I recently was a host of a baby shower at The Renaissance Apartment Clubhouse. All the hostesses of the shower agreed it would be a large space for a nice celebration. I am THOROUGHLY disappointed for several reasons: 1. We had to pay a $ 350 deposit, which doesn’t include the $ 50 we paid for the clubhouse for the day. One of the girl’s lives in the complex, and we still had to pay that amount. In my opinion, that is way too much. 2. The place was dirty. We had to clean up before we could start setting up for the shower. 3. There are two golf carts for the apartment complex. They were parked in the clubhouse, which we had to drive out the front doors on the day of the shower. 4. The day after the shower, the manager of the property called to say the place was«trashed» after our party, and said we didn’t clean up our mess. She also said we were«caught» for grilling. The place was not trashed. We had four hostesses, and four other women cleaning up. We took out every bag of trash, wiped down the counters, swept the floor, and put everything back in its place. Left the place cleaner than it was left to us. We did not grill. It was a baby shower. We had horderves and punch. The manager said she could not hold us liable because there was another party in the clubhouse the same weekend. Coming all the way from California, I was not expecting such rude service and accusations. Doesn’t sound like a great complex to live either.
