American fast food at its best. Home cut French fries with the potato skins still on them. The $ 1 taco for«taco Tuesday«seemed pretty small, but was very tasty with pieces of jalapeño cooked in the sauce.

Old school drive in with good food? Did i find a diamond? I sure did! First time checking out Demon Dawgs and went through the drive thru. The staff are very friendly and offered honest opinions on what to get that would be good. Steak burger with cheese was off the hook. Pretty decent size smaller thickness patty but that charbroiled taste though. worth it. The homemade honey mustard totally tasted homemade with that rich honey and salty mustard taste not a chemically let down like if i were to go to a big name chain. I would totally give this place another try and recommend it. Would have given 5 stars except they need to fix th3 drive thru speaker, and the fries were very chopped with tons of small pieces instead of long or normal style fries. The fresh steak fry taste with that bit of skin and crunch made it worth it. Nice new place I’m happy I stumbled upon.

Stop by today for a couple of hot dogs and an order of rip tips. My order took 30 minutes! I’m really sorry Demon Dawgs, this is unacceptable. The«we’re slam right now» line just doesn’t cut it. If you’re too incompetent to realize that it’s taking a long time to push orders out then maybe you should not be in the food business. To the young man that offered my daughter an ice cream while we waited. Thank you! However, had you paid attention you would have noticed she already had a milkshake, which was almost gone! At least you offered me something, the only thing the owner offered me was a bag to take my leftovers home.

13 minutes for a Luke warm hot dog, oily fries, garbage ! bad service, after 6 cusomers who came in after me(and left with food) the girl looks at me standing there like a goof and says, «what did you order» 1st and last time PERIODENDOFSTORY, not worth a try or more of a review…

I went there this afternoon because I was craving some good food. Went in to get the famous rib tips and they had just sold out. Since I was there I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Got my food home and opened it up and the burger was burnt to a crisp. My other burger was chopped up like chili meat. I will never ever return to this restaurant again. I was highly upset considering I waiting about 30 minutes for this burnt inedible mess! Highly disappointing!

I came here on a week night for dinner with the bf. The food didn’t really blow me away(I had a hot dog and fries) but he really enjoyed his. The guy working the counter was really personable and friendly. I liked that they had checkers at all the tables, even though I lost miserably. :(

I like this place because it has a drive thru and the service is outstanding. I go once every blue moon but I am pleased with the price and food. I wish their burgers were a bit bigger but I guess that’s their thing. I did NOT like the ribs even though they claim to be the best. Everything else is great!

Well, that’s it for me and the onion rings, for which they would be getting one star. I like this place, glad it reopened, like the building, support local businesses. Now that they charbroil burgers(they didn’t at first, only dogs/brats; not sure why) they do a pretty good burger and good brat. The wings are good too, if small for the price. But I loved the rings when they first opened. They would run out because they’re hand made, and they were good, so I tried and missed a few times, but the last couple times, they’ve had them. Sadly, they weren’t good last time; too big, too bready, too falling apart. But I thought it was just that batch, so tried again today. Nope! That’s how they are. They are cut huge, like an inch wide, and you get like 6 of them. And I don’t know if they’re not dipping them properly(egg or milk, then flour, then egg, then breading), or not great batter, or not fried right, or what, but they are a mess. You get MAYBE one bite before the while globby thing falls apart. The breading just comes off in huge greasy chunks. And it’s not really cooked through; it’s still battery in the middle. So I ended up eating mostly just slimy onion with a pile of breading chunks left over. Yuck. Back to the drawing board, guys. Guess I’ll hey fries instead until then. Much sad.

I live like 2 blocks from Demon Dawgs so I keep giving them chances bc I like to walk up there for dinner. Well, every time I go, it’s worse. The food is sub par and the prices way too high. Today my food took 20 minutes and I still had to wait 10 more minutes because no-one made my shakes. And after the way the owner treated me, I’ll be crossing the street to Nicky’s from now on. Edited review because we just finished our meal. Got no mozzarella sauce with our cheese sticks and they’re way too dry and salty to eat without. Our sandwiches were extremely greasy and shockingly after waiting 10 minutes for my shakes, the fries were cold.

An update. They went back to the old way of wrapping the fries along with the hot dogs! Now get some poppy seed buns, the only thing from the perfect dog and fries. A follow up update to the one I just posted. Seeing how they did improve the wrapping of the dog and fries, tried a second visit. The place seemed to take the dive again. First of all, it took forever to get my food delivered to the table and there was no one in front of me. I asked to omit one topping on the hot dogs, in matter of fact, I repeated it twice to the order taker. Once the food made it to the table, it was loaded with the topping I did not want. Plus the hot dogs seemed to be a little on the luke warm side, which I can’t stand. As I was sitting there, another customer took her order back to the counter because of something being wrong. Batting a thousand!

Food is great, prices are good, the coney sauce on the coney dog is the best around and fries are fresh cut not frozen. Make sure to order a shake also!

This will be the final review on this sorry joint as I’m now finally done giving them a chance. The ONLY reason Ive kept periodically coming back is its on the way home from work and I like reading unique items on a food marque other than the regular blah, McDs and BK stuff. Last month I stopped and tried their«HOMEMADE» tacos for a $ 1. The corn tortilla was STOREBOUGHT… the meat was some ground beef with bits of green pepper… kinda greasy… Theres a place closer to my house that says HOMEMADE tacos and the tortillas are in fact HOMEMADE. A few days ago I seen«Tamale Boat» on the sign… I go thru the drive thru, order and luckily didn’t drive away instead choosing to eat in my car in the lot. I opened up a styrofoam container… remember, its a Tamale Boat… so deep container is needed to hold the chili, onions and cheese… otherwise its just a tamale wrapped in some foil… anyway, I open it up and its nothing but a naked tamale all by itself looking homeless wondering where his friends, Chili, Onions and the arrogant neighbor, Mr Cheese were… I’m blinking and staring in amazement not believing YETAGAIN… this place has managed to be subpar on some level. I go in, show the guy and at first he wants to debate me what a chili boat is… I told him to get his smartphone out and look it up… he then admits he made a mistake… I don’t know why as there were only 2 people in there… and being busy couldn’t be the reason. He asks if I want a refund… I said, Id rather have the TB… he corrects the order… I go back to my car to eat… the chili was lukewarm, shredded cheese ice cold and onions on their last legs… Avoid this place like the plague unless there are no other options left.

Stopped at Demon Dawgs as a spur of the moment thing as we were a car full of 6 people and we’re hungry. They did NOT disappoint! Their Coney Dog is to Die and their fries were so delicious and fresh! Noone had any food left and my oldest ate everyone’s food who got full! 2 thumbs all the way up!

This place was formally the Frosted Mug for many years until it closed and sat vacant for several years. It has since been remodeled but has kept some of the old charm of a 50’s drive in on the outside. I see mixed rerviews here below. I can understand why. I see most of the complaints are about the fries. Some say they were perfect crisp othes say burnt or otherwise. I tried this place last week and I enjoyed it. My fries were decent but not great. They were a bit soft but not soggy. So maybe consitancy is an issue here at least on the fries. The Chicago Style dogs I had were really good. Done just how they should be and came with fries. There is plenty of drive in variety on this menu. I will stop in again and try smething else.

Went to the one on Pulaski ordered the hotdog special. Got 1 coney dog and one Chicago dog fries and a drink for 6 bucks. Food was fresh and the wait wasn’t bad. Good food, friendly service! I’ll go again.
