Went for dinner on NYE with another couple. The ambiance and décor was great however the food and service was so so. Waiter screwed up the martini order, $ 9 loaded baked potato was not loaded… filet mignon with fat on it, I don’t think so. Should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve gone to Pampas where I have never! been disappointed. Will not be back~

I had the chicken bruschetta and it was great! I cannot stress how perfect this dish was. It filling and light at the same time. The perfect portion size. The fresh basil on the top mixed with the balsamic vinaigrette drizzle was perfect. Will be coming back soon! Also great service.

What a great lunch experience! We took a group of 20 employees to lunch the week of Christmas, and had a wonderful time. Matt, our server, was excellent and provided not only good service, but had a great attitude and sense of humor, which made our experience even better. We had a private room, which helped make our meal special, and of course, the food was EXCELLENT, as always. Check out the lunch deals. All but one is under $ 20. I had a delicious 8oz NY Strip, cooked to perfection, with the Frites(crispy shoestring style fries), for $ 19. We will definitely be returning!

Went back last night with my brother and a friend. Once again an great meal with great service. Remi is one of the best servers they have. My steak was cooked perfectly and their bread is the best in Atlanta. I’m glad to see them doing well and continuing the the great stuff they had going at the sandy springs location.

If you’re trying to impress or In need of fine cuisine, Ruth Chris will raise to the occasion. I took my bestfriend to this location to celebrate a milestone in his life. He is a chef himself and was thoroughly impressed. The steaks were cooked to our liking and the ambiance was lovely. Our waitress was friendly and attentive . The only down side is none of the main courses appeared to come with a side, each side cost extra($ 8 – 15). While we expected to pay a hefty price we thought that was a bit odd . This is a lovely establishment and a great place for date night or night out with friends, not so much a place to bring young children.

Our steaks were over cooked and the hot plates were sizzling so much that the grease splattered all over our clothing. I was hoping for more. I want my steak to be hot, but a 500 degree plate is stupid. At least wait until the steak butter quits popping before carrying it out, unless you intend to validate dry cleaning. The spicy mac and cheese was good, but no thanks. This is the McDonald’s of nice steakhouses. Skip this franchise and visit Bones. The small premium is well worth it. I regularly make better steaks at my house. See photos for evidence.

Made reservation for 11÷29÷15 — our Anniversary. They opened just in time for our anniversary last year. We have eaten an Ruth’s Chris for each anniversary. Now that we have lived in Alpharetta for almost 2 years we are so happy to have one that’s local. This visit was exactly what I expected. Wonderfully greeted by the hostess. Greeted by management and staff from other areas of the restaurant. Upbeat and knowledgeable waiter — Matt! The food was exquisite! Perfectly cooked steaks, tasty sides, perfectly paired wine and desserts to die for! Thanks for making our day special, yet again, Ruth’s Chris Alpharetta.

Chose RC for Thanksgiving without the turkey dinner– but a steak. Just my 80 yr old mom and 15 yr old son so picked Alpharetta for close to home, and Ruths was best choice. 1pm reservation and mom got to dress up and get out. Valet parked, immediately got seated in a booth– requested– and the servers were all over us. Started with a Mimosa and Bloody Mary and was very comfortable. Nice place, décor was in line with other Ruths and very large place. Started with calamari, lobster bisque, and spicy lobster bites. All were good, the bisque could have been hotter and a bit more meat and sherry but nice bowl. Meals were 2 Filet oscars and a 16 oz strip– all MR. Filets were really well cooked, no fat, the oscar does make it lean to rich quick and served with butter boiling on the plate. Broiled high before serving. Had bearnaise and asparagus and lots of butter-petite filet was large enough. The Strip was a good medium rare and very large but had way too much fat, internal and too much left on the ends. When trimmed up it was nearly have meat but what was there was very good. Jut think strip should at this caliber would be marbled well with no large grizzle or fat bits in the middles sides and ends. All said, great day for mom, a large crowd, many others seemed to opt for the special turkey meal but glad we chose the main menu for a good steak. Will be back as it’s close and just come for the filet! All good.

