I must say. its always hard to know if i should go off mixed reviews and other peoples opinions. kinda have to seek on my own to really know for sure. i must say i see why they have a 4 star rating! the pizza is great and the«estimated delivery» was spot on! Now i know that is not always realistic but i can say for the first time ordering with them it was a great first time experience all away around & def worth trying out!

Second time ordering from this pizza joint. Family wanted something fast and easy tonight but now we regret it overly priced for soggy pizza and sour salad dressing and old tasting spaghetti and meat balls taste like chlorine!

The one star is only because it was easy to place the order, the correct order arrived and it arrived on time. That’s the only positive thing I can say. Here is my issue. I work for a large office in Cypress and other managers order pizzas for their teams from Papa Pilos and I heard it was good so I thought I would give them a try. I ordered 4XL pizzas for lunch last Thursday. Since it was a company expenditure that I needed to be reimbursed for I asked when I placed the order if I would get an updated receipt showing the tip once it was delivered. I was told I would. When the pizza was delivered the receptionist tipped $ 15 but no updated receipt was left. I called that afternoon and spoke to Holly, who took down my contact information and said that Vanessa the mgr would email a receipt to me when she got in at 4PM. Next day, no receipt. I called back that afternoon and spoke with Amy. Same thing. She took my information and said she would get it to Vanessa, the manager. Came back from Memorial Day weekend and still no receipt. Called mid afternoon and spoke with Amy again. Told her this would be my last call and if I didn’t get a receipt or call from Vanessa I would put my story on Unilocal. Interestingly, when Amy first picked up the phone I could hear her talking to another upset customer and telling them she would be leaving a note for Vanessa as well. Sounds like things are not going very well over there. In addition, my team was disappointed with the pizzas. Said they were not up to their usual standard. Kind of greasy. Also, another employee ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza and said there was a bone in it. I’m definitely spreading the work within our office that their service and quality is apparently not what it used to be. I guess they don’t care about their service anymore.

Pizza is effing amazing. If you are a cheese lover you will LOVE their pizza. They do NOT skimp on the cheese or the toppings. Do not change Papa Pilos, we will only order pizza from you.

Yummmmmy mom and pop pizza joint. This place right here is the reason why we need to support them! This place is a little pricier than your average chain pizza place but once you take a bite you can instantly see why. Their cheese, oh their oozing with so much goodness cheese. It’s so fresh and tastes great even the next day. I really like their bread, sauce, cheese and toppings portioning! They don’t skimp out! I’ve also gotten delivery a couple times and they always arrived nice and hot! Just a warning though, Papa Pilos is located in somewhat of a sketchy area. But don’t let that scare you. Lol

Starving and they came 20mins sooner than expected delivery time. Pizza was absolutely delish. We did ask for extra Parmesan and Chili Flakes. That was a fail but everything else was excellent.

I looked up mozzarella sticks on Unilocal and this place popped up! I checked the pictures and bam there they were. So I went in I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks and the guy(who looks miserable and bored) charges me for both. When the food comes out… No mozzarella sticks. Instead I get nasty garlic bread and the pizza. I checked the menu and it said mozzarella sticks are only available at long beach?! What the heck okay that’s my fault but instead of charging me for something I didn’t order he could have told me they had none!! Horrible horrible! Plus the pizza was so oily and everything just slipped right off. Never coming here again!

