Never disappointed by Athena’s. They make a great Greek style pizza, great calzones, and appetizers as well. Only complaint is the grinders can be a little dry so order accordingly l. Service is always great and delivery is super quick.

The pizza was really good. The crust had a really nice taste and the cheese was nice and ooey gooey.

Ordered the eggplant parm grinder for pickup recently. Arrived a few minutes before it was supposed to be ready – it was already done. Drove the 3 minutes home and began to eat. Uh, I think the eggplant parm part of the sandwich was still partially frozen. Or it was so cold that it must have been sitting out for a long time? Pretty gross. Frozen or been sitting out. Either is a big no-no in my book. Will rethink ordering again.

Great pizza! It’s a nice slightly thicker crust with good bite and great outer crust. The young lady on the phone was helpful and courteous. As you can tell I order a delivery and it got to my hotel fast and hot. I ordered the Special with crispy green peppers, onions, pepperoni, ground beef, and sausage, but I added Gyro meat to it and it was excellent. If you need a pizza and you are in Hadley or Amherst this place delivers a great pizza.

Really annoyed that they don’t deliver to Northampton when they’re right on the highway. At least they called about it right away, but I registered an account on some delivery site now for no reason! If I have the order from domino’s again I’m gonna be so upset. I want to boycott them for supporting Autism Speaks and Generation Rescue, both ableist hate groups.

Everyone rants and raves about how amazing the pizza is, so I figure I’ll tackle some other things on the menu! Their sandwiches are incredible! Yeah, it sounds kinda crazy to order a deli-style sandwich from an Italian restaurant(especially one known for their pizza), but sometimes you just WANT a sandwich, but you’re a) too lazy to make one for yourself, and b) Subway just ain’t cutting it. So I ordered a tuna sandwich on rye and a piece of cheesecake with a Sobe Life Water(great drink selection) for delivery. The sandwich was absolutely amazing. Kind of small, but delicious nonetheless. Fresh, very thinly shredded lettuce, bright red tomato, and a thin layer of mayo complimented the tuna salad nicely! I also enjoy their calzones. HUGE(two meals worth) and flavorful. Perfect to heat up in the oven the next day for lunch. Plus, delivery is FREE(and MUCH better than Delivery Express) and the food is always delivered before the estimated time of delivery. The«pizza guy» is always wicked nice. The online ordering system is easy to use, and if you sign up for an account on the website, you receive 10% off of your order! Would definitely recommend to students and townies alike!

Place was great and had wonderful customer service until they quietly changed owners and when asked they shy away from the question and ignore it food is still good just not the same

I’ll parrot what other reviewers have said about the pizza here; it is some of the best in Amherst. And what I love about their family sized pizzas is that they cut the pizza into squares; not large triangular pieces like every other shop in Amherst, but squares. However, I have to say that I’ve ordered other food from here, like grinders and spaghetti, and I won’t be ordering those again. They were all pretty bad, which surprised us. The grinder rolls were stale and the steak on my grinder was full of gristle. The pasta was dry. Maybe they were having an off night that evening, because I know a lot of people who get those things on a regular basis, but I’m not willing to get mediocre food again, when I can get delicious pizza every time.

The food has still been tasty, but there has been some stomach issues after eating the food lately. I don’t really know what the deal is. I think something is askew, hopefully it can be fixed asap!

For those of us who still remember watching TV and seeing men land on the moon… live, well maybe you’ll remember Bell’s Pizza. Sadly, it’s gone. But the good news is that it’s been replaced by Athena’s Pizza. Don’t ask me when they moved in. My guess it was somewhere in the last ten years. Having said that, I stopped in for a sandwich for the first time since under the new name. It was around lunch time and the place was packed with local business people, while others were coming in one after another to pick up orders. I thought for sure this was going to take 30 minutes or more since I didn’t call ahead. What’s worse, I was in line with about 5 other guys all placing orders. Then it was my turn. I ordered my «litmus» grinder, a Italian cold cut. I did cheat and tell them to use dressing or oil and vinegar which didn’t, to my relief, cause any adverse response. All the staff seemed friendly and helpful. Ny grinder was ready in less than 15 minutes, not bad considering how busy it was. It tasted fine and was toasty hot but it could have used a little something different in the meat department. Imported ham and salami alone just didn’t cut the mustard with me so I’m giving it 4 stars… for now. I’ll be back.
