This Irving is generally the cheapest fuel stop in the area. The competition is two Sunoco’s within a mile, and Mobil. Up in Seabrook, fuel stops are generally $.10 more expensive. Down in Newburyport, plan to spend $.15 to $.20 more. This Irving is easy to find, immediately off I495 Northbound, the last exit before the I495/95 merge. It’s on the eastbound side of Route 110. On site are 12 pump stations with plenty of space between vehicles. There is onsite air for tires, as well as a fully stocked convenience store. This stop sells no diesel. The unfortunate part of where this facility is located is that there is no entry point on the 110 westbound side. If traveling west on 110, you’ll need to drive past the station and turn around in about a ¼ mile. However, if you continue traveling westbound and choose not to turn, there is another Irving station about 1-mile into Amesbury that is also affordable. Overall, this station generally has clean fuel. I haven’t run into a problem with a tank of fuel here yet, like I would with Mobil. There are 3 grades — 87, 89, and 93. Irving also has a points program where after 50 gallons of fuel, you get 20 gallons free. Not a bad deal.
