Pros: Cool place. Cool feel. Lots of staff. Liked my haircut and didn’t have to take much time to explain. Fred I think cut it. Good prices. Cons: Walked and was ignored by almost everybody, before I took initiative and talked to the desk person – I EVENBOOKEDTHATMORNING! No website, important because I still don’t know business hours.

Really great place. Super clean, lively place with a large TV in the center that was playing NBA when I was there. James gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had — super precise, lots of attention to detail. These guys are artists! Really reasonable pricing and extremely good value for money. Strongly recommended!

Found this place on Unilocal, and called to make an appointment. Came in to get my beard trimmed into a chinstrap. Michael did an awesome job, it was perfect, all lined up and it was quick. Used a razor like I told him and he knew exactly what I wanted. It wan inexpensive and will return again.

Lucky to have found a great shop nearby. My son and I got all good cuts from either John, Jesse, Cody, Mike, Steve. I would trust any barber here though. Good environment, friendly, chill, huge TV while getting cut or waiting.

This is one of the worst barbershops I’ve ever been to. They have a nice clean attractive establishment however, they absolutely zero skill and zero professionalism. I cant tell u how many times I’ve made appointments only to have Cloyd call/text me last minute to postpone my appointment that had been made days ago. To top it off he tried to charge me full price. Get TF outta here. I tried to give them another chance by going to a different guy(Cody) and messed my haircut up horribly, after i gave him very specific details and directions on what i wanted. Not to mentio neither barber apologized for the mishap. Most of the guys in there are Filipino i hope they didn’t treat me the way they did bkuz I don’t look Filipino. Either way these guys need some serious polishing.

Excellent barbershop!!! My first time getting my hair cut at a barbershop in years and J n J’s was recommended to me. Called and made an appointment with Mike and he far exceeded my expectations, definitely making this my spot when I need a trim. Thanks Mike.

I bring my son to get his hair done by Cody and I have to say I am truly impressed by his work. My son has a difficult growth pattern. Not only is he skilled at using clippers but also with scissor cutting. Most barbers don’t quite have that skill as scissor cutting is a completely different skill set. I work in a salon as a color specialist and work side by side with specialized stylists as well and what they may sometimes lack is using clippers. Before I would take my son to a barber to get his fade than to my salon for the top and now I am able to send him to one person. Cody seems to have a natural ability to understand growth patterns and the shape of a head. Truly talented!

I just realized I left a glowing review 2 years ago. That was written after have being with them for 5 – 6 years. Here’s an update. I knew nothing about the founders, John and Jesse, until I walked into their barbershop during a time when Unilocal was just a year old and American Canyon had two decent barbershops and one franchise shop that mostly took advantage of its location. Prior to J&J, I would head to Daly City to get the proper cut I wanted. I was probably one of their first customers as they literally took their time and did everything to standard. They did everything to get customers back. They doubled as a Sweet Factory when they started as they littered their wall with stacks of candy and refrigerated drinks. Then, they meticulously added a third«J» who was reflective of their service and quality. I never had my hair cut with Jordan but every time I’m there, I can see how much his clients respect him. 8 years later, they are still consistent. Minus the grocery aisles of candy, their consistency has now led to full booked appointments — so your best chances to get a cut on a whim would be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Maybe. They’ve had to bring in new guys but it’s clear they’re very selective in bringing in new barbers. It’s true that it’s hard to get an appointment. That’s only because they still take the same amount of time and care into each cut since the first day they opened their doors. This is especially true if you’re trying to get an appointment with the original three barbers. It’s a Filipino-owned barbershop which some mistaken it to cater towards their own kind. But, if you have been with these guys as long as I have, their regulars are comprised of some of the most diverse customers you’ll see which is a rare feat in a barbershop. I can still remember the initial unease some of their first clients had when they first walked in during all my visits there but now they’re regulars. J&J and the rest of the team are simply hospitable, respectful and, ultimately, they just do a really good job.

