Tso’s Tofu(white rice) and a small wonton soup for myself, Chicken Lo Mein and spring rolls for my son, and Chicken Fried Rice(added egg) and spring rolls for my husband. My Tofu dish and soups were excellent! So nice to have the tofu option for a popular dish. My son enjoyed his Lo Mein and spring rolls. He said it was really good. The hubby fell asleep, so he hasn’t eaten yet. His food looks great though. The delivery was only $ 1. We most definitely will be ordering from here again in the future. The food arrived in a timely manner, was hot, and the young man who delivered the food was very sweet.

Ordered from them a number of times for delivery. Friendly, patient w the language barrier and most importantly serve up good food. I usually get the stir-fry trio(similar to others’ triple delight). Lean good tasting meat and shrimp with fresh vegetables. Sodium /MSG seems low which is another big plus. Only negative I’ve experienced is there egg drop soup lacks taste. Overall really good spot though, give it a try

We placed an order online for pick up at 5pm. We arrived at 5:05pm and sat in the restaurant waiting until 6pm for our order to be ready! We had a toddler with us as well, a hungry toddler waiting an hour just to pick up our take out order was not pretty. They gave us 3 free cans of soda but we didn’t want that, just preferred to have our food when we ordered it. An extra 5 – 10 mins would have been fine but an hour late?! That’s crazy. We won’t be back. The food was forgettable as well. Strange the egg fried rice was yellow?

Highly suggest you don’t order delivery from Jazz. As the saying goes 3 strikes and your out. Tonight is the 3rd time we tried Jazz and have always had difficulties. But tonight after 2 hrs they just told us it wasn’t coming. No apologies no service. DONOTUSETHISPLACE

One of my Caucasian roommates frequents here for lunch, when he started working up in this area. Since we just recently moved closer in the Roswell area, including another friend, we decided to try this place for dinner. Dine in experience: Inside the restaurant itself, the décor as other reviews suggest, are pretty much minimum-list. Yellow walls with a few pictures hanging on one side. I didn’t eye for a health score inspection, but from my experience at eating at Asian owned establishments; it would be near the cash register most times. There are separate men and women rest rooms. For a place this small it’s appreciated due to the usual stereotypes of both genders. They provide kikkoman soy sauce, though if it’s the actual low sodium kind I’m not sure. There isn’t a TV. Nor any white noise or stereotypical Chinese opera themed background music. And against what their name implies, there isn’t any Jazz music. Service: The restaurant operates more designed for the lunch crowds and take out. Our dinner on a weekday night included only one other table, a older Caucasian couple who ordered two entrees and wine. Walking in we were immediately greeted by the young man running the cash register and then asked if we were doing take out or dining in. He offered us wherever we wanted to sit. Then promptly provided menus and asked for our drink orders. And later our food order. The elder lady brought out our sides first and then entrees. I won’t knock on her for knocking over my friends can of coke as she was refilling his glass of water. She immediately apologized and brought him another can with out asking. After that, we really didn’t see either as much. Make sure to sit closer to the kitchen if you are the type to ask for constant water refills. Food: I didn’t come in with high expectations, but it was generally met. Alright, time for what you guys are really interested in. Hot and sour soup: be surprised that this kind of establishment has a good version. Not too sour or tangy. Good amount of veggies. Cheese triangles: I’m not the type that likes crab Rangoon or cream cheese in sushi, so I left my share for my friends. Their description; it’s…ok. Chicken skewers: this is covered with the red Asian BBQ marinate. Each piece was quite juicy and had a light taste of the marinate. I think it was just dipped in before cooking vs letting soak over night. If you’re Asian don’t expect a taste you grew up on. It’s toned down a bit yet still juicy. Mongolian beef: my roommate ordered his usual during lunch. He described it as tasting the same as he gets it for lunch but bigger portions. So it’s consistent. Though the dish has«LOTS» of onions. After killing the all the beef, there were more than half a plateful of it remaining. Definitely ask them to go light on the onions if possible, so it’s not full of fillers. The taste of the sauce is a sweet but not over powering. Actually quite good for a take out/delivery kind of Chinese food place. Most of the pieces that I picked off were well done, yet still tender and not dry. Good pick if you want to play it safe. Lo Mien(w/trio combination) my fried always orders this kind of dish at every Chinese restaurant. She described it as being too sweet for her taste and slightly greasy. I tried a few bites and thought it was OK, similar to most take outs offer. There’s a decent amount of each protein, though there are more chicken and beef compared to the number of shrimp. The portion was huge and she had to take the rest for to go. Happy family: I usually order this at most Chinese food restaurants as it includes almost all the proteins. That way you can see what kind of meat and quality of the shrimp. Their version includes chicken, beef, shrimp and scallops. Veggies were carrots, water chestnut, snow pea leaves and broccoli. It’s not the best I had. But for take out quality this is still good. I would order it again just for the amount of protein they give and didn’t skimp out. Fried rice: as other reviews complained about, this isn’t actually fried rice of the typical Chinese food fare. It’s yellow seasoned rice. I wish they would just state it as it is and not try sell it off as fried rice. As for taste, it’s not bad. More meh then anything, go for the white rice instead. Summary: For the area, and this kind of setup for what it is. The price is reasonable for the portions and quality. My Asian friend and I agree, that this place adjusts the amount of Asian seasoning they use for the dishes. It’s more Americanized than authentic Chinese, but I think it works well for the lunch crowd and those getting take out. There isn’t much Asian cuisine choices except for the numerous Thai restaurants in the area, but jaz is worth a try for cheap eats.

