Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park

Absolutely love this place! Super cool variety of exotic animals. Very clean and well designed park. I love how easy it is to see all the animals in a fairly short period of time and easy to navigate with a stroller. All the staff is very friendly. Great place to take small children and super fun for adults too!

This is an amazing zoo like place. It is perfectly organized and maintained. You will get closer to animals than you can anywhere else. The staff is very nice and helpful. The cost is well worth the visit. You can easily stay half a day. It has several picnic areas if you bring lunch. Highly recommend for the family. Amazing.

I took my first trip here today with my wife and two daughters. The owners of this facility should be incredibly proud of what they have created. A great mix of interactive and informative, self exploring and guided tours, bottom line an all around great experience.
No facility like this can be successful without an amazing staff, it is evident that the staff understands the experience they are giving their patrons and works hard to make sure a great time is had by all. I have 2 examples:
1. Rather than passively waiting for people to attend their «safari ride» the staff actively made sure you were aware of the ride so you could participate. Keep in mind this is included in the price of admission, they were not looking to sell to you.
2. I personally noticed a young female employee display a great deal of professionalism. She did a very nice job as our safari ride driver, after which I noticed her pick up a small piece of trash that was in a mulch bed. I can’t tell you how many times I see somebody choose to overlook these little things. With employees like this, a great sustainable experience is possible.
If you have not had the opportunity to discover Boulder Ridge, I would highly recommend it. A great time for all ages.

I’m going to go ahead and give this place a big thumbs up! This place isn’t your typical zoo. It’s not as big as most zoos but it’s worth it! Not too expensive either. 10 for adults and 8 for children.
They have extremely unique animals here! You also get so close with the animals. The kids loved going in the bird cage and feeding them. The birds would land on their head. Pretty neat!
My absolute favorite part was the safari ride. They take you on a ride and show you some sweet South African animals! Pretty amazing! Very educational too. They gave fun facts about each animal as we drove by the animals.
This place needs to get more credit than it’s getting; you won’t see animals like this in most zoos. I saw ostrich eggs! So cool!!!

This was a great place to visit. I saw a big safety issue though. Anyone gets in their buses and drives them around the zoo. First of all they have no training on driving a full size school bus, and then air brakes, we won’t even go there, and then the person that we had didn’t wear her seat belt, one wrong move and that driver could be out of her seat. Having driven school bus for over 37 years and taught bus drivers’ ed for over 15 years, the only comment that I heard from the lady is «it is on private property and ok by the insurance», my reply, «fine and dandy, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT. Have someone come in and train your drivers». Besides the bus issue, it is a beautiful place, very clean, and well worth the price of admission. They need to advertise more.

We had so much fun here! The kids absolutely loved feeding the animals!
I like to take pictures & a lot of the animals were in cages that made it difficult to get good pics which was kind of a bummer for me.
They have a wagon that they take around so you can see the bigger animals — I had thought we would get to walk around to see the bigger animals but we just kind of drive by them quickly. It was kind of hard to get a good look at some of them.
Probably not somewhere I will go as often as I go to the zoo but it was worth the trip!

This animal park is smaller than a regular zoo but it sports a collection of animals that you won’t find in a regular zoo. Wildebeest, water buffalo, zebras, and many more. It took us about 2 hours to get through the park with toddlers in tow, but older kids will probably want to stay a bit longer.