Hey, this review is for J n J’s Barber Shop! Let me start off by saying, if you’re looking to get your haircut in the American Canyon or Vallejo Area this is the place you been looking for to get that taper, tight fade or just need a new look! Let’s start off by recommending a couple barbers out of many, 1st Jesse, 2nd John, 3rd Jordan. I Recommend these 3 barbers, the whole shop has high quality barbers so feel free to come in or make an appointment! The last thing i want to say is, the whole reason why i made a Unilocal account is to make a review for J n J’s Barber Shop! This will hopefully tell you how good these guys are, you won’t be disappointed only satisfied with your haircut guaranteed! *** This review is for Steve ** Call 707−641−3738 for appts **** — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - I stopped a stranger in Target to ask him who his barber was. I’ve been living here in California for almost two months. In that time, I’ve gotten three haircuts. Each haircut has been worse than the last. If you know anything about being a human, it’s that we’re some self absorbed creatures. Specifically, we are obsessed with our appearance. A bad hair day can ruin your disposition, but a horrible haircut can fuck up your life. I spotted the guy walking around Target like he was lost. The very first thing that came to my mind was, «Holy shit! His barber must be an artist.» Without giving it a second thought, I abandoned my shopping cart, and made my way towards him. When I got closer, I turned around and aborted the mission. «Are you really gonna fucking ask him that?» I asked myself. Sulking all the way back to my cart, miserable with the realization that this trial and error of barbers would continue til eternity, I looked over at the fedoras that I’d have to wear to hide my scalp. Almost like a miracle, he got his bearings and started walking towards me. «Fuck it! Go for it,» my inner voice commanded. I stopped him, asked him the awkward question while maintaining intense eye contact. He just so happened to have a business card on him. Steve is an artist. He did to my hair what 3 others tried and failed at. He asked me what I wanted, took his time, and gave me the cut I was looking for. He’s been doing his thing since 14, and he just graduated from Barber School. I’m happy I finally found a barber. Check him out if you need a fresh cut.

**My Barber was Jair** I’ve seen reviews of this place that it was dirty or something with unfriendly staff. I never saw that. The people helped me immediately. I got a great haircut. The guy asked all sorts of questions on what I wanted. Greatest part. It didn’t cost me a small fortune. When moneys tight, this can make or break. I love my new haircut and I feel even more ready for my interviews and work. Jair was my barber and helped me with what I wanted as I really didn’t know. He talked with me the entire cut yet didn’t make me feel like I had to respond. It was a really laid back atmosphere with everyone good friends. It made me feel welcome and like just one of the guys. Not only that I got advice on things and he helped point me in the direction of a good place in the area to move into. Overall, this is one of the best places if not the best place to go for a guy to get a cut. I’ve been to salons or cheap trims but nothing compares to this place. I will bring my son here and recommend it to guys in the area. This was an amazing experience that made me feel awesome and that my money was well spent.

First of all– My boys are 13 and 8, and the coolest kids on the block. Of course, they would settle for nothing less than THEE perfect cut and line-up, right??? JORDAN is their barber and he is a phenom. He’s quick, young and hip and I love the way he treats my 13 year old, in particular, like a young man. He pays attention to what the boys ask for and I can see him conversing and laughing with them during the cutting process. It certainly sheds a little joy on the otherwise gloomy experience of a woman sitting in a barbershop. Just sayin’. And, make no judgments about the Fil-Am atmosphere– my sons are mostly black, with wavy/curly, non-Filipino-ish hair, and they request«dark fades & a line up» and«low and even,» and the cuts/lines are pristine. I’ve been to many-a-barbershop, and unfortunately my kids have gotten sucky cuts from non-black barbers over the years. I think JnJ Barbers can rival any«black» barber you go to, so don’t sleep on them. Aside from that, the shop is clean and kid-friendly. No «F» bombs every other word or loud ridiculousness. Plus, the customers generally don’t mind if my toddler aged daughter randomly touches their knee or takes their keys, for no apparent reason. The cost for a kid’s cut is $ 13– good! The wait is long, so make an appointment! And… I apologize in advance if my daughter steps on your toe before she runs out of the door with your keys…
