Best tasting BBQ sauce in the world. Their pulled pork sandwich is also the best in the world. Peach cobbler, fries, ribs, okra, and potato salad is great too.

I really that we could do a ½ star. We were seriously disappointed. 25 minutes waiting on a pulled pork and pulled brisket sandwiches both were not what I would call«warm». Even if we were waiting on the fries… still should have been 10 – 15 minutes at the most. When the girl did finally bring it to our table, no apology or acknowledgment of the delay at all. I would have said something to the manager/owner had he bothered to show his face except to go take an order and collect money. We won’t be going back and I don’t recommend anyone go either… ever!

We dinned at 7:30 on a Sat night — and there were approx only 8 customers in the entire restaurant. And there was a reason for this — the food was very bad. Everything included a lot of grease and the French fries arrived at room temp. Literally some of the worst BBQ I’ve ever had in Orlando.

I do not understand why so many folks on here didn’t give this establishment better reviews! The baked beans were great, and you could tell they were homemade and not from a can. the mac and cheese was good, not the baked kind like I make at home, but still good! The potato salad was great, and OMG, the pulled pork and brisket were to DIEFOR! I love how they put it on the bread, like an open faced sandwich, even though we could have gotten it on the side, or gotten corn muffins. The young man at the cash register was very nice, even letting me taste samples before we ordered. I was impressed. They have wonderful iced tea as well. Not as good as Four Rivers, but still a place we will go to again, and look forward to it!!!

I’ve been there twice, and this time was prompted to write a review for two reasons. One, I enjoyed the food. Two, I hope«Art» hears me before it’s too late. The food is great quality and taste. The ribs are moist, tender, a touch greasy, but great. So is the pulled pork, French fries, and fried okra. The sauce is tasty. I called in for takeout and went to restaurant at 500PM on a Saturday night. There was one couple in the restaurant and no other takeouters. This is a great location and I think if they made you feel more welcome and greeted you on the phone and in person as if they were glad you were there, they’d have more business. I think they have good food, just need to give people a reason to go here instead of another BBQ.

We went to Art’s bbq last Saturday. I thought the food was some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. We got ribs, pulled pork and briskit. All three were amazing, and the sauce was great. I’m not usually a fan of mac n cheese but my boyfriend got it and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The only thing I didn’t love were the baked beans, a little under cooked but everything else was awesome. Yes, the it took us awhile to get our food but it was so worth it! I will definitely be coming back.

Very disappointing is an understatement! Heard it was good so I was excited to try it out. I ordered the over priced sausage. It was kielbasa. Not normal sausage from bbq restaurant. Soaked in sauce. Sauce was bad. Served on un toasted, plain wonder bread. Baked beans were nasty too. Mac and cheese, which I’ve never not liked anywhere, was even nasty. Oh yeah, the lady working the cash register(the owner) was very rude, too. On a positive note, my wife had the pulled pork sandwich, which was good. Everything else was pretty nasty though…

Seems they stepped it up a bit! The ribs I just had here are really good. Tender, falling-off-the-bone, nice sauce. Baked beans(Daddy’s Best BBQ Beans) were delish, too. Reeealy tender smoked BBQHOT wings good potato salad to soothe the burn.

Food was bad. Had a bar-b-q sandwich. Bland. Sauce was terrible. Had heartburn all day. Won’t be back.

I can sum up the Art’s BBQ experience in on word: SLOW!!! I do not think that I have ever waited so long for BBQ in my life. Isn’t BBQ a food that they already have slow cooked and prepared before you get there? I would think that all they really need to do to fill our orders was to plate it up and add the sides, but I have no idea how that took them 45 minuets. Yes from ordering our food to it arriving at the table, it took a total of 45 minuets! After we got the food, it was all very tasty. I had the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich with fried okra and though delicious, it wasn’t worth the wait!

As always, when I review a BBQ joint I find it imperative to educate the reader on my credentials. If there’s any fat content in my body(and there is plenty, believe me) it comes from straight up BBQ consumption. I am a connoisseur and a fan foremost. As BBQ styles are many, and there’s a lot of ways one can skin a pig, flexibility is important when reviewing these joints. Art’s was good, St Louis ribs were good, fall off the bone, good sauce, and the pork was well prepared and had consistency, didn’t feel overcooked, or too«pulled» which is a big BBQ downfall. I like to add my own sauce, and this joint sauces everything for you — so you better like their sauce, cause there are no options, which to some may be a turnoff. Fortunately their sauce was good, but for those who may not like it — sorry, that’s all you get. One big issue with this joint, and what promped me to write this review so soon, was the ventilation. It may have been because of the time I arrived, and they may have been«prepping» some items — I was there at 1145am. But the frying smell was brutal. You expect smoke, or BBQ/grill smell, but the smell i got all over my clothes, car, sweater is pure straight up deep frying smell… I was forced to change clothes and shower. I kid you not, and again, this could just be bad luck from the time I chose — but still, the ventilation(or lack there of) was bad. I absolutely HATE having a tasty meal and reeking like I have a fry daddy up my ______. Good joint tho, tasty menu.

