Unilocal got my hopes up with the four stars, but I should have stay grounded in the reality that I’m passing through Amarillo, so good Mexican food is not going to happen. This place is like taco cabana but double the price and half the quality and flavor. I got chicken fajita nachos which were $ 6 and were pretty bad. Poor quality chicken, SAMs club yellow cheese product with what were likely canned beans and a few jalapeños on top. My son loves rice so that’s what we get and even that was pretty disappointing. On the plus side the décor and atmosphere are really nice and authentic feeling. Oh and the tortillas were good.

Having grown up eating Rosa’s, all I can say is that for true Tex-Mex, this is your place. I will always go with the #14 Chicken, you can’t beat the queso and the meat is always the best!

Got a family of five, we came to Rosas around 730 pm. It was quite busy but they still had our food ready in under ten min. They have a clean restaurant, serve beer, have tables outside, have an entire bar of condiments all in addition to delicious reasonably priced mexican food. A++ TACOTUESDAYISTHEBEST!

Fantastic service and so friendly! This was our first visit here, we were just passing through and they made us feel so very welcome! I highly recommend stopping by here! The guacamole tostada was fantastic as was the chili verde! This place is awesome! Try it out for yourself!

The tortillas are a must try! Except I expected the food to be more authentic but was more of a sit down restaurant, which was okay. It was a fast food like restaurant where you placed your order first and sit anywhere. The food was fine, but not as good as the reviews said and not better than the other small Mexican places I’ve been to. I got the #2 soft taco dinner, and the tacos came with only meat, veggies and shredded cheese(reminds me of Taco Bell). Had to go get the onions and cilantro and sauces at the bar. The tortillas are however one of the best tortillas I’ve ever had. It tends to be on the thick side but is very soft yet chewy. They come with your order!

I planned a lunch catering for 30 and it was delivered perfectly! The food was hot and fresh and the taco bar was a great success! Laurel is the catering manager and provided service that was flawless and friendly. This is a great option when feeding a group. Both corn & flour tortillas, ground beef & chicken, rice, beans, chips & salsa and topped off with cake & drinks. Easy for me, great lunch for my customers. It came it at less than $ 10 per person — value for my budget.

Fast food type of establishment. OK but nothing to write home about. The salsa bar is the best part, you can get as much salsa or Pico as you want.

I generally love Rosa’s. There are better Mexican restaurants that are more expensive. Among the counter-service, quick-serve locations, Rosa’s wins. I particularly like the salsa bar with plenty of pico del gallo. Theirs has no lemon or lime so I can eat it!

Great place for the price… Ever time we eat here we constantly get served good quality Mexican food. Portions size does drift form time to time. Form packed to the brim to… I think someone ate half my rice! Great place for the whole family.

Excellent, fresh Mexican food, fast(does not taste fast) at great prices. I highly recommend this place. Right off I-40 and Western.

Yuck! We ordered the chicken fajitas, chicken was dry, barely any peppers and onions plus they were soggy and gross, the rice and beans were too salty. The chips tasted nasty, the only star is for the homemade tortillas, glad we are passing thru!

Do not be fooled. This is not an «authentic mexican restaurant.» It’s not even faux tex mex. It is, purely and simply, fast food with a nice sign and lots of tables and chairs. It is between a Taco Bueno and a Pancho’s. That being said, the food was edible and if I were in a pinch, this place would do. The tortillas were good as were the sopapillas. Slightly upturned face.

We stopped in here late on saturday night, about 40 minutes before closing. We had just finished working a tattoo convention so we were starving from not having a real meal all day. The staff was super friendly even though we came in late and were patient as we figured out the menu. we ordered our food at the counter and then got ourselves drinks and waited at a booth for our food. When our food was ready they flashed our number on screens throughout the restaurant and we went to the pick up counter to grab it. Our meals came with the tortillas, which were AMAZING! So yummy we had to pack some up to take back to the hotel for later. Both of us got the meal plates and maybe got through half of them. Lots of leftovers to eat later. We’ll definitely stop by when we’re in town next year.

Love the tortillas & queso!(You can see them making the fresh tortillas.) The sopapillas are good, too. Rosa’s is like a cleaner, classier Taco Cabana, and just as inexpensive. You can drive-thru or go in and order, and it’s not like going into a fast food joint to eat, either. It’s a cute little restaurant. Now that I’ve moved away, I miss this place.

«Drive-thru» food shouldn’t be this good! I didn’t actually go through the drive-through, because there were cars backed up into the road. I took that as a good sign. Ordering was easy. I got a chicken enchilada plate with an extra tamale.(Personal side note: I *hate* calling one tamale a «tamale.» The singular of «tamales» is «tamal.») The person behind the counter was chatty and friendly. And the service was ridiculously speedy! It was waiting on me by the time I got there. If there’s genuine quality Tex-Mex fast food, this is it. I got the food to go, and when I finally got to eat it, I was pleased. The enchiladas weren’t terribly bland, as is common. The beans and rice — my benchmark for any restaurant of this type — were absolutely OUTSTANDING. Win! I am so full from the original plate, I haven’t even had a chance to try the tamal, but I have high hopes :-)

This was based on a recommendation and we were pleasantly surprised. The Giant loves his Tex Mex and we ventured in here to find the kind of kitchy décor expected in tourist Tex-mex, and a walk up counter vs table service. The menu is numbered and I didn’t get the sense you could substitute. That said, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the self serve salsa bar had tons of fresh veggie options such as whole fresh jalapenos, chopped onions and cilantro, and 4 zest levels of salsa. All in all, a tremendous value, given the quality, and quantity, of the food. Check it out!

Rosa’s is as close to Mexican food as you can get in Amarillo, unless you eat in someones home. Much better than some of the so– called Mexican food places that cost much more. The food is cooked by people who know what they are doing and it IS cooked, not frozen nor reconstituted! The staff/servers are friendly and helpful. We go there regularly! They have a very good chocolate cake as well as a carrot cake-large portions, we have to share.

Nice Mexican style restaurant that mixed the convenience of fast food with almost a regular sit down. With the salsa bar it was more like an upgraded Pollo Loco — real upgraded. The food was excellent. I had soft tacos. We had tortilla chips. I’d go back.
