Don’t get your hopes up if you are use to a traditional gyro on a spiket. Decided to go with seafood gumbo instead which was out standing. Definitely a nice family run restruant who cares about their customers.

Went in a few weeks ago, and forgot to review. Simply, this place rocks. The chef/owner is making this food with love or making love to the food! It is that good! The service is good and the place is clean. Wish I could transport the restaurant to mountain view so I could have it every day! Keep on cooking man! You are a date destination in our new home.

First time my husband and I have visited Anchorage Alaska. We have been excited about trying fresh seafood so I decided to order the Alaskan Seafood Chowder and it was DELICIOUS! I would only advise the owner to add the corn bread to the meal(I stole my husbands and it the chowder tasted even better!). My husband had the Gyro and it too was amazing! We both loved the Kool-Aid, the music, the ambiance, it took us back to when we were kids! The owner and the staff were so friendly, we felt very comfortable. All was good except both my husband and I did not like the ribs. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing bque and great service. Was worth every bite. I wouldn’t expect such good southern cooking in downtown Alaska but was so glad to have found this place for lunch. No wait, great service and really really good food

Gyros were small, pricey, and so so. I would expect to pay maybe $ 7, but still be disappointed

This is a Ma & Pa shop the food was good. Small portioned for $ 15. I had the Gyro Meal w fries and collard greens. The staff are very friendly. The ambiance of this place is ok as well.

Love the place! New hidden gem for us. Have been there twice, the ribs are totally insane. Gyro is by far the best in town. Would be a sure fire thing for diners, drive-ins and dives! Service may be a little slow, well worth the wait. Would not hesitate to bring out-of-towners here as my favorite local dive.

Best gyros in Anchorage… by far. Quick lunch spot in downtown. Italian sub sandwich and meatball sub are favorites.

Décor is pretty run down. Service was slow as only one employee was working. We had a pretty good Greek salad. Generous helpings of olives, ham, feta and salami. Pizza was hot, but I wouldn’t return for it. Gyro was really good. Very fresh pita, savory meat — delicious.

I did not mean to hit the check in for here at this hour, I only wanted to do a quick review since I promised I would. Please excuse the check in. Anyway, I have been coming here for a couple of years mainly because Jen loves these things and I could go either way with them. I have found that the ingredients are fresh and they are prepared for you on the spot rather than pre made. Tito’s sauce is really good and I think they should bottle it and sell it but that’s another story… they started selling burgers for 5.25 with fries and they honestly do not suck, and although not the biggest burgers around they’re still a pretty good buy for the money. The reviews are touch and go for here, so if you geek like a fresh gyro or a decent burger stop by… you make the call.

The service was not terribly friendly, and my gyro platter, while decent, was horribly overpriced given the quantity offered. I doubt that I will return any time soon.

Absolutely awful. My girlfriend and i came in expecting some cheap and decent sandwiches, and what we got was the COMPLETEOPPOSITE. We ordered a gyro«platter», which was such in name only. they brought out a pretty medium sized mediocre one that cost 11 bucks! My girlfriend ordered a sausage and pepper sub. The peppers weren’t cooked all the way, and the sausage was just one regular sausage cut in small pieces to fill the whole sandwich! it was drenched in a really bland red sauce(tasted like hunts canned tomatoe sauce!) and cost 10BUCKS! to boot the service was TERRIBLE. The waitress acted like we were putting her out. It was Lunch time on a wednesday and we were the only people in there. NEVER eat at this place!