Amazing food, service and treated like royalty! We had dinner 11⁄20 — Friday night with cousins in town — group of 6. The hostess greeted us with a beautiful smile. Shannon, the manager, also welcomed us as we arrived and we gathered in the beautiful bar. This restaurant is beautiful! After drinks, our server Bernice treated us so gracefully. One at the table always has to order something special making it a challenge for unseasoned restaurants, but not for this one. And, they have a gluten free menu for those in our group needing one. Dining room was warm and cozy, as we sat near the fire. Appetizers of shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, tuna and delicious fried oysters — my first time trying — tuna was to die for, and the shrimp were huge! We love the rarer cooked steaks and these were perfect! Oh and the crème brûlée was the best I have had anywhere in the city! Was so delicious we decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner there — can’t wait!

We went again on 11/13/2015 for my friend’s birthday. I forgot to include in the reservation that it was his birthday and updated it 10 minutes before the reservation. To our pleasant surprise, they still managed to have«Happy Birthday» cut-outs and little balloons on the table. Ron was our server and provided nothing less than the perfect, professional service I would expect from this class of restaurant. I ordered a salad(I can’t remember the exact menu item but the vinaigrette dressing with feta cheese and pecans was amazing). My friends ordered a salad wedge and told Ron they would split it. To our surprise, they brought out 2 plates with the salad already split for them. Any other restaurant would bring you a salad with an extra plate and make you split it yourself. We ordered the broccoli gratin, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach as sides to our steaks. All of which were absolutely amazing; definitely the best creamed spinach I’ve ever had. At the end of the meal, Ron surprised us with a chocolate mousse dessert atop an Oreo cookie base with«Happy Birthday» spelled out in chocolate on the plate. Everyone agreed the dessert was incredible. When it came time to pay the check, I snuck away to secretly pay for our meal. The staff was more than willing to accommodate my request and keep it a surprise to my guests. It was another perfect meal and we will definitely be back.

On a positive note, we started at the bar with a cocktail prior to dinner having arrived a bit early. The bartender was fantastic; he was very helpful, informative and made excellent drinks. At dinner our server also did an outstanding job, he was attentive without being intrusive. He had a great disposition and a good sense of humor. The ambiance was very nice; low levels of noise and low lighting made the experience very intimate. The negative, while the food was prepared nicely the steaks were sub-par. My wife had a filet and one of our dinner partners had a NY strip, both were very fatty. A positive, the restaraunt did comp the strip steak, but it still was a bit of a let down, especially when one considers the cost.

2.5 stars really. Food/steak-ok –at one time this was the premium place to go for a nice steak but with so much competition and specialty steak places popping up everywhere they really do have their work cut out for them. This particular location seems to have fallen behind and it’s like maybe one step higher than Outback Steakhouse in terms of steak, their menu offerings, service and décor. Service was ok. The server was alright but we didn’t feel engaged or appreciated as customers. Servers weren’t rude and nothing happened but there was no personality or warmth. Nothing stood out no added touch or flair nothing too memorable. Décor didn’t feel intimate. We’ve been to other Ruth’s Chris in other states and this one just doesn’t measure up. $$$/4 pricewise for the quality of the food and steak, so really I don’t think the food is worthy of the exalted price they are charging, maybe we’re paying for the brand name/franchise fee I don’t know, service –mediocre Did not help that when we got there they seated us in a room where the air conditioning was broken so we were so hot in the already stuffy room. Seems they seated everyone in that room so we could all roast together with our hot plates of steak/food. I think I saw a standing fan in the corner wow that’s not very attractive looking. Had the crabtini– not much crab at all but it was tasty, seafood gumbo-ok not really to my liking it was a lot grittier than I’m use to, petite filet-ok cooked well but not very flavorful, cowboy steak– gigantic slab and it was good, asparagus-ok a little overcooked as it was flabby, bread pudding-tasty. Liked their wine selection stuff we hadn’t seen before or in awhile. Would recommend for a special occasion or biz lunch but make sure they have fixed their AC. We will probably go back if someone invited us or we are in the area. We came here on the spur of the moment because it was Labor Day and the other restaurant we planned to go to was inexplicably closed.

I love to eat out! It’s just in me and i’m trying to get better about it– however when you have the type of options like you do at Ruth Chris fighting the feeling is hard! Let me start with my awesome and phenomenal waitress JENNIFER!!! I love personable people and she was THEBEST! So knowledgable and helpful. How many times have I eaten out and gotten the waitress that was mad at something and never came to refill my drink nor give me the attention I needed?(It has happened more than a few times) Jennifer however, was the epitome of excellence! The food was delectable of course– but the service was top notch!!! Thanks Ms. Jennifer! I will be back! Unilocalers come here — ask for Ms Jennifer — you will not be disappointed!

