Planet Fitness – Amesbury

Nice gym. The staff seemed helpful and made me feel comfortable. The ladies locker room area was nice and clean. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because the tanning beds aren’t very good. Im white and did the full time my first day and didn’t even sweat, but it’s not too big of a problem. I like this gym because it’s small and had everything I need. Will be going back for sure!

Whoa! Major upgrade. This PF redid the bathrooms and installed… Showers!
They also took a chunk of space from the preschool to expand the weights area. New weight machines, better organization and more space all equate a better PF.
The treadmills are all still ancient.

I’ve been going here for a while now and it’s a good gym. very affordable. I think it’s so cheap because they don’t offer classes, but if you’re just looking for cardio & weight machines this is your place. I signed up online for the black card, which was very easy & convenient. The next day I went in got my card and free tshirt and was good to go. The staff is very friendly but not intrusive, they let you do your own thing but are there if you need anything. The people there are of all different shapes and ages, it’s a good mix. My only complaints would be it isn’t 24 hours — I wish it was! and the tanning beds aren’t the greatest/​strongest, I would always recommend cleaning them before you get in. because you never know if the person before you did or not. but for what you pay they do the job.
One thing that I think is really great is that if you sign up for the black card, which is $ 20 a month, you can bring one guest per day for free, so the bf comes everyday with me… no additional charge. awesome.
I would def recommend!