Went last night to this little momma and pop place– and let me tell you, I was impressed. I am one of the pickiest eaters, and I really enjoyed it. I have had Bubbalous Bodacious BBQ, but this tops it. There was us and one other group in the place. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was great– playing the blues… I got the BBQ pulled chicken breast, fried okra, macaroni and cheese and a side of fries. With some sweet tea… I usually don’t drink sweet tea out– but this place has the whole package… The only down was that there was a little too much BBQ sauce on the chicken… But hey, if that was all that there was, this place was a 9 out of 10… WILLBEBACK!

Located in good ol’ Uptown Altamonte, Art’s BBQ is definitely the new kid on the block. Now please let me preface my review by saying that we arrived 10 minutes prior to closing time. And yes we were those guys. Hey when you’re hungry, you will do crazy things. The lady working was not thrilled to see us at all. But I look at it this way, I am putting money into your registers. At the very least give me the most fake smile you have to offer. My friend and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Let me tell you it was pretty dang delicious. Usually when you go to places and order a pulled pork sandwich they give you finely sliced pork. They don’t play that at Art’s. The pulled pork was very chunky and divine. The flavor of the bbq sauce used on the sandwich certainly complimented the pork. The collard greens weren’t anything spectacular and neither were the beans. WeatherMan Predicts: Ya need to get your bottom there early and not 10 minutes before closing time. 80% chance of getting the«itis» after devouring their pulled pork sandwich. I know I did! Guess it is better than mud butt! Ha-ha. I have said too much!

Don’t bother. The good: The slaw, the fried okra, the fries, the greens The bad: Almost non-existent service, when it did exist, there was no personality. I’m not sure if she even spoke. The ribs were unedible. I would have rather had a McRib(not that I eat those). The ribs seemed they were baked and then slathered in sauce. Even my 7 year old didn’t like hers. We had to ask for BBQ sauce. What kind of BBQ restaurant doesn’t have sauce everywhere? The Mac and Cheese was more slimy than Kraft. If you want decent BBQ, head a couple miles to 4Rivers or Bubbalous.

This is a casual southern soul-cookin’-style bbq restaurant that is family-owned and run by a husband a wife who just moved into the area early 2010. It is remarkably clean, from the floors to the tables to the restaurant. You can see the pride of ownership. The décor features various African-American jazz, blues, and pop icons. My girlfriend and I had the baby back ribs, pulled pork sandwich, fried okra, potato salad, baked beans and iced tea. * The pulled pork was the stand-out and the best I have ever had. You won’t find anything like it at a chain like Woody’s, Smokey Bones or Sonny’s. * The ribs were ok — I prefer ribs that are boiled first and fall-off-the-bone tender with plenty of fat. These were well flavored(the sauce is very good), but I’m unsure how fresh they were. I arrived at 4:30pm when the place was in between lunch and dinner preparations. * The fried okra was excellent with a really good salty batter that would incidentally be perfect for fried pickles and onion rings(doubt those are soul food though). * The potato salad was good. I’m not a huge fan of potato salad to refrain from commenting here. * The baked beans were spicy with diced peppers and tasted homemade — definately made with actual beans, not from a tin can. I’ll definately be back as it fills a nice niche in the Cranes Roost area of Altamonte Springs and distinguishes itself with a southern soul twist. If you’re going to try anything, try the pulled pork. Update 11÷9÷10: I had to lower my score to 2⁄5 stars after my most recent visit to the establishment. This time I tried the fried catfish and it was completely underwhelming. I should have known something was wrong when the owner told me she didn’t have any tartar sauce. «Still want it?» she asked. It came out as a single piece of fried fish, maybe from a box, unceremoniously dumped on a plate by two slices of white bread. We’re talking Wonderbread, folks. No tomato, no lettuce, nothing else. Wow. I also noticed that the service is very unfriendly. I thought the previous visit was simply a case of the end of a shift, but no, these people don’t know how to treat a customer. Sorry, last time I’m eating here!

I happened upon Art’s today for lunch. It is in the Crane’s Roost section of Altamonte Springs, in a nice strip mall. Art’s has a great atmosphere and décor. Super awesome blues music playing through the place. The food was good. I tried the pulled chicken platter, too much food for lunch. So I will just do the sandwich next time! The coleslaw was good, but the beans were so-so. The BBQ had a nice kick to it. It wasn’t cheap, $ 10 for lunch. A nice addition to this area!

Art’s provides tasty Tennessee style barbeque with some amazing sides. The only thing that keeps this from being a weekly stop is the price, which is $ 2 more than I want to pay for barbecue.
