This place was really difficult to find the first time, but now we know. The entry fee was reasonable(even for a bunch of us) and my preschooler ended up really enjoying the small vehicles(plastic motorcycle, Plasmacar, etc.) behind the little kids’ bounce area, that bounce area itself, the«big» bounce area(where I could go in with her), and the interesting place where the computer beams interactive, ever-changing games onto the floor. She also liked looking at the décor for the miniature golf and kicking and tossing the balls in the giant«billiard table.» I understand about the wacky lighting throughout the place adding to the«fun» and the atmosphere(and hiding the fact that we’re basically in a warehouse) but it made my preschooler nervous and she almost refused to remove her shoes and venture around to play. In my opinion the lighting should be dispensed with, also because it was just too darn dark at times. And, I had to stand aside with my small kid while teenagers picked up the balls in the big bounce area and beaned each other as hard as they could with them. What a pain in the a$%.(These same teens tried to get into the little kids’ bounce area which is labelled as 5ANDUNDER.) It would be nice to have employees standing by more obviously to stop behavior like this, behavior that ruins it for the little ones. It’s socks only inside and other reviewers are right that each person should wear multiple layers of them because sheesh the floor was cold. I still give four stars because since going there, my child hasn’t stopped asking when we’ll return to «barrel of monkeys.» And that’s the review that’s important!

Every time we come to Angels Camp we have to come here at least once! So much fun for kids of all ages, you only pay for the kids and you can stay all day instead of a 1.5 hour session like most places. They also allow outside food in their dining area, but also sell some snacks. Only wish we had one near where we live! The hours change weekly, depending on parties, so call ahead or check the website, but no matter what, try it at lease once, your kids will thank you! Enjoy!

We took our kids to barrel of monkeez and am so glad we did. It’s an awesome place filled with activities and some of the biggest bouncy houses I’ve ever seen. The owner was very friendly and our family a wonderful time. We will definitely return next time we’re in angels camp.

I brought my special education class here for a daylong field trip. It was absolutely fantastic. The kids ranged in age from 5 to 12 years old all had a wonderful time. There was never a dull moment! The owner, Jennifer, was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this as a spot for anybody who loves to watch their kids have fun. And it didn’t hurt that I got to do the bounce house! At 52 years old, this was my first time and I had a blast! Even if you are from out of town, you can’t beat the price for a day of fun. I highly recommend Barrel of Monkeez to anybody who wants to have a great time. It is a clean, fun place to take the family, the class, the cousins, the birthday party! Don’t miss out on the fun!!!

Ton of fun for the whole family. Went with kids, 5 years old and 12, plus a nephew of 20. We(adults and kids) played laser tag, mini golf, and spent lots of time in the bounce houses. We played for over 3 hours there for $ 37. Took a quick break for lunch which we brought. Lady who owns it with her husband was very friendly and helpful. Love this place.

I came in a while back with my two brothers and a friend. We were looking for something fun to do on a dreary wintery day and had heard that they had a mini golf course. We walked in to find extremely rude staff who seemed appalled that we would dare offer them our business. They then refused us service because my parents were not there to supervise my 15 year old brother as he played mini golf. Disgusted with the way we were treated. Will not go back. Will not recommend this establishment to anyone else.

this is such a great idea! I was able to chat with the owner for a bit and got to know the history of this place. Kids really do inspire us! This was a great find while on our weekend get away in angels camp. It’s great if you have little ones and want to avoid cabin fever. Bring the cash, bring the double socks and get ready for some disco magic.

Found Barrel of Monkeez via the visitors center in Angels camp. A hidden gem indeed for parents with kids. My 4 year old had a blast dancing under the lights, mini golfing, lazer tag with mommy. Bouncing around in the bounce house. He even picked up the courage to be a bowling ball and roll down and knock down some balls.(The blow up ball that you sit, roll, stand in), He talked about it all the way back to our timeshare in Arnold. His last words before he went to bed tonight was, When can we go back mommy? We will definitely be going back. Thanks Barrel of Monkeez!

We were on a trip to Angels Camp for a week and decided to spend an afternoon at Barrel of Monkeez with our two daughters(5 and 10). We had a great time. Mini golf, human hamster bowling, inflatables, karaōke, dancing, laser tag, plasma car thingys — we probably spent over three hours there. My wife and I played a bit — and then sat back and read books on our iPads while the girls were greatly entertained(kinda dark, so if you’re going to read, better have something that lights up). This is a great area for an outdoors vacation. But you can only visit so many old gold mining towns and once you’ve seen one cave… This was a welcome break for our kids who were looking to just be kids for the day. Another thing I loved? Everything is physical at Barrel of Monkeez. There are no video games. I’m kind of tired of that arcade vibe at every family entertainment place. This isn’t a Chuck E Cheese or Dave and Busters. It’s just a very creative, fun for everyone venue that we’ll make sure we frequent every time we’re in town.

Call ahead to make sure they’re open. Took my boys there(2&4) right when they opened at 11am during the week and it was very chilly inside! I recommend coming about an hour after they open to let the place warm up and wear double socks since the cement floors can be cold. We had a fun time overall. My 4 year old loved the Laser Tag game! There was a bouncy house for toddlers and one for older kids, so the separation was nice. The mini golf was fun. No bathrooms inside(only outside), but they do have a diaper changing station(not private) inside. Just a fun place to take your kids for a few hours. :)

I took my 2 grandsons, age 9 and 10, to this indoor amusement park. We had a great time. The boys played from 11 to 12:30, then we came back and they played from 3:30 to 7. They got tons of exercise, laughed a lot and we spent a fraction of what other amusement parks charge. It would be a great place for my 2, 4 and 5 year old granddaughters which I’ll make sure to bring the next time. There are picnic tables, your can bring your own food, or they have simple foods for you to buy there.

BOM is awesome!. The atmosphere is so creative. There are so many activities for all ages. The kids will have blast and so will the adults. It is very reasonable for all BOM has to offer. It is also a great place to have a birthday party, school function or corporate event. The owners have thought of everything to make this the perfect family entertainment center. Every time we visit we have a lot of fun!
