Usually Unilocal is spot on but how in the world did this place get 4 stars… even if service is good it doesn’t make up for the food. I have been here a couple of times because I thought he first time was a fluke and I must of gone on a bad day. Both experiences were the same the food was salty and lacked flavor… The Carne Asada I got seemed like it was boiled, it had the meat particles of scum in with it, they just throw it on the grill before serving but it gives the meat a horrible texture. The bottom of the burrito is always soaked with oil as well, probably trying to make up for the dry boiled meat. Salsa lacked flavor and was watery. Wet Burritos sauce taste pretty good though, tasted like pizza sauce. I gave it a couple of tries and I can honestly say was not worth the space in my stomach…

I love this place!!! I have been coming here since I was a little girl with my parents. They haven’t changed a bit, the food is amazing, they always treat you like family, and they are always making it fresh! The family is so nice, and I come here to grub on some delicious food every time i am in town :)

Good service does not do it for me. $ 40 for about $ 20 worth of food elsewhere. The food tasted ok but Ill just go to Taqueria or Esters or Bobby Dees with my 20 $. Money is tight enough, when you go out instead of making your own food it should be fair. For the price I paid I could have gone to Blue Agave or El Farolito.

I really enjoyed this place! Right as we arrived the owner welcomed us and shook our hands. The service was amazing and efficient with taking our order to serving our food to refiling our drinks. We ordered a side of gucamole with our complimentary chips and salsa. Hands down, this is probably one of the best gucamoles I’ve ever tasted. It’s included a lot of fresh ingredients and you can really taste each one individual ingredient. We had also ordered the wet burrito with carne asada and chicken flautas with a side a beans and rice. Starting with Wet carne asada burrito, this helping was huge and plenty for leftovers the next day. The meat was juicy and the blend of flavors was neither too salty or too bland. It also, included a lot of fresh ingredients which you can tell by the texture of the cilantro and tomatoes. Moving on to the chicken flautas combo, the rice and beans came out pipping hot MMMmm… Not at all did it seem like it was sitting around. I usually order chicken flautas at varying Mexican restaurants because I really enjoy the texture and this place really hit the spot. The outside was light and crisp and the chicken inside was juicy and savory. MMmM… wish I had some right now… haha! The table settings are good for groups of 1 – 4 people. My only real gripe is the pricing here it is a little more expensive then most places and maybe the atomosphere of the restaurant… which is your typical hole in the wall Mexican restaurant(hence my –1 star) Other than that this place really has great service and food. I can’t wait to try their other dishes! :)

Came here, just once, as an out-of-towner with a hunger for Mexican. It was close by and 4 stars, so I gave it a shot. Maybe I’m spoiled by the many good Mex places in my own neighborhood, but Antonio’s did not impress me at all. I got a beef taco/chile relleno combo for $ 7.50. Both the taco & relleno were fairly small, and while I liked the flavor of the relleno, the taco was pretty lame, with just a tiny amount of beef and little flavor, even with the salsa(which itself is disappointing, as others noted). On the plus side, the beans and rice– included in combo– while not generous portions, were tasty. But I didn’t go for the beans and rice. And I don’t think I’ll bother going back. Sorry Antonio, but there are too many other Mex places to try…

Man I wish there were more of these places. Other establishments like don joses and el torito have really destroyed Mexican food. This is good quality food from good people. I make sure I come here every Friday after golfing with the ladies at the nursing home!

AVOID!!! We were tricked into coming here by the good Unilocal reviews. I ordered a rolled taco combo. The menu stated that it was 7.49. The man asked if I wanted 2 or 3 tacos. I asked for three. I was charged 11 dollars for this meal. The others in my party were also mislead about the prices. At any other taqueria it would have cost us about 23 dollars. Here, it was 47 dollars for three rolled taco combos and a pair of soft tacos. How??? They trick you by having you pay after you eat. The salsa is like a spicy pizza sauce. Also, they asked us three or four times if we wanted more rolled tacos, kept coming by our table to check on us so much that it was a nuisance. None of the good reviews are true. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

I used to work nearby and would eat here every so often. It’s family owned and everyone was always so nice. Well it’s been probably about 3 or 4 years since I’ve been back and I still received the same welcome. They still remembered me. The food tasted exactly the same. I would have taken a pic, but I forgot and started wolfing down my Carne Asada burrito. Well most of it, that thing was huge and I had leftovers! Prices are a little bit higher than some other places, but the portions are pretty large so you could easily split something. We are here and they were very attentive. I never wanted for a refill or for fresh tortilla chips at the table. I will definitely have to stop by way more frequently.

We have been eating here for over fifteen years and never had a bad meal. The carne asada plate is enough for three people and the salsa and guac are terrific!

The food and the service here is great! The owners are sweet and very attentive to their customers! They make an effort to treat everyone like family and get to know them. I came with my husband and we ordered a torta and enchiladas! My husband said it was the best torta he has tried ever! Great place I am definitely coming more often:)

This place is pretty expensive for what you get. I ordered a shrimp burrito and it was huge but it was filled w/a ton of smashed refried beans, guacamole but hardly any shrimp. It was very mushy and that texture is pretty off putting. I’d suggest requesting for less beans like other reviewers have said and go w/either pinto or black beans. If given the choice I’d rather order a shrimp burrito from Alertos/Albertos so take that for what it’s worth. I won’t be returning. Be wary of the Unilocal reviews they might be padded.

This place is terrible from food, atmosphere, hygiene and service. Misled by reviews. First of all, the atmosphere is not hygienic but sometimes that’s forgivable for amazing Mexican food. Yet. The smell inside this place should’ve had me turning out the door. Carnitas was bland, salsa was bland. Beans and rice. bland. Cheese had a funky smell to it, I’m not sure if the food had been sitting out for a long time in lukewarm heat or that they used a foreign cheese that I’m unfamiliar with. But it gives you an idea of the kind of funk the food smells like. Not impressed. Definitely never going back.

This place has some damn good Mexican food. Everything tastes authentic, and fresh. The place is clearly family operated, which is why I like going here(to support small businesses). Granted, the owner is not the friendliest on the phone or at the register, but he’s not rude or anything either. All the other staff are absolutely wonderful. I’m not sure why some people say the salsa is terrible. It’s really not bad at all. And if you get upset because a Mexican restaurant offers(read: doesn’t force) you Tapatio, then I think that’s more of a personal issue. I will definitely return. I didn’t give the place 5 stars only because I personally don’t believe in giving five stars unless my socks are wow-ed off. Like, God(or your personal«higher power») has to bless the establishment. In person. Hasn’t happened yet to my knowledge. Still, this place is amazing and I strongly recommend it to friends.
