I brought my car to a local chain repair shop when it was running poorly. They told me that I would need some major parts replaced, and that I was looking at anywhere between $ 1800 and $ 2500 in repairs. I then decided to do what I should have done in the first place: drive the car from Plainfield to Alsip to have Jim Jordan from La Crosse Auto Werks take a look at it. He told me that he thought it might just be a valve timing problem that could be fixed fairly easily and inexpensively, and he turned out to be right. I wound up only spending about $ 250 for parts and labor. I appreciate that Mr. Jordan doesn’t try to scam people out of money, which in my experience is pretty tough to come by with automotive repairs. He is also very friendly, and takes his work seriously. I will not bring my vehicles anywhere else!
