Prime location, tucked in the corner of the Grand Californian lobby. It’s a really nice experience walking through the lobby. Typical activity for a place in Downtown Disneyland. I once visited on a Friday night but didn’t even bother getting a drink; too crowded, tired vibe, etc. This time, I went on a Tuesday after work to meet some friends in town, and it was pretty mellow. They have a nice selection of drinks! I had a glass of wine from their long list, my friends got a really good assortment of drinks: Fat Tire ale, rum & pineapple, and even a bourbon flight. Everyone seemed happy with their selections. Quesadilla was a little mediocre for its price. But I get it, it’s a resort. What balances it out is the service: top notch, signature Disney. I’d go here if a) you’re staying here and really need a drink, or b) you’re tired and really need a drink, away(sort of) from the madness.

Don’t waste your money on drinks here. I stopped by for a drink to take to the lobby. Ordered an Old Fashion which is normally whiskey, muddled stuff and a splash of soda water. The bartender made mine with 1 part whiskey and 2 parts soda water. My friend’s whiskey sour was made the same way. We thought it’s bc it’s Disneyland they’re cheating you on drinks. Took our drinks to Napa Rose for some apps. All three bartenders laughed at our drinks and were nice enough to make us new ones! Go to Napa Rose for drinks!

Rolling through Cali Adventure and just plain needed a break from it all. No distractions just some semblance a bar to reorganize and plan the next course of action. Walking through the Grand Californian, I was reminded of Old Faithful Inn in the Yellowstone National Park, all be it with a more contemporary edge. Heads on a swivel, we spied the Hearthstone. Walking in everything seemed relaxing. Hell, there were people chilling around a fireplace in May… I might add. The GF and I ponied up to the bar. The keepers of the bar were friendly. We ordered off the drink menu. I took a local brew and sadly… I can’t remember what it was. The GF ordered up a cocktail. I have no recollection of what it was. The one thing I can remember was the keepers of the bar were friendly, stated everything was more expensive in that particular neck of California, and they provided free party mix! The price was not that bad for vacation standards and the party mix was just plain awesome! It’s going to be awhile before I visit anything Disney again. But when I do visit Disney’s California Adventure and need to blow off some steam, or warm my feet by a fire, I will absolutely stop by Hearthstone Lounge again.

Good bar for late night snacks. We had the ribs and the margherita flatbread and both were tasty. Service was friendly and quick. Good place to unwind after a fun day at DL.

Wow, Bob Iger cuts strike again. This used to be a good go to for a nice strong drink after a long day, considering its $ 13 for a long island. Not the case anymore. I argued with the bartenders, not something I do often considering my past as one myself, telling them the drink is nothing how it used to be. They assured me it’s the«Disney» recipe. I made them remake our drinks 4 times, yes 4 times until I gave up. A bartender should know what a Long Island is, which it definitely is not half sweet and sour, ¼ coke, and a few splashes of booze. Another hidden gem ruined by the current sweep of Bob Iger’s dictatorship rationing. #FireBobIger

This is the bar that is located inside of the Grand Californian Hotel at downtown Disney. As with most businesses at downtown Disney, you’ll only come to this bar if you are visiting the parks, visiting downtown Disney or staying at one of the resort hotels. If you are just coming to drink, you’ll have to deal with either valet at the hotel entrance or ticketed parking at downtown Disney… so seriously. go somewhere else. Unless you’re on a date(then it’s really romantic!) The bar is located in the southwest side of the lobby. Lots of seating, really awesome service(of course) and crafty cocktails for a craftier price. This bar is open until 1−130ish which is among the latest in downtown Disney. They have a few local beers on tap including the Karl Strauss IPA that they sell in California Adventure. There is a larger bottled selection. I don’t fancy the cocktails so much because they break the bank but my friend had a Moscow mule that he enjoyed very much. The ambiance of the hotel is the best part about the bar. there is a indoor and outdoor fire place that you can sit at and it’s very relaxing(or romantic!) and is the best way to enjoy your drink!

Nice place in the middle of the Grand Californian Hotel in the Disney property. A refuge from the insanity that is Disneyland. I came in here to watch the Warriors and Rockets playoff game and had a few beers. Good bartenders as well. Relaxed vibe. One suggestion…, keep screaming kids out of here. They can’t drink, so why do they need to be in here?