It hurts me to only give Ruth’s Chris 3 stars. Having visited Ruth’s Chris Steakhouses all over the country, this one was our least favorite visit. The forced valet wasn’t a great start. We do not like other people driving our vehicle and we had no choice but to give them our car. Upon entering we were promptly greeted and all hostess’ were well dressed/manicured. We had made 6pm reservations and were walked back down a short hallway to a room with double doors and 6 tables. I felt like I walked into an Olive Garden. The room was way too bright, 80s music playing that was quite loud and well… it was just awkward. I enjoy my husbands company and conversation but I felt by doing so, I was the only one having a good time. It didn’t help that every other woman at the 5 tables was on their phone. Our server, Ron, was very kind, attentive and had wonderful food suggestions. I was a bit confused that he listed prices as the specials were named off. This was a first for Ruth’s. My husband ordered the filet and lobster combo, I ordered the house salad, 12oz filet and our sides were mashed potatoes and mushrooms. My salad came out with more blue cheese dressing than lettuce. The blue cheese dressing is absolutely amazing but I could have used half the amount placed on my salad. The lobster was my husbands favorite. He was quite pleased and the filet ended up in a togo box. I was a bit confused about my filet. I’ve never seen one in what looked like separate pieces. It’s usually one nice piece of solid meat. The flavor did not disappoint and we were very pleased with our meal. I did save room for dessert and asked Ron which I should order: the bread pudding or the cheesecake. We went with the bread pudding. It’s huge! Overall my lack of stars is for the ambiance. It was just really awkward and not the dim lighting and feel of what I have come to know of not only Ruth’s Chris but of traditional high end steakhouses. As of now, I can’t see us returning to this location, which is a shame because we recently relocated to Alpharetta.

My first time at this location. They are also located in Louisiana and Florida. I have to say not very happy with the experience. It took to long for my waiter to come to the table and take my main course order. It was a good 34 minutes before he approached to ask if we(my party of 4) we’re ready to take our order. Long story short, food was excellent. I guess I am spoiled from eating at Capital Grille, Bones, Cabernet restaurant and the once known Ritz-carlton«Dining Room restaurant». I didn’t feel like I was having a unforgettable dinner after dropping $ 400. I did not like that they placed me in a corner of the room to close to the wall next to the«Register/kiosk. I actually had to get up and move my table to the side.

Let’s start with this: valet parking in Alpharetta?! Leave the valet to crowded city streets please… In order to park next to the restaurant you must valet. Keep in mind the entire giant parking lot is completely empty at prime dinner time. Scam For more money. You have to park at the bottom of the hill in order to avoid valet and walk to the restaurant to pay for an expensive steak dinner. Now the real reasons for what would’ve been a zero star review if Unilocal allowed. We were sat at a nice table in front of the(fake) fireplace. Good start. However, off the bat, our waiter seemed extremely rookie for a restaurant with such a high reputation. He mumbled and seemed scared to serve us and approach us the entire meal. Also, the building and décor seemed kitschy and not at all how I’d known Ruth Chris’ to look. The appetizers were subpar. Soggy calamari, and beyond mediocre crab cakes. Not to mention the waiter carded me, but did not card my younger brother… If you’re going to card anyone not visibly old– card everyone. From there, we proceeded to have empty water glasses and wine glasses for a good 15 min until we could finally flag down another waiter… Who then asked us who our waiter was and why he wasn’t refilling our glasses. At such a high price establishment, this is awful. Do your job, keep the customer happy and figure out why the service is awful amongst the staff. Don’t ask us why. The steaks were served on tiny plates– quite difficult to cut a 16oz steak on. Drowning in butter and fat. The steaks were equivalent to what my dad picks up at publix for a last minute bbq at home. None of us were remotely impressed– and we are huge steak eaters. Never once were we asked how the steaks were– something that should be a standard at a high end steakhouse. Again our water glasses went empty until we requested more. Oh, and the reason I mentioned the nice fireplace we were sat in front of in the first place… 80% of the time we were there, the staff had service trays in front of the fireplace blocking the entire view with piles of dirty dishes for long periods of time. AWFUL. I do not want to pay for an expensive meal and stare at dirty dishes in front of a fireplace. Lastly, half of our party had had it and refused dessert, but two of us decided why not– we were out to enjoy ourselves. Cake was brought out(at best store bought quality) — yet our coffee did not arrive until we had almost finished our dessert. Again, unacceptable. I’ve had better service at a diner. We are more than fair, if not high tippers– yet we left with a $ 500 bill and gave a $ 12 tip. It was that bad, and we will NEVER return. There are too many great places to eat with wonderful service and food for us to waste money here.