Poor service. I placed an order for delivery and they told me it was going to be 45 mins eta. After an hour and 40 mins, I contacted them and they advised because my order wasnt $ 12 dollars they couldn’t deliver. My order was $ 11.78. They never call me back.

Great service, great food. I eat here at least once a week at lunch. I have been in Georgia for almost 2 months now, and this had to be my favorite Chinese cuisine. Keep it up!

This Chinese place isn’t for everyone, which is a hard concept for people to grasp I guess. But if this establishment were to have a mission statement it would be somewhere along the lines of «quality food at great prices for carry-out or delivery!» If you are in a rush and need a place to rest your gams, then yes, the dine in area serves exactly that purpose. Yellow walls, uncomfortable chairs, and the constant clanking wok sounds from the kitchen… people you get what you pay for. But thank God they don’t have a fountain or the background music of «flowing water»! If you, like me, are a very single young adult living on a tight budget who has an appreciation for good Chicken Lo Mein, the best fried rice in North Fulton, and a company who can respond to your needs if you let them known, then this is your place. I have been coming to Jaz for a while, and I will admit I have had some things on their menu that weren’t the best. But like a loyal and responsive customer, I let them know. In response they asked me for my suggestions. And I gave them a run down of the best chinese dishes prepared by well known take-out establishments all over the Metro Atlanta area. And to my great surprise, they went out and explored most of my suggestions and revamped their recipes. If you do not mind spending the extra 30% per item just to have an «enhanced dining experience» well fine, take your business somewhere else. But if you are on a budget and don’t want to settle for that mess the Panda serves. Then call your order in, give them about 15 minutes then go pick it up!

They don’t even deserve 1 star! Every time you call for delivery, they say«50 – 55 minutes» what they really mean is «70−90 minutes» and you better make sure you call to check on your order because they usually forget to put it in. One time it took an hour and twenty minutes, they said the delivery car broke down, and didn’t offer any discount or apologies. Stay away, far away!!!

We just moved to Milton and I got on the Internet looking for some Chinese take out. Well I found Jaz. They were very nice on the phone and delivered our food within 35 — 40 min. Very nice delivery guy and the food was better than my favorite Chinese place where I lived before. I am happy I called!

Small strip mall place off McFarland, cozy area inside, bare yellow walls that are dotted with a few pieces of framed prints. Person at the desk could not suggest anything on the menu, as he/she does not eat at this restaurant… a bit a red flag I thought. But he/she did tell me what is popular. I had the sesame chicken and fried rice. The chicken was the dark meat that is common from what I have seen. Chicken was cooked too long, and too many pieces had that cartilage chew too them. This with the sauce that was a bland brown coating… I can’t say I would suggest it to anyone. Coworkers suggested this place because of it’s fried rice. I can see now that my coworkers and I do not agree on what fried rice should be. This was a yellow rice, with some sauteed onions, peas, and diced carrots. Plates were a yellow(color theme here?) plastic plates. While I don’t have an opinion of plate ware or flatware for that matter… these plates reminded me of those we had preschool. In short this place was a disappointment. The only silver lining would be the prices, they keep lunch special prices even on the weekend, items from 5 to 7 bucks.

i’d like to know how my previous review got removed, but luckily i hate this restaurant enough to write another one! i will start by saying that they have some of the best spring rolls in alpharetta. other than that, this place is of questionable cleanliness and has the worst customer service i’ve ever encountered at a restaurant in my life. they constantly mess up to-go orders, and if you call to ask where your things are, they will«forget» that you ordered it, or accuse you of lying about whether or not you have received it(seriously!) i used to place around 10 orders several times a week at this place, but they would not take my word that i was missing a side item and ended up losing my business because of it. they are especially disrespectful to black customers, but all around rude to everyone as far as i can tell. if you gave this place a good review, you probably just lucked out so far and will get your chance to be treated like crap soon enough.

«Warm and cozy dine-in area». Um, yeah, right. At least that’s what their takeout menu says. Their space is a small rectangle in a strip mall, almost nothing on the walls, a few tables and chairs and that’s it. It doesn’t compare to the atmosphere created at the Windward Chinese joints(eg Lin’s and Xian). So let’s stop fooling ourselves. This is a takeout/delivery joint for all intents and purposes. Their location is almost hidden from traffic on McFarland. You could live in this area a long time and never really notice this place. I should know! So I decided to get some takeout here tonight. Settled on garlic chicken with fried rice. The chicken was alright, but the sauce seemed too sweet. It wasn’t until later on that I realized that it was indeed spicy. Was wiping a bit of sweat from my forehead as I finished. The fried rice left a LOT to be desired. Was basically yellow rice with some peas in it, and tasted like it was leftover from lunch. So all in all, it is better than the other takeout place on McFarland(Wok and Chopsticks) but not in the same league as my Windward favorites. If you live in the immediate area, this place might be workable for delivery, otherwise I wouldn’t go out of your way to find them.
