I took my car in for service under warranty. I explained that I had a rough rattling noise when starting the car, and believed there was a faulty motor mount as the cause. They looked at the car for about an hour, told me they checked the motor mounts and found no issue, and that the rattling noise was«normal». I took the car to another shop and what do you know… it had a bad motor mount. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from Fenton, as they won’t actually honor the warranty when the time comes. Update: I was later contacted by Fenton Mazda. They apologized for the mis-diagnosis of the original problem and offered to reimburse me in full for the repair that was done. I was satisfied that they took the initiative to make the situation right.

I am writing this review for the Pampa location. I have bought two vehicles from them, amounting to $ 95,000 in cost between the two. You would think that someone that decides to spend that kind of money with you, you’d want to take care of them. Fenton Motors of Pampa did not get the memo. I go to take my first vehicle in for service and I see my salesman. Not even a «hello» from him. On my second vehicle, I was in a rush and needed to get it serviced before a 2500 mile roadtrip. I call Fenton and ask if I can bring it in «right now,» and I’m told, sure, bring it in. I show up and get ready to drop off the vehicle when the service guy asks me if I have an appointment. I say no, but I just called and was told I can bring it in right now and you will get to it. The guy says«I don’t know who you talked to, but you are going to need an appointment and we don’t have any available today.» Needless to say, I don’t get my vehicle serviced there. So I drive out the parking lot and I take it to Gene Messer Ford in Amarillo. And what do you know? They see how urgent it is that I get it in and work me into their schedule. What’s even better? Since it was my first time there, they gave me an oil change for FREE! I am now taking my vehicles there to get them serviced, even if it is an hour out of my way. My inclination had been to buy my next vehicle from Gene Messer(I get one every 2 to 3 years), but what they did this past weekend just sealed the deal for me. They sent me a personal invitation to their tailgate at Texas Tech! Now, that’s what I’m talking about! Personal service and attention to detail! I want to deal with someone who treats you as an individual and will go out of their way to make you happy. Fenton Motor does not do that, but Gene Messer does.
