So I’m an American born Japanese girl who was just looking for an Asian place for my family to eat at. Although we are staying at the Seneca Niagara Hotel, we didn’t mind traveling the 25 min out to this restaurant. It’s a cute, family-owned restaurant with reasonable prices and big helpings: D If you’re coming for Phở, I recommend the rare beef phở. The triple combo has tripe(aka intestines) and these meat balls that my family wasn’t too keen on. I got the Vermecelli noodles with lemongrass pepper beef ^^ Good Stuff. Now remember that it is family owned, so service can be slow sometimes. Just make sure you go to the counter if you need anything fast and they’ll be right there for you: D

I am a phở enthusiast and have been craving it a lot lately. My go to spots are usually in the elmwood village area but was pleasantly surprised to learn this place was closer in the suburbs! I ordered phở ga(chicken — white meat) for take out on my way home from work. The guy told me it would be ready in 5 minutes. They must expect people to fly there but I was luckily right down the street. It wasn’t the best phở I’ve ever had, but it also wasn’t the worst. I was happy with the amount of noodles and bean sprouts provided, they even gave a cute little plastic soup spoon. I will say that the broth was very salty, even more saltier than usual. But it was still delicious. I will be back to try other menu items!

Excellent Phở and Fresh Rolls(veggie). Sweetest older waitress(not as old as me). Clean little establishment. Goes on my «approved» list.

I came here for lunch several times without any complaints. Each time i ordered the house fried rice special(can’t remember the exact name of the entrée) but this particular day i became so sick within an hour after eating i had to remain bed ridden for the next 48 hours. I refuse to go back after being food poisoned.

This is a usual lunch spot for me, and they are very warm and welcoming when I come in. If I could recommend anything, their summer roll is delicious, and paired with their R3 rice dish is very filling and definitely cost effective. It’s a very consistent place.

I discovered this little place by accident a few years ago and have been returning for their Phở ever since. There is something about their broth that I like slightly better than other places in the area. I have only tried their phở and fresh rolls so it’s not fair to give them 5 stars. I have good intentions to order something different but my tummy won’t let me. I’ve always only seen one staff member up front and she is a very warm and welcoming lady, even when they are busy. I will always recommend this place! Located in the Burlington Plaza on Niagara Falls Blvd.

I went here for the first time with a friend. I didn’t see anything wrong with the place. The place had all the tables occupied and the food was good. The waiter was very nice. The reason for a missing star is because I had a coupon and they did not redeem it. I’m not sure why but but they did not get a tip because of that. It could have just been a mistake.

I know I should go out of my comfort zone and try other phở places, but there’s something so comforting about this cute little place that I can’t seem to tear myself away from it. First of all, it doesn’t seem like it even exists. With a Moe’s and Burlington Coat Factory overshadowing the small little storefronts that lie next to Moe’s, it’s a wonder you can even find it. But there it is, unsuspecting and located next to a tiny nail salon(which remains almost hidden itself). My friend brought me here when I was a sophomore and she was a junior. True story: we met by smiling at each other. From that smile, we connected, and from that connection, we ended up here every few months to catch up on our lives. For that sentimental reason alone, it’s hard to escape it. In cold or spring, far or near, we are here and this is where we meet. She introduced phở to me, told me how to pronounce it, what I should use to eat it, what to get with my order. Phở overwhelmed my taste buds and drove me to love it forever. It’s such a thick broth, with the best noodles. You only need a small size to get by and you’re set. Despite being a small, it seems more like a large. I always get the chicken, which generally tastes good and fills you up. Those spring rolls are perfect. Rolled from rice paper and dipped with peanut sauce makes you want to yell out in delight. The peanut sauce is so so good. A necessary side order with your meal. I also get an avocado smoothie, but I always get avocado smoothies when I see them. It’s quite good. It’s cozy and comfortable. There’s not much service here, however. They won’t check in on you frequently, but as long as the food is there, I don’t really care. I imagine there’s better phở out there, but this will certainly satisfy your phở cravings.

When I found woman’s hair inside my bowl, I told the boss and just wanna remind her friendly. I didn’t expect that she told me that it’s a guy cooked the noodles and she didn’t cook, there should not be long hair inside. Even she said that the hair inside its mine hair. I’m a guy with short hair. It’s so irresponsible!

Um, I don’t know about their other stuff because I only order one thing here every time: BUNBOHUE. Bunbohue is a spicy broth noodle soup with thicker noodles than phở with chunks of pork, vietnamese sausage and tripe. They only have it on the weekends which is sad and also the reason why I try to come to Buffalo on the weekends. To eat their Bunbohue. To say that I love this dish would be an understatement. My life kind of has changed because of their Bunbohue. After coming here so much, I have become one of their regulars. Mama Saigon, which is how I call the owner, is also very nice :) I don’t want to hype it up too much and have people be disappointed but try it people. Try it and you may have found a good replacement for your phở fix for the days you want something heartier and slightly spicier. P. S. I also like their Avocado Smoothies!

