Abbott’s has a lot of variety in a relatively small space. If you are looking for veggie starts, they have a basic selection. But mainly I know them for ornamental garden items such as: annual flowers, garden ornaments, fairy garden supplies, shrubs & trees.
Yes, their prices are higher than a big box store, but have you noticed that the plants at a big box store get less and less attractive the longer they are neglected? Everything at Abbott’s (including trees) is well watered, so it’s very likely that the roots are still in very good condition and that the plant is not under a lot of stress before you plant it in your yard.
If you need a particular thing, call before you hop in the car. They have a decent inventory system, in my experience. They know where to look, unless you want the fun of discovering it on your own.

I was very pleased with the service. The reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 was because they didn’t have the indoor tree I was looking for. But the service was very, very good. The person I dealt with was very knowledgable and very gracious about sending us to a nursery that did have a bigger indoor plant selection. Abbott’s carries more of an outdoor-​type of stock. Perhaps that’s why it’s called Abbott’s Landscape Nursery!

I have purchased many plants here over many years. I won’t go back. A few months ago I called to ask if they would stock a certain kind of fruit tree in the spring. They said yes and would call me when it came in. They never called so I did, and now they’re sold out. What a waste of time. Worse, they are unpleasant, downright brusk. I now realize I kept going back to this place because they are located relatively close to me. Now I will travel a little further to find lower prices and better customer service. I advise you to do likewise.

This is a great family-​run business. They have everything you might want, and great service too!
It’s a beautifully laid out nursery with very quality plants and knowledgeable staff.
It might be 10% more than some places and 15% more than the big-​box stores, but the quality and service is unbeatable.