Best pizza in 5 mile area! Dough is fresh with great dough flavor and crispy crust ends. Cheese strings down when you lift slices up and oils(fat) from cheese pools. Ahhhh motzarella as it should be! Sauce is flavorfull with a medium build. A great perportion of dough, cheese and sauce. A bit pricey but they do carry coupons and you get what you pay for. 4÷8÷16 Well I went online to place an order to pick up. There was a special on a Xlarge one topping pizza for $ 12.99, I thought great that’s only bout 1.70 more than the med I was going to order. The condition of the deal was(this is thru Unilocal by the way), to check in to Facebook at their site, I did and received the offer which read«Thanks for checking in to Papa Pilo’s! Here’s a little something to show their appreciation.» Which is the pizza price. At the bottom of screen it reads«Show screen to employee to redeem your offer». Ok, now I see another offer from Papa Pilo’s, $ 15 for $ 20 deal! Ok, this involves Pre-paying via credit card for $ 20 voucher good for 1 year after purchase. Great ok, I save $ 5 on pre– paying and get a few bucks off my pizza for liking them on Facebook. Good Deal! Yeah! Well, NOT! NOT! NOT! Can only use one offer per visit! What, this is written no where on the site. These are not coupons! I had to pre-pay online via credit card for a one year $ 15 basically ‘gift card’! Unilocal condition to business owner about this deal was also on page which read «Business owner: Deal must be honored according to terms on voucher. No additional restrictions may be added at time of redemption». On the Second deal I had to like Papa Pilo’s on Facebook to get the discount which by the way expired by the 4 hour countdown clock on the page that had to be shown to employee/owner! Like I said these are not their coupons they attach on every order which also do not disclaim that you can use only one of them at a time. I also found this out the hard way. Nearly ALL coupons print this disclaimer on their coupons, though in smaller print. Laughing out loud. You be the Judge, am I over reacting or are they being deceitful to get the customer in the door?

Really good pizza! Our company placed an order for 15 pizza and to my surprise they were really good. The delivery was expected at 12:15 but they didn’t arrive till 12:30. 15 minutes late isn’t bad for the amount of pizza we ordered. Ordered items: 15 pizzas, we had a combination of cheese, meat lovers, veggie lovers and Hawaiian. In the past we’ve had an issue with the pizza from Papa Pilo’s being too greasy. That was not an issue last Friday. The pizza was delicious! Ive never had a pizza filled with so much cheese and toppings before. Every slice contained a bunch of warm melted cheese and extra layers of toppings on the bottom. The amount of pizza sauce was perfect and the crust was just right. Ive worked at a pizza joint in the past, so im very picky with my pizza. Papa Pilo’s passed! Overall, I really enjoyed each and every bite of my pizza. They weren’t stingy with their cheese and toppings, so they hooked us up with a tasty pizza.

Our usual pizza spot is closed on Sunday’s so we took a shot here. We ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza online through the Unilocal app. When we got there they were out of pepperoni so we had to wait 30 min for them to make our pizza. The guy at the front desk was not helpful & they offered a discount to the lady after us for the lack of pepperoni but not us. The size for an extra large is about the same of a large at another place. The sauce was too watered down & the cheese kept falling off. When we got home(about 45 min after we placed the order) a rep called to ask us what topping we wanted since the pepperoni was out. It was an $ 8 pizza at a $ 14 price. Mediocre at best.

We were in town from Portland and decided to get food delivered. We Unilocaled and found this place with an extensive menu. I ordered an assortment of food from pizza, wings, cheesy bread, salad and soda. When I made the order through Unilocal it was super easy. I selected cash as the method of payment but shortly after realized that I would need to use my card because I didn’t have enough cash on me and was at a hotel. I called the restaurant and they were super nice about it and told me I’d be able to pay with my card. The gal I spoke with told me to just let the delivery guy know that I’d be splitting it. It was my mistake so I’m really glad they were able to help me. Anyway, about 90 minutes or so later our order arrived straight to our hotel room. But when we told the delivery guy we would be putting some of our order on our card, he simply said we couldn’t and he wasn’t able to accept the card. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it so I just had my friend staying with us spot me some cash to make up for the difference. Not huge but I thought I’d mention that mix up. Anyway the food was pretty mediocre. Nothing to run home about but perhaps it was because the food was a little cold. I’m sure it just comes with the delivery time, we must have been a ways away from the restaurant. Oh well we warmed it up with the hotel rooms microwave. Anyway– the wings were burnt and not good. I’ve included a picture here so you can see for yourself. We tried to eat some but gave up on the wings.

Pizza just ok, and the antipasto could be fresher and greener. Pepperoni pizza was super greasy and cheese bread was drenched in butter. Kids probably like this because its quantity over quality. I’d rather go to cortinas, but they’re closed on Sundays San this place isn’t. Parking in front and you don’t need reservations even on a weeknight.

