My favorite place for Indian food! Have been here a couple times with friends and we have never been disappointed. I recommend the chicken or lamb Mansala with Naan, it’s delicious and definately filling. No complaints, hands down one of the best places I’ve been to.

I went with a friend who had a groupon. Ordered the chicken tikka, which was bland, dried out and chewy, and expensive($ 19.95 for chicken cooked with onion/green peppers and naan). The restaurant is dark and dirty and the service was marginal. I won’t be going back… Yak & Yeti or Namaste Shangri-la both have much better food in my opinion.

This has the best chicken Korma ever, they have it down. Great service and yummy naan bread. Don’t judge this place by its cover

The food is not good. Don’t go unless you want to eat Indian in a place like Alaska. PS: I live in California, I expect better taste.

Stopped by for lunch, had the lamb masala and my date had lamb tikka masala with raita, both were excellent. Had a variety of naan, also excellent. Interesting location in an out of the way strip mall but fun.

I really enjoyed the food and the service was spot on an very helpful. I really want to go when they are serving buffet. The lamb curry was all that and sbg of chips.

I love Indian food, and they do a fantastic job. Everything was perfect until the check came. I really feel taken advantage of. Who would think that a chicken tikka masala single serving would be $ 19.95 and garlic naan was $ 5.95?

I got takeout the other day, and didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I ordered medium spicy chicken tikka masala and loved that it was actually spicy. The garlic naan was perfectly done – and pretty garlicky(which I liked, but I could see how someone could think it was too much.) Paying $ 26 for takeout(for chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan) still seems steep to me. As a caveat: it was two meals, but paying nearly $ 20 for a curry is rough. That being said, this is the best indian food I have had in Anchorage so far.

I’m glad I gave this place a second chance. It was definitely worth it. There is an Indian place back home that I keep on a pedestal. I will always compare to them, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I had the aloo gobi which was okay but compared to my other restaurant, not quite as flavorful. I also tried the chicken makhani. It was delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked. The kheer was amazing! So flavorful. I’ve only ordered for delivery so I can’t speak to the actual restaurant décor. The delivery process online was simple and the dishes were delivered timely. I will definitely be ordered again and often.

We went in for lunch on the weekend, and I honestly have no complaints. Their naan is great, and even though the menu items are mid-range, they have substantial flavor and ingredients, and quite a lot of leftovers. We got ours mild, but I’m sure they can burn the house down if you wanted them to. I had their lamb curry, garbanzo bean ‘chana masala’, and tandoori chicken that came out on an impressive sizzling pan. I am also a sucker for high-backed booths. This place has plenty, and that way I don’t have to see or listen to other diners in this cozy place.

Terrible quality food. I’m half Indian and I grew up eating Indian food, and this stuffs just bad. We got the Dahl and it was scorched, completely burned. We told the waiter, and the waiters response was, «Well sometimes things burn in the kitchen.» I proceeded to say«And sometimes the customers don’t pay.» Just bad food, don’t get anything there. A better Indian restraint would be Namestha Shangrila.

Fantastic food and so reasonably priced. The lunch buffet was delicious and included naan, kheer, palaak paneer and chicken tiki masala.

My delivery order took an hour and 20 min to arrive and they forgot half our meal. I called and was appalled how they handled this mishap. I never write reviews but that’s how upset they made me feel after the phone call. BTW they also refused to refund the delivery fee of $ 5(which wasn’t a part of the tip I gave the driver) I know that’s not a lot of money, but I think after that long of a wait and now not having a meal to eat they should have been apologetic not indifferent. I guess they don’t care about their customers.

They have lunch buffet from Monday to Friday. It was bad. Navratnan kurma was just cream made with frozen vegetables. Panner saag was mixed with dal. Weekend we visited for lunch and we ordered malai kofta, bread basket and dal makhani. Much better than stale buffet lunch. Super expensive, veg curries cost $ 12-$ 14. Naan basket costs $ 12. Service is decent.

Very disappointed with the food and service. One of my worst experiences in recent times. I am on vacation in Alaska and was craving some Indian food. Went to this place with my friend as it had some 4 stars. Ordered chicken biriyani, chicken curry, Mango lassi and garlic naan. Lassi was sour, naan was cold and not even cut into pieces. Biriyani was below average. The biriyani and the curry had huge chunks of chicken. It was a disastrous experience.

My boyfriend and I came to Bombay Deluxe for lunch. I ordered the chicken curry(medium spicy) & he ordered the Chefs special w/tandoori chicken(spicy). Not only were the portions larger than most Indian restaurants we’ve visited, but the food was AMAZING! Full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. We will definitely be coming back!

Real food. Good price. Great choice if you have vegetarian friends. Personally, I like the lunch buffet. Parking can be slim though.

Only three stars?! C’mon guys! I say that because… although 3 stars sounds decent… I usually do not go to places that average 3 stars on Unilocal. Why would I when there are so many 4+‘s floating around? To quote Air Force propaganda that I still remember from 4th grade: «AIMHIGH» I’ve only been here for the lunch buffet, and on that it delivers. Here’s what I expect out of an Indian Lunch Buffet: Extremely quick in-and-out, don’t wanna make the boss angry! A variety of dishes Sauces with little ramekins NAAN Here’s what I do not expect: Super-mega fresh food: this is still a buffet, after-all. Super spicy food: this is just a compromise that just must be made. I love my food hotter n’ hell, but most everyone else in the world does not. I can respect that… in this one instance. This place delivers. I was sufficiently full(it’s pretty much shame on me if I’m not, right?), and they had a small but good selection of dishes. What impressed me most was that they had a BROCCOLIMASALA. Why is that a big deal? I’ll tell you: — I’ve never seen such a dish before(note: I care not for authenticity, don’t write me hate mail saying you can’t grow broccoli in India!) — THISISALASKA. Seriously, you gotta get your veggies anytime you see ‘em! There are tons of Vegetarians in Alaska but they all walk on 4 legs and look like goofy, mentally-challenged deer. Have you seen the tomatoes up here? Saddest tomatoes you ever did see. The prices were a bit high but, again, this is Alaska. They were about what they should’ve been for the 49th state. Oh, and I love the ambiance here. I felt like I was Prince Ali — fabulous he — Ali Ababwa! Yes, I know that’s Arabic and not Indian, please refer to my above statement about authenticity. Also: that song has been stuck in my head lately, for no good reason. RIP Robin Williams

Wow, what an explosion of good flavors! My fist time here. I came with my sister, she had a Groupon. We both ordered the Chicken Curry with a side naan. I will most definitely be coming back! Prices were moderate, $ 15.95 a plate. A little on the higher end for me but it was delicious!