Since this is a new store, open just 5 weeks, this is a «provisional» 4 star review, as our recent experience was more like 3.75. But we love Ruth’s, and we are optimists. Read on… As «Ruth-ies» we love a great steak, well executed, served in a classy environment by professional servers, and we’ve experienced that time and time again at our home«Ruth’s» in Woodland Hills, CA. Now that we’ve moved to Georgia, y’all, our new home-Ruth’s is here in Alpharetta. Let’s make ourselves at home on Haynes Bridge Road. Well the wait for the Alpharetta store has been marred by rather lousy experiences over at the Ruth’s in Kennesaw, where we really wanted to love the place. Each visit was a subtle disappointment, however. The food was(mostly) decent, but there was always something amiss in K-town. See my review here So we’ve trying to get a reservation here in Alpharetta for several weeks. They’ve been very busy with the Grand Opening, and we were delighted to get a reservation on Christmas Eve at 930, right after church. Woo-hoo! Lesson here: Plan ahead. Make reservations well in advance, at least until the novelty of this new store wears off. The building is impressive, and the owners have done a lot to pretty-up the exterior space. Valet parking greets you in the driveway. Once inside I couldn’t help but think this building wasn’t originally a restaurant. Enter into a foyer with dining rooms on either side and a stairway that ascends to I-don’t know-where. I think I saw rest rooms at the top of the steps? It’s all kinda chopped up. We are led to the bar area before dinner, and it’s a good experience. Well staffed with prompt, professional service we get a booth. Our server/bartender, I believe his name was John, is very good, and we are poured proper martinis. There are several TVs in the bar area so you won’t miss your favorite game. Soon we are led into the dining room that is behind the bar. Décor is sorta non-discript with wainscoting up the wall and a fireplace at the far end. Booths are large and comfortable, and the center of the room has tables and chairs. Opt for the booth if your party size allows. We had an order of Ruth’s calamari. This dish is always good(except over in Kennesaw). Deep fried squids are presented with a slightly sweet, slightly spicy drizzle. Simply good. This is where things went a little sideways. Steaks and salads were ordered, and as we were waiting we asked for a straw for water, and that was overlooked for about 15 minutes until our server was reminded. Another table was seated in the middle of the room after us, and we couldn’t help but notice that their table was getting more efficient service from their server. For instance, as they got their drinks bread arrived. We had been sitting at our table for 20 minutes. We had ordered our entrees and here we sat. No bread. Envious. Of course we asked and recieved warm bread moments later, but we shouldn’t have had to ask. Salads were nicely put together, the Caesar with a Parmesan(not so) crisp layered on top. The steaks are the raison d’detre at Ruth’s, and it is here they did not disappoint. A nice large New York steak was perfectly seasoned, deliciously buttered, tender and juicy, served on a piping hot plate. We’ve found that most Ruth’s undercook by a little, so plan accordingly and ask how the steaks are coming out that night. For example medium often comes out medium rare. It may be wise to check. We love the Lyonnaise potatoes. Well done. With extra onions. You’re welcome. If you want to keep it(relatively) healthy go for the asparagus or the spinach, both great choices. The shoestring french fries are the bomb. Don’t even consider the«normal» fries here. Coming in a huge fluted paper presentation thingie, like you’d find in Belgium, I dare you to eat them all! So good. We really like Ruth’s cheesecake. It’s not quite authentic by NY standards, but it is terrific! We’re told that the ice cream is Haagen Dazs, and it’s really good, too. We’re hoping for some improvement in service at this location as it matures. Only 5 weeks old it could be expected that there are some hiccups, particularly in service. We’ll be back to monitor and report progress, hoping to bring Ruth’s in Alpharetta up a full 4 star rating. Just keeping it real, folks. Happy New Year, everyone!

The soft opening while busy was very enjoyable. The staff while excited to be here were very peofessional yet personable. The shrimp cocktail was great. Firm, crisp, yet tender and beey large. The ahi tuna was good but very very spicy. You have been warned. The bone in ribeye cookws rare was — I“m told– to die for. My strip was also cooked to perfection and had great flavor A Ceasar salad was crisp and had a nice parm bite to it and was also prepaired very well. For desserts it was the cremebrulet and cheese cake. Both were fabulous. To top off the night our server Colin was a delite. Definitely lived up to the expectations and we will be back.
