Somebody’s Place

Great food and take out — quick service !! We ordered the egg sandwiches– I got the house special but it had mushrooms so I couldn’t get it and you can’t customize it — bummer!!! The donuts look amazing and they are homemade $ 1.95 each but hopefully worth the cost.

Its location is great right on Andover street and pretty convenient for picking up a donut on the go. The malassadas are quite tasty and reminiscent of the donuts I’d eat growing up in Puerto Rico. They have a more expansive food menu which is only available on weekends but on week days you can still order breakfast sandwiches. One thing that sets this place apart is definitely that they offer you chorizo as an option to put in your breakfast sandwich. Greasy? yes. Tasty? definitely. I want to give Somebody’s Place 3.5 stars because it’s not a place I see myself going back to anytime soon but if I’ve missed breakfast but have to hit the road, Somebody’s Place is a better option than DD.

Haven’t been able to try a warm Malasada donut yet — I was too late when I went in last week. However, I can’t wait! Have heard great things.

Stopped by based on seeing that they opened on Facebook and also recommendation from a friend that I «must try» their donuts.
Picked up a malasada doughnut (their specialty) and a cinnamon sugar doughnut along with an iced coffee (total around $ 7). The young man who served took me order was very patient and friendly as I salivated over the warm case displaying the donuts. The owner was also there and greeted me with a very warm, welcoming hello and smile.
The malasada donut made it to the car but not without a bite before arriving at my next destination. I saved half for a friend to try and she thought it was fabulous too. A crisp layer on the outside dusted with sugar, light and fluffy on the inside with a distinct flavor which we could not pinpoint (almond??) but loved! Not too sweet either and warm!
I saved the cinnamon sugar for another friend who thought it was terrific but I’m sure it would have been better warm!
The iced coffee was also to my liking, not too strong! I’ll be back and look forward to trying lunch… and a donut, of course!
Friendly customer service, great product, reasonable prices and accuracy will always earn stars from me!

We got to sample some of the menu items they will be offering.
Everything was made with fresh ingredients.
The owner’s David and Erin were on site.
They were both friendly and courteous and sincerely interested in our opinions.
Thankfully we’ll finally have a local restaurant with quality food.
Can’t wait to go back again!
