This is a small place and open just for lunch. The meatloaf on Thursday is a favorite. If you order from the steam table you may need to advise the server to make sure your portion sizes are no too much. The fried catfish and chicken are probably the better items on the menu. As the other reviewer noted, do not assume that the interior of the place matches the exterior. If you go plan to make yourself at home, the small dining area lends itself to a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Lunch spot. Co-​worker & I stopped in for lunch. He had the fried chicken & veggies, and I had a home-​made cheeseburger. He said this was some of the best fried chicken, and I was more than pleased with my burger. The place is inside an old gas station, but don’t let that scare you off. They have a small hot buffet or you can order off a menu. This is a home– cooking/​soul food kind of place. We stopped here a few times while in town for a couple of weeks for work. Definitely recommend.
