The rooms were clean, smelled fine, great price, and I even liked the free continental breakfast!

Do not waste your time or money. We booked a room for 8÷11÷14 through the weekend, but we had to cancel our reservation after arriving and seeing the condition of the place. First of all, the entire lobby and breakfast/lounge area was under construction, with the floor tore up, saws and remodeling equipment laying around and the furniture all pushed to the walls. Second, we get to our room on the first floor(110) and it smelt terrible. You could tell it was once a smokers room, and the corner of the room smelt as though someone peed in it. There were also stains on the pillow case. Well, we called the front desk and they switched us to another room on the first floor(106). You could tell the clerk sprayed the room with febreeze because the nice smell dissipated within minutes, and then shortly after moving the construction guys started using a skill saw right outside our door, which if you don’t know, sounds very high pitched. That was it for us. Luckily we were able to cancel our reservation and move to a nicer hotel the next town over. This place is not worth the money! And if they are going to be doing some serious remodeling they should consider closing down instead of subjecting their customers to it.

When we arrived, I was shocked at the appearance of this place. It was old, outdated and had a closed down diner on the property. We checked in and the clerk was helpful. We got a room with two beds, but it was still not a very large room and there was no iron. The room was clean though. We had to unplug other things to charge up phones and laptops. We were in a non smoking room, but we could smell the smoke everywhere. The entire place smelled of smokers. We were staying here for a wedding that was about ½ hour away and when we returned later at night, the hotel was packed, inside and out. There were a lot of shady looking folks roaming around outside in the parking lot and it looked like a few were sleeping there as well. The hotel was now very loud inside and even in the wee hours of the morning, I could hear a lot of noise(and the smoke got worse). The breakfast was your basic cereal, juice, coffee, waffles and English muffins. This hotel is NOT worth the price(too much money for a place like this and I have stayed at 4 star hotels for the same price). The only thing it really has going for it is it is conveniently located off the NYS Thruway. There are very few hotels in this area, so I assume that is why they fill up quickly.

This hotel’s not bad. My stay here was the first and last time though, as I will be staying at the America’s Best Value Inn next time. There’s nothing wrong with this hotel, but America’s Best Value Inn is less expensive, and is closer to downtown. The only reason I stayed here is because when I was traveling with my friend, we were both 20 at the time(America’s Best Value Inn has a 21+ policy).
