I was referred here for my 13 year old son’s arm injury. I was very impressed with the PT, Peter Morris, assigned to work with him. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained the treatment/​exercises he recommended. He’s the reason I gave SMI 2 stars and unfortunately he left SMI mid-​way through my son’s recovery.
The reason I gave the low rating was: 1) Peter Morris leaving SMI mid-​way through my son’s physical therapy, 2) no communication regarding the change of PTs, and 3) the biggest reason was how poorly the front office was run all the way from reception to billing.
If your doctor gives you other options for physical therapy recommendations, take it!

I recently completed twelve sessions of physical therapy for a back injury here at SMI. I was pretty skeptical about physical therapy when I came in, as I had been down that road before (elsewhere) and it wasn’t very helpful… it fact, it was a nuisance with my busy schedule.
However, this time was different. They did a full assessment of what I could do and not do at my first visit. We started out with some basic exercises and they incorporated therapeutic massage.
Each visit, progressed and after three visits I was already noticing a difference in how I felt and what I could do. I had confidence in the staff because I was seeing results.
Now, after twelve sessions, I have increased flexibility, less pain and a good exercise regiment I can take with me to continue progressing on my own. I thought constant back pain was just something I had to learn to live with and never thought I would feel this good again.

This is the second physical therapy place that I went to for a knee injury. They ultimately eliminated the issue, and identified and resolved an insurance problem that the other physical therapy place I went to did not address, ultimately saving me hundreds of dollars in out of pocket expenses. Even from an administrative standpoint this place is organized and trustworthy.
I worked with nick and he was proactive in identifying the root of the problem that I had and gave me workouts to do when I wasn’t there as well. He waited until I was on track to full recovery to consider me «done». If you are considering going to a larger physical therapy chain that is also in orange/​Anaheim, I would recommend coming here instead.

Best place to go for physical therapy!
My husband just had hip replaced and is so much better after his completing his treatment there!
