This is a great everyday place. If I lived or worked near there I would probably be a regular. They make a good lunch(not great). Its not fancy(paper plates and plastic) and really casual. But, it does feel homey and comfortable. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

I like coming here a bunch! Friendly staff, good coffee, very homey and cozy. Breakfast potatoes are superb. Bagels and breakfast sandwiches are great. Outdoor patio pet friendly, parking in rear, good prices, and so far, it’s never been overly crowded. Quickly becoming one of my favorite breakfast spots.

Have worked in Alpharetta for 4+ years — but finally made my first trip to this staple. The menu is a little intimidating with loads of breakfast and lunch combinations. You sit at the table and a server will take your order and leave you with a slip — which you pay at the register when you are finished. Seems to be an extremely popular spot. I ordered a roast beef sandwich on a bagel with a drink. Somehow it rang up to $ 10 when the sandwich was supposed to be $ 6 and change? Anyway — the sandwich was fine — the roast beef did not have any«blood» in it at all. Was grey in color. May come back and try a meatball sub or a quesadilla. I told you the menu was big.

Really like this place for lunch, terrific soups and sandwiches, self serve beverages and chips, old style service, the owners and most diners are very down to earth.

Quaint little place but a little to rustic and lays back for me. Plastic ware, polystyrene cups and bowls, paper plates & a disorganized dining room. Food was fast but taste was moderate. At least there’s no need to dress up.

EATATHOME, THENCOMETOVISIT This is a cute little deli with a really cool old-school vibe. It is very casual so you can come in from your morning walk looking a hot mess and still be warmly received. The place is furnished with small tables for two and picnic tables for four or more. It reminds me of a dining hall in a children’s camp. The couple who runs this place is just really cool and down-to-Earth. So, my daughter and I decide to order a variety of items to taste so that we can get a real feel for the quality of the food. We order a pancake, french toast, bacon, veggie omelet, and breakfast potatoes. My daughter orders coffee which she really enjoys. The problem is that this diner needs a new breakfast cook in the kitchen based on the following: The leavening agent in the pancake was off which means you get a flat, dense pancake that does not quite cook all the way. If you want a light and fluffy pancake, you must use the appropriate leavening agent for your particular recipe and I personally recommend the can’t miss buttermilk pancake. While the pancake had a nice flavor, it definitely needed work. The omelet was not really an omelet but rather a sheath of over-cooked eggs wrapped around fresh veggies and cheese. I really appreciated the generous portion of fresh veggies, but over-cooked eggs are tragic and even more so if you are preparing an omelet. The french toast actually had wings. The french toast had so much egg added to the recipe that the eggs had cooked separately and formed wings which not only gave an unattractive presentation but also an unappetizing, eggy taste. Yuck! The natural potatoes with skin were nice and herby, which we liked. My daughter’s bacon was nice and crispy but too salty. This is a great place for grabbing a cup of coffee and a newspaper and having great conversation. Just don’t eat the food. Double check your bill before paying!

A great place for lunch on a work day. Love the Reuben and their soups. Good, fast service and reasonable prices. Been having lunch there every couple of weeks for the past 4 years. In fact, will probably head back over today… feeling like a Reuben!

I hate to have update my previous 5 star review but I must. Still love the matzoh ball soup but what I really don’t like is being overcharged for my food and it has happened consistently the last few times I’ve been there. In order to pay you bring up the small tag off the bottom of your order card to the register. At this point you are given the total. Unfortunately, nothing is rung in to get that total. It is off the top of the owners head. Sadly, the total has been over-inflated lately, by a lot. Anymore, I always add up what the total should be before I walk to the register. Today, it was about an $ 8.00 discrepancy. They got my $ 8.00 but lost a loyal, weekly customer.

