Rusted Shovel Garden & Gifts

After visiting this shop, I’m so ready for spring, summer, and the beach; or even gardening and umbrella drinks. Maybe all of the above.
Rusted Shovel was ready. The shop felt like spring and summer from the moment I walked in. I could mentally feel the sand between my toes. There are some cute Girlie Girl and Simply Southern t-​shirts in bright colors or phrases celebrating the south. And, with a t-​shirt purchase, comes a free pair of flip-​flops. It’s hard to go wrong with that. What a way to kick off the season. But that isn’t all. The other half of the front room has garden items, both cute and unusual, from the tiny bird houses/​bird feeders, to the owl decorations and the wall hangings celebrating our four legged friends.
The back room has handbags, candles, soaps and shea butter lotions and fragrances. Many of them are made in North Carolina. For someone wanting to special-​order a personal design, there’s an embroidery machine and some solid color t-​shirts on site.
Rusted Shovel is a perfectly charming store to get ready for the changing seasons. It’s an affirmation that not all good things are only found in the big towns and cities.
