First time here, got a torta combo with fries and a drink for 7.72. Not bad for what you get, food was hot when I got it, love that! Fries tasted very fresh and torta was pretty good. Definetly would recommend to come here.

This is really a 3.5 star place. I researched a Mexican joint and this place popped up. Some pics looked really good, and I asked to order an item from a photo I had shown the nice girl at the counter. I checked in, and you get a free taco for doing so. That was a nice touch, and appreciated. The food was just ok. Not a ton of flavor, but at the same time, it wasn’t terrible by any means. Just wasn’t a mind blowing experience, or excellent. Was just average. The guy cooking up the food, which is fresh to order, in the back was working pretty hard. That was quite evident, and much appreciated. I feel like they are just going through the motions and getting through their work day. I’d like to see more heart involved. And I bet their food would be above average. Not knocking the place, but it was just average at best.

Food is good here! I got a wet carne asada burrito and it was delicious! I did a Unilocal check-in and got a carnita taco that also tasted yummy in my tummy. I ordered a Cubana torta to try and I didn’t enjoy it as much as the rest of my food. Maybe because my eyes are bigger than my stomach –_– This joint has a salsa bar and a few seats iniside, so you can dine-in. They have specials for the day. This place have a great variety of food and combos, but I need to find another place that makes Cubana torta before I really judge on how it taste. On top of all this, the cashier is friendly and made sure I got everything like almost walking away without my horchata. I’ll sure be back here again!

Best Menudo I’ve had in along time! Small hole in the wall type of place but those are usually the best places to find super delicious food! Menudo and Chips were super fresh, love how they have Menudo 7 days a week. Will deffinately be back!

I really like this place. My work has brought them in for lunch at least five times in the four months I have worked there. My favorite item is definitely the chicken tacos, but all the different meats that they get are good. Their rice and beans are pretty tasty too. All the salsas are great and I love their chips. I have also picked up their food for dinner twice now. The chorizo quesadilla is great! The al pastor torta wasn’t very good. Beef taquitos are juicy and have ample toppings. Prices are really cheap and they make the food fast!

One of the best Cali burritos we have had in OC. The tortillas are a little toasted. So yum. Also got carnitas nachos, that the photo will speak for itself… Sprinkle a little lime and salsa on top and let’s just say I could die happy

Food was great! Had tacos de Azada and carnitas! I would definitely recommend getting carnitas. I enjoyed the grilled onions on the side. They also offered a salsa bar which I really enjoyed. Both the red and green salsa did it for me. My partner and I also shared a bacon and cheese breakfast burrito, which was delicious! There was so much flavor and the beans inside of the burrito were super yummy! Definitely recommend going here. Not fancy or well decorated but the food is delicious.

Goodbye, Alberto’s! I have found my new Mexican joint! Yes, Alberto’s WAS good. That time has long gone. And everytime, we want carnes asada fries or nachos and think of going to Alberto’s, we regret it. Unless it’s midnight. This made for a satisfying and non-spicy dinner — add the spicy salsa yourself, it does not come mouth-burning, just the way I like it. We ordered carne asada nachos, tacos al pastor, carnitas and pescado. The most disappointing of all was the fish tacos. I love fish tacos, but not this one. It’s not nasty, I’ve just had better. It seemed too… fried with old oil. The tacos al pastor was not as amazing as Taqueria Escalante, but still good. The nachos were chock full of soft meat and all the good stuff, and more importantly, not salty! You could say I am gringo, you will not find me ordering lengua or tripas. But the lady after me did order those items. And if it matters to you, yes the clientele were of the Hispanic kind. The Original Taco Factory, it is not. But why the 4 stars? Because it is not a Mexican joint where only ONE thing is good(I’m mainly looking at you, Pepe’s Finest). I need a joint that will be able to provide decent and affordable(take some pointers, El Farolito Jr) food, from nachos to burritos to tacos, etc. Staff was also very nice. One suggestion to the management, make the to-go salsa cups larger. As you can wait about 7 minutes while a customer fills up 15 itty-bitty cups. Why he needs that many for 2 styrofoam containers of food, we will never know.

Tacos were really good. I like their big salsa bar with radish… mmm. They give more meat than the other small taco places. I also like their grilled onions and jalapeño… just a nice touch on my tacos. This was my first time coming here, and I’ll come back again. And the salsa bar is clean. :)

I love tacos. I love nachos. I love quesadillas. Am I strict when it comes to the taco shops I enter? Not so much. This place has been on my radar since I moved to the area. I also have three $ 5.00 gift certificates from that I selected to use for this establishment. A mostly quiet place, aside from televised soccer and the cook clanging on pots and pans in the kitchen. They have a mini salsa bar, featuring an impressive Holy Toledo red salsa!!! It isn’t called that, but that’s what I coin it. The cashier was polite and helpful, she even struck up a brief conversation with us, before, during and after our meal. No deluxe furnishings and you can see right into the kitchen, behind the front counter. No razzle-dazzle. But the food is appetizing. Hello HELLABOMB tortilla chips!!! Nachos are the perfect size. No gargantuan nachos con carne platters here. If you want that, hit up another Mexican food restaurant or diner that offers super nachos. They also have jugos naturales = natural juices and fruit cocktails. The carne asada is fine and the carnitas is flavorful. The quesadilla average and not oily. Overall, very good. Pleased? We were:)

One of the best bacon breakfast burritos!!! Filled with egg, bacon, cheese, hash browns and beans, evenly mixed up so every bite is equally amazing! I also love the salsa bar when it has fresh pico de gallo(depending on the day of the week I’ve had to ask them to make it), and the warm salted homemade chips they give you. I may not get a smile or a hello, depending on who takes my order but I can look past that for the perfection of this burrito:)

This is pretty much a hole in a wall restaurant that most of my co-workers would go for a quick and cheap lunch. In fact, the owner recognizes some of my friends since they are regular customers. Their taco lunch plate is definitely a good price for lunch. Most of us enjoy their al pastor. I had the taco lunch plate with 2 al pastor, 1 carne asada and 1 carnitas. They are delicious! 4 tacos for lunch and a soda, it’s quite good deal and filling. The place isn’t exactly well air-conditioning so it was pretty warm when we went there during the heat wave.

Went on Sunday 8−24−14 armed with my certificate. Never would have known of its existence otherwise as I have never been along this stretch of road. It’s located on S. State College Blvd., just south of Lincoln, on the right(East) side of the street as you drive north. It’s on a corner with a big sign so you should see it. The Hispanic lady behind the counter greeted me as I entered, and I noticed I was the only non-Hispanic there. Authentico! A loud T.V. mounted on the wall. Authentico again! A sparse selection of tables and chairs. Authentico! A Mexican eating menudo. Double authentico! But was the food authentico? I was to find out YES. Muy bueno. I had the Carnitas plate(I think for $ 7.99) and also ordered a steak breakfast burrito for Monday desayunos($ 4.99). The Carnitas came out on a huge plate with lots of meat and 4 or 5 corn tortillas. So much I couldn’t eat it all. Of course with a traditional Mexican salad of shredded lettuce with guacamole. You get warm tortilla chips while you wait, with hot carrots, sliced radishes and red and/or green hot sauce. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and packed with goodness. About 50 percent larger than an Alberto’s burrito. I didn’t have it for breakfast today(Monday) as I finished my Carnitas and added some stir-fry peppers and onions. The certificate was happily accepted. The food came out quickly. The lady behind the counter was friendly throughout and gave me a large container to-go and some coupons for a future visit. This place is worth driving a few extra miles for I think. You can call for pickup(714) 780‑0380.