First of all the owners our present everyday. Mr & Mrs Mel & Zelda Siegel. Former Crimson Tide Star. The food is fresh and made with tender love and care. I would travel hundreds of miles for the food and atmosphere. Make sure you ask for a hug from Mrs. Zelda before you leave. Tell her Mike Smoltz recommend this place. Blessings; Mike Smoltz

The pros: the outdoor seating is great and dog friendly, and the servers are nice. The cons: it’s really slow, the menu lacks any hint of creativity, and the food is barely mediocre. It’s just sad that this great location doesn’t have a strong restaurant attached to it. A real missed opportunity for the area.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and was soooo disappointed because I was so excited to try this place. SERVICE: Family owned. Had the pleasure of being serviced by the husband/father. He was very kind and personable, which is why I gave it 2 stars. ATMOSPHERE: The deli looked charming and inviting from the outside. However, the inside is dated and not clean. I usually love traditional family-owned establishments but this one was a disappointment. It felt neglected and unkept. FOOD: My sandwich was just OK; nothing special. My pie was awful. It tasted old and had the flavor of an unclean refrigerator. I should have known because the display case needed to be cleaned. I truly wanted to like this place but for me it just didn’t happen.

Pros: friendly owner and staff, good location and outdoor seating that’s pet friendly. The food is good for the price especially the kiddie korner breakfast. Cons: Fox news on TV, small bathroom and stuffy interior.

My wife and I found this place this Sunday morning. Glad we did. All day breakfast and lunch. Ordered the Matzo ball soup. Delish. Nice large Matzo. Whitefish on a everything bagel. Good fish and tasty bagel. FANTASTIC Potato Salad. My wife had the corned beef Reuben on rye. Very tasty. All you can drink beverages. Dog friendly environment outside. Homemade desserts looked great. Friendly service. Recommended.

Hmmm… this mom reminds me of a cafeteria with the self serve beverage station. Service wise, it reminds me of a mom/pop shop. Three and a half stars rounded up. Food: SIMPLE, yet tasty — I ordered the veggie omelet with the raisin bagel and homestyle fries. Homestyle fries are basically chopped up potatoes, seasoned with salt? It came with my choice of a bread item, so I chose the bagel toasted without the butter. I also added extra sliced tomatoes on the side for my veggie omelet. Presentation: if you’re expecting gourmet, look elsewhere. The beauty of this place is the simplicity of it all. They serve the food on styrofoam plates, serve beverages in styrofoam cups, etc. Utensils are plastic. Surprisingly, I really liked it all. Service: Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the whole, EXTENSIVE menu. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. Never fear! Anything you want, they WILL do at this deli. I wanted to order something off the menu and BAM! They did it(granted, it was only sliced tomatoes on the side). They also give you free samples of the chicken/tuna salad in case you’re on the fence about it. Overall: If I’m looking for a uncomplicated sort of meal, this is the place to go to. A double plus is that they allow dogs out on the patio — complete with water bowls and treats :) Dog friendly places are always a win in my book.

Located in downtown Alpharetta, this deli features a simple menu and dog friendly outdoor seating. 1st — 3rd stars — Dog friendly in a dog unfriendly suburban world So many places that I’d love to take my dog in the ‘burbs, sit back, enjoy some lunch and maybe a beer. And I can’t. Not so with The Corner Deli. Their whole reason for being(the outdoor seating, anyway) is so you can enjoy a meal with your best friend. Mine’s a greyhound, and she loves it. There are about 5 – 6 tables with 2 – 4 chairs out in front of the deli, along with 3 – 4 metal picnic tables. Dog water dishes and treats are provided. Sometimes, the waitresses will even bring out the beloved slices of good ol’ American cheese. 4th star — Cheap simple food The menu at the deli is dominated one one side by sandwich faire and breakfast on the other. I have enjoyed their reuben and their breakfast platters. Prices are reasonable — $ 7 for lunch or breakfast before drinks(free refills). My only quibble with the food — sometimes the biscuits with the breakfast platter are dry. Like hockey puck dry. Most times, though, they’re tasty. I wouldn’t say that I couldn’t get more lunch or breakfast for my money elsewhere, but when you have your dog with you, the the value of the food is secondary to canine bliss.

This place is killer. Its hidden on an offbeat corner in downtown Alpharetta. A good size selection of tables, inside or outside, and I can see the outside filling up on a good day. Everything was pretty well priced, I had no complaints. I started with a cup of tomato florentine soup, it came out nice and hot. Full of flavor. Sad cause it was just the soup of the day, but if it was a regular offering then I would be all over it. Everyday. After that, I got a Ham wrap in a sun dried tomato wrap. It was great tasting, enough ham to make me full for my adventures across town, but not so full that I feel as if Im about to explode. Overall it was great, and the waitress, forgot her name, was awesome. Pretty rad place.