If you are looking to make the screams of small humans into more of a dull background noise, start your day with a wonderful Bloody Mary from the hearthstone lounge. Bartender Larry is a Demi-God. If you find yourself with one of those small humans, this place is quiet and has an outdoor patio and classy indoor bar. If you are a small human yourself, I have no recommendation except to stop yelling so much and using hand sanitizer before touching anything, please.

Tip: You do not have to be a guest at the Grand Californian to get away from the massive crowds, the heat, the wave of baby strollers… to come to the Hearthstone Lounge and just chill. This is just a lovely lovely place to grab a drink, a quick bite, …your wits… and chillax. The chicken quesadilla is excellent. The Wagyu beef sliders are great as well. Prices are actually very reasonable compared to the food in the park. Portions are very generous! Service is great, food is great, libation selection is great. Try the tequila flight before you take flight on the California Screamin… yeehaaw

So much fun! This Lounge is located inside the hotel at Disneyland. The staff is amazing and fun, drinks are made very well, and the at atmosphere is fun and alive. My drink of choice here is the Black Pearl, It so so delicious and always made perfect by every bartender. I usually order the drinks and hang out at the bar or take them back to the hotel and just sit by the fireplace and relax, ask for a side of free drink snacks. If you are sitting at the bar the snacks are usually always there ready for you to enjoy but if you are sitting else where they will give you some in a cup to go. Ask for Carrie she’s the coolest bartender there. Very friendly and helpful :) Enjoy!

Jessica is the shining star behind the bar. This place is a great respite from the hordes at Disney. I feel like I should backup the above statement saying Becky was our bartender, but paled in comparison to Jessica who truly made the experience great. She checked in with us even though we weren’t necessarily her assigned patrons and her customer service was on point. A true shining star in my opinion.

Here’s a hidden secret for when you’re at DCA, the Cove Bar line is out of control and you want to sit down for a drink: visit the Hearthstone Lounge. They serve a similar drink menu to the Cove Bar with many of my favorites, including the Captain’s Mai Tai — a fun, fruity tiki drink that comes with a pineapple garnish. You can even order many of the special drinks that come with glow cubes; however, the secret drink menu at the Cove Bar is exclusive to that location. If you want the Sun Wheel or Zombie, you’ll have to wait in line over there. The Hearthstone Lounge also has a different food menu, so again, if you’re craving Lobster Nachos, the Cove Bar is your only option. If you’re in DCA, the Hearthstone Lounge is easily accessible through the Grand Californian entrance/exit, which is located across from the Grizzly Rapids Ride. Once in the hotel lobby, the bar is located in the back corner by the grand fireplace. There’s always ample seating, including bartop, tables and couches. Even when I visited yesterday and the parks were packed, I was still able to find a table immediately during the dinnertime hours. This bar is open seating, and they have an attentive wait staff that provided excellent service yesterday evening. I didn’t order food, but they served a complimentary bowl of Chex-Mix-type bar snacks. If you’re interested in real food, they do have a decent menu with sliders, flatbreads, and a cheese plate that I came very close to ordering yesterday and gorging myself on. The atmosphere of this lounge is a bit more«adult» than the Cove Bar; whereas the Cove Bar is outside and always feels like a wild and rowdy party, the Hearthstone Lounge is indoors, quiet and a more sophisticated environment for adults who need to wind down. If you’re looking for more of a party and the Cove Bar line is too long, check out UVA Bar in Downtown Disney. The drinks at Hearthstone Lounge are moderately priced and never disappointing. They’re not super strong, but they definitely have a nice kick to them. They offer something for everyone, whether you’re into sweet, sour or strong mixed drinks. My sweet recommendation, as I noted before, is definitely the Captain’s Mai Tai. They also serve a mean Long Island and a smooth Truffle Olive Martini. The truffle olives are the best part. If it was socially acceptable, I’d definitely just order a bowl of truffle olives. I definitely recommend checking this lounge out if: A) It’s freakishly hot outside; B) It’s freakishly cold outside; or C) You want to drink at the Cove Bar, but the line over there is freakishly long. Cheers!

Nice lounge inside the Grand Californian. If you want to unwind and kick back, this is a very relaxing place to do it, unlike some of the other«bars» around Disneyland(Cove Bar, downtown Disney, etc). Note: we grabbed a couple of beers here while waiting for our table next door at Storyteller’s Café. You are allowed to take your beer with you so no need to chug it before leaving the lounge ;)

I love spending time at Hearthstone. The drinks are a little pricey but the ambience is great and the service is always welcoming and helpful. It’s always packed so plan ahead if you’re going to stay longer than a quick drink.