Nope nope nope nope. The people working here were cold and uninviting. I had to wait a long time to talk to someone about the menu. The woman that I spoke to assured me that they had a vegetable-based soup – vegetable only. I asked in a bunch of different ways, politely, to be sure as I understand that that may not be the norm. I had heard that this place might have something that would be suitable and that they were a good place to check out. Brought some soup home for myself and another vegetarian, ate a bit of it very very skeptically, and got tremendously sick. My best guess is that it was regular phở broth with only vegetables. It was hard to detect but I’m almost 100% positive that it was not vegetarian. Save yourself the trip if you don’t eat meat.

Went here for the first time today with my stepdad. We both really enjoyed it. The phở was BOMB! And also the service was good too. The lady who worked there was very kind. Great first experience with phở! Everything was delicious and fresh. I will certainly eat here again. ^.^

It was okay. Even though I was really hungry I could tell it was not very good. The tum yum soup was decent/standard, as were the summer rolls. I was disappointed I did not receive the usual peanut sauce which they stated was included on the menu. I also ordered the grilled chicken on rice and the grilled shrimp on vermicelli and both were lacking in their protein(little chicken, little shrimp) compared to other Vietnamese places I have ordered from in the past. I wouldn’t really recommend it unless it’s the only place available(as was my case since I do not have a car in Buffalo and it was the only Vietnamese place on Taxicab Buffalo-a third party that delivers food for a fee). The only reason it did not receive a lower review was because the food was not oily which I really appreciated.

After years in the service industry, I always go out of my way to be polite to servers and salespeople because I have experienced first-hand how cruel people can be when they think you owe them something. My friend and I were really hopeful about our first phở experience, and it was delicious, but it’s never worth it if you don’t feel welcome back. The woman waiting on us barely acknowledged us when we came in and didn’t even ask us what we wanted to drink. We had to ask for drinks, and they came after the food. I also got my meal almost 5 minutes before my friend. The whole time she didn’t ask how we were, let alone smile or say more than three words at a time. When other tables came in she was more friendly with them and I couldn’t tell if it was because they were regulars or if we looked strange? The whole experience was off-putting. If you don’t act like you want me there, I’m always glad to do you and your business the favor and not return.

The phở here is amazing. Every time. The service is not what you would expect, and at first as a little off putting. It reminds me of «cheers» as a new comer you feel slightly unloved but as a regular you feel special and very much loved. Regardless if you want phở this is the place to get it!

I have a passion for Phở. On many cold days you will find me at First Phở Saigon which is located in the Burlington Coat Factory Plaza on Niagara Falls Boulevard. It is located at the very end of the building unit on the far end of Corner Bakery Café. This is not a fancy place by any means. It looks like it was a former Chinese takeout and the décor has curtains that block out much of the parking lot view. Although they have an extensive menu, I can only fairly review three to four items. The Phở is what keeps me coming back to this particular place. There are MANY places that you can find phở but once I find a place that is consistent with their broth flavor, I will be a regular. I’ve mentioned before that Phở is strongly based on the flavor of the broth. First Phở Saigon has had the most flavorful broth consistently in the last 3 – 4 years that I have frequented this place. The condiments that you get with the Phở is the typical limes, bean sprouts and Thai basil. Chopsticks and utensils are already at the table with the Sriracha and Hoisin sauce. I have brought many people to this place, and this has become their to go place for Phở. I love the sassy personality of the owners and the welcome feeling I always get when I walk through the door.

Had a great experience here with my girlfriend. The food came out quickly and piping hot too. I ordered the Beef Phở and it was fantastic, the broth was nicely seasoned but not too salty. Upon receiving our food we were immediately shocked by the amount of beef that they gave us, having read some reviews that criticized this. The service was efficient and fast, what more could we ask for? Overall I would definitely eat here again and I would easily recommend it to anyone. The negative reviews for this place are most likely just unfortunate events because we were highly impressed by Phở Saigon.

A very good Phở place for a quick lunch fix. The Phở is always hot and the ingredient are always fresh. I go here regularly and am a big fan of the spring rolls and the rare beef Phở. This family business is always welcoming and friendly. I am always created with a smile and the service is always quick.

Let me start off by saying I wanted to like this place. My mother worked in restaurants for many years and she used to say you can judge a restaurant 6.0s based on its lunch trade– with that being said when I walked in at lunchtime there was no one in the place. A few moments later two gentlemen entered and we’re discussing whether or not the heat was on in the place as it was so cold you could see your breath! The bowl of soup I ordered– they took the noodles out of a bucket on the floor and there was only 3 tiny piece of beef in it! For my $ I’d go to the Red Pepper next time!

Ordered and ate the«Special chili Soup» that they offer only on weekends. I had it Saturday evening and my stomach is still cramping today — Tuesday. I have never reacted like this to any food ever before. Something old, putrid, or dirty made it into my bowl. I have no idea — the soup tasted fine. I am going to call and tell them when I feel better. I will never go back. P. S. my guest had phở and is fine.
