Kat Ku came over for a consultation prior to the photo session. She told us what to expect during the photo session with our 3 fur babies as well as what time of day would be best to capture the look we wanted. Kat was able to capture each of them individually as well as all of us together! We couldn’t have been happier with the way the photos turned out. I only wish we could afford to buy them all!!!

Kat is awesome! I scheduled a photo shoot with her and my puppy, Rufio. Pet photography sounded so strange to me at first, and I had no idea what to expect. Kat was very professional though and walked me through what to expect in the consultation. The photo session itself was fun! We met at a local park on a nice day and basically played with my dog for an hour while she took pictures. We later switched locations because she knew that the lighting would be better down the street. Kat is very dedicated to getting the very best photographs, and it definitely shows in her work. The finished product turned out great! I highly recommend Kat Ku Photography to any pet owner in or around Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit.

I had been looking for a pet photographer for about two years prior to meeting Kat. However, no matter what, it just seemed I couldn’t put my faith in anyone to take the cherished pictures I desired of my English Cream Golden Retrievers. I was attending the Ann Arbor Pet Fest and that’s where I met Kat. As soon as I saw the examples of work she had displayed, I knew she was the one to take those pictures I desired of my Goldens.

I appreciated the way Kat called us in advance before the photo shoot and did an interview with us asking a variety of questions about our pups – what kind of photos we were looking for, made suggestions, and answered any questions we had. The interview helped us get to know each other.
I wanted a Fall outdoor setting for the photos. Kat took us to Nichol’s Arboretum in Ann Arbor, MI. This place was very beautiful; it was such a unique place to let the pups run freely so she could get some candid and posed shots. Kat was GREAT with our dogs. She was able to hold their attention as well as get those shots where they were being their playful selves. You can tell she loves her job and animals.
The photos Kat took of our Goldens were truly AMAZING!!! She captured the true spirit of our pups in her photography. It was difficult to choose between all the fun photos she took. I have to say she showed immense patience with me because it took me a very long time to decide what photos I wanted, but she was always kind and never rushed me to choose or order. In the long run, we are so happy with the products we ordered from Kat’s session. These photos will be cherished for a very long time to come.
If you are anything like me, very picky when it comes to your pets, and you want the best possible photos of your beloved pets –you know the ones that you just can’t seem to get with your own camera no matter how hard you try – I highly recommend Kat Ku to do your pet photography. You will NOT be disappointed. I wasn’t.