So my friends and I go here when the cove bar line is just too long, or we came too late and the cove bar is closed. They serve a decent selection of alcohol here, but not as interesting of drinks as you can find over at the Cove Bar, and they are missing the lobster nachos which is a bit of a drawback. The good thing though is that they do sell fairly priced(for Disneyland anyways) garlic fries to go with your drinks, and they sometimes serve you a small plate of snack to enjoy with your drinks, which is a good plus.

This bar is a bit hidden inside of the grand Californian hotel. After a long day of walking or for a midday break. It’s great to nestle into one of their seats or tables and take a breather. We were able to snag a small table tucked away in a corner that provided a nice relaxing opportunity to enjoy a peaceful moment with cocktails! Raspberry Mint mojito: way too sweet for my tastes. It has fresh raspberry purée, vodka, coconut water, and some other stuff I can’t remember. It just wasn’t good for me. Meh. Mai tai: this had a weird after taste for me but the bf enjoyed it. The trail mix/pub mix thing they give you is tasty but spicy. Overall. Come for the ambiance and maybe stick to simple drinks like a beer and relax!

A hidden little gem! This place is a perfect spot to unwind(before) or after a long day ay the park! The ambiance is casual and bar makes decent drinks. There are several tables and couches to enjoy your drinks or bar bites. Prices are average and they serve Pub Mix at the bar– I call that a win win!

We went here before but ended up somewhere else. The line to go inside Disneyland was probably 3 hours plus on the first day of its Diamond anniversary and this place seemed like a great option… I needed a drink after my disappointment of not getting inside the park: P You don’t have to wait for the hostess to seat you. Go to an empty table and seat yourself. Ordered Captain’s mai tai, martini banana rum, and mini and two mini wagyu sliders. Captain’s Mai Tai($ 10.50): Captain Morgan original spiced rum, amaretto, and tropical juices topped with a float of Myer’s original dark rum. Fruity, tangy and very potent. Martini banana rum($ 10.25): Captain Morgan original spiced rum, Bols crème de banana, and RumChata cram liqueur. Not a fan. the horchata taste was overpowering. Two mini wagyu sliders($ 12.99): topped with cabrales blue, bing cherry cabernet spread, arugula, pears, and a side of garlic herb skinny fries. My buns were cold, the meat was dry and tasteless. We had to ask for ranch dressing to jazz it up a little. The fries were cold but was much better than the sliders. I would rather get my drink & food at California Adventure’s Cove Bar or Downtown Disney’s UVA Bar. The service was friendly and helpful but non attentive. I asked 2 waitresses for water 3 times and asked for ranch dressing twice. We finally got our ranch dressing after I was halfway done with our food. QUICKTIP: NOANNUALPASSDISCOUNTFORTHEALCOHOL, ONLYFORTHEFOOD. 3 stars! Harthstone Lounge is not yummylicious!

Y’know when your taking the tram ride over from the parking structure and the informative announcement spiel plays and they mention the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa and how it was built based on the arts and crafts movement in California… am I the only one that just pictures Popsicle sticks, glue, glitter, and macaroni? Anyway… The Hearthstone Lounge is indeed located in the aforementioned Grand Californian Hotel and Spa and can be accessed via their lobby. There are several bar type places around the Disneyland Resort and this is one of the more spacious ones. I like that there are plenty of comfy couches, chairs, and tables to sit in/at and it doesn’t feel cramped at all(like the inside of Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel). This lounge, as well as the lounge at Carthay Circle in DCA, are more on a «fancier» level of those I have visited around the resort. I really like the décor and color scheme of the interior of this lounge. I really love the little Mickey silhouettes all along the chandeliers, but honestly I wish they did something more with those lightbulbs because compared to some of the other stuff going on they just look sort of plain. Most of the bars/lounges around the resort offer many of the same drinks(for the most part even though Trader Sam’s has its own unique menu) and this one is really no exception. Keep in mind they do have a full bar so don’t feel tied down to only their specialty drinks they offer here and elsewhere. The drinks here are mixed well and come out quickly. I don’t know what’s up with a lot of the negative reviews citing poor service, but I did not encounter this on my visit. The cast member that assisted us that evening was polite and actually quite attentive. She even dropped off a bowel of mixed bar nuts and snacks for us. They do offer various small plates and appetizers here but I think I would just come for some drinks and just relax and soak up the atmosphere. I definitely would hit up this spot again!
