Head on over to Condor Flats as Minnie’s Fly Girls Charter Airlines takes you through a fun-​filled «travelogue» of song and dance, performing in front of the Fly ‘n’ Buy.
How many places can you go in one day? In one hour? Join your crew Amanda, Pat, Kate, and the Runway Captain Lee as they sing you around the world, incorporating songs such as «You Belong to Me», «Istanbul (Not Constantinople), «Brazil», «I Love Paris», «The Girl from Ipanema», and many other recognizable tunes.
While waiting for Minnie to arrive, the crew talks about how Minnie loves to fly, just as much as her friend Walt Disney. As they say «Walt always says you don’t need a plane to fly. Just an imagination … and a song». The crew sings tunes of «You Can Fly», «When I See an Elephant Fly», and «Let’s Go Fly a Kite».
An announcement plays stating that Minnie is now coming in for a landing. A path is cleared as Minnie makes her way to the stage. The crew are excited to see Minnie as she is to see them. They all go into song «Come Fly with Me». Just as Minnie is mentioning how everything looks, she mentions about taking Mickey up for a spin. But Lee reminds her that she still needs to file the flight plan and then afterwards meet with some of her frequent «smilers» over by her private plane.
After the show, the crew mentions that in about 5 minutes, Minnie will be able to meet with everyone over by her private plane, which is further down the runway heading towards Grizzly Peak.
What makes this show really special is that Minnie actually talks and sings. Her mouth moves and her eyes blink.
Performing daily (check Disney California Adventure’s Entertainment Schedule for show times), the performance lasts about 15 minutes and is a great addition to Condor Flats. I think this is a show many people will enjoy watching.
