Henri Hawaii Lounge is now under new management and doing much better! Great, fun, exciting enviroment. And they also have live music. Definately recommend checking it out!

Why is this place even open?
Let me explain: My wife and I decided to try it out — always a fun way to get psyched up for an upcoming trip to the Islands — anyway we walked in at about 7pm to find: absolutely NO ATMOSPHERE… I mean no tropical theme — not even a fake palm tree — or anything. And then it got worse… we asked the clueless bartender for a couple of Mai Tai’s She said she was new and didn’t know how to make them… what!!! — I offered to give a lesson but then she found out she didn’t even have any Meyer’s Rum … we left.
This place could be so cool … good location. good parking .
I should think with so many Alaskans going back and forth to Hawaii and Mexico there would be support for a good tropical themed bar. ah but what the heck do I know?

~~~Henri Hawaii’s has unfortunately been closed for over a year now due to an impasse regarding rent between the landlord and the bar. Bummer!~~~

Not quite sure why my last review was filtered, looks like the bar people are flagging anything negative.
As evidenced from this past weekend, the bar is quite dead. Used to be a good bar, but everything has gone to s**t after they got rid of Anna Rae. It was a good dive bar with some great, reasonably cheap prices but even the prices have gone up — way up. Not impressed, they’ve lost this fan, back to the Buck for us!