4 stars for the pizza! Lots of topping and enough cheese. However I’ve ordered twice now for delivery the first time it took 45mins and pizza was barely warm when it got here. Only live 3 miles away ok I just heated it up in the toaster oven. Problem solved! So I order again last night 90 mins later it finally arrived and again was barely warm I had called to check status of my order the girl said she had no more delivery orders that all were out being delivered no apology for the long wait it took 10 more minutes after my phone call to receive my dinner the driver was just ok not friendly just drop and run I think either they are trying to deliver too many orders on the same run and they do not have the proper holding bags in the cars to keep the pizza warm or even I was the last stop on the route who knows??? All I know is that twice I’ve ordered and twice I’ve gotten almost ice cold pizza! If I wanted to bake or reheat a pizza o would buy my own and cook it myself! The whole point of ordering delivery pizza is not to reheat yourself it’s just to grab and eat while watching your movie Don’t get me wrong the pizza was really good!!! That’s why I gave them 4 stars but if it was based on the delivery service and the barley warm pizza I would give them only 1 star! Let see 3rd time is a charm will see how it goes

I’ve been ordering home delivery from them for over 2 years and I’ve never been disappointed. Delivery: Always fast, friendly and on time! Delivered pipping hot. Pizza: They never skimp on toppings, very good red sauce and crust. Pasta: Lots of choices, good marinara sauce and meatballs, garlic toast always included. Prices: Very reasonable for quality and quantity. Thank you Papa Pilo’s!

Unilocal Challenge 2015319⁄365 Local pizza at the corner of Knott and Ball next door to a donut shop. This place took over my favorite place in the area, Marias pizza. Papas offers dine in, take out or delivery options. Specializing in pizza, subs, pastta and salad. Been here a handful of times for the pizza. Usually stick with the Papa Pillos deluxe or their BBQ chicken pizzas. If I am feeling plain its ½ pepperoni ½ deluxe. Italian style Salami sandwiches have also been perfect for a grab and go home type of lunch. 3 stars because I have had better pizza, but had to travel to get it. #794

So I saw one of my fellow Unilocalers talking about good this place is, and I had to give it a try since my usual place doesn’t deliver to my area. I took about 45 minutes for our pizza to be delivered, but I’m thinking that’s just because it’s Halloween. But oh man I was stoked at this little gem! I got a large pepperoni pizza with the cheese sticks. It fed the house and EVERYONE was talking about good it all was! The pizza had so much cheese, pepperoni, and bell pepper, the bread was LOADED with cheese, and you got a huge tin of marinara. You get a lot for your money too; a large pizza and the need fed a house of 6. Overall, totally awesome!

Amazing little local joint. Plenty of coupons and discounts available… You can eat here for less than Dominos, PJ’s, etc. and the food quality is much superior. Went with and x-large half Papa Pilo/Meats and a Garden Salad. I picked up the salad as a throw in, but what luck! My wife said it is the best salad she has had in SoCal. Super fresh, but it is all about the homemade Italian dressing… to die for! Knowing this, the antipasta salad is the way to go. The pizza was rock solid with so much cheese you will need a pair of scissors or a sharp blade to get it on your plate. Great find, wonderful staff. Awesome for takeout, but eating in is a legit option. Just a heads-up, No alcohol.

So, we have had Papa Pilos a few times now and have been pleasantly surprised with this little place in a strip mall near the M&L Fabric. The pizza is tasty and they offer a $ 13.99 any size check-in special. You can also find gift cards on which occasionally go on sale for $ 3 for $ 10.(Not sure if you can use the specials together). We typically order an XL meat lovers pizza and a green salad. Caution, make sure you drain the excess water from salad before you add the dressing, otherwise you will have salad soup. This last time we also ordered the lasagna and will probably not order it again. It is a large serving with garlic bread but it is really salty. Tried ordering for delivery one time, but there was an hour and a half wait. I hear this is pretty common. Worth the try if you don’t mind picking it up. If you eat in, they have seating for about 30 people inside.
