No pressure, no attitude, no snobbery, very helpful, always willing to set up equipment to audition. If you’re on a budget, some patient frequenting of the basement consignment room can get you a great setup. It’s a little shop of audio wonders.

This is what a hif-​fi store should be – from selection to service. I am sad that I live to far to frequent as often as I like. Highly recommended!

A world-​class Hi-​Fi shop. I’ve been friends with the owner, Keith Moorman, since we sold gear together in the 1980s at Absolute Sound Inc. in Ann Arbor.
You will be treated like a customer should. There is great attention to detail at this shop, with the focus on integrating an entire Hi-​Fi system that allows for enjoyment of the music, and not the gear itself. No B.S.

I really like the guys at Overture, and the store is evidence of their dedication to good sound at a wide variety of prices. They carry both budget and high-​end brands, and new and used equipment. More importantly, however, they are helpful and direct, and don’t try to push you to solutions that don’t fit your budget or needs. They are clearly passionate about hi-​fi sound, and want you to enjoy it as well.
Their main speaker selection is Paradigm, which is well-​known for providing some of the best bang-​for-​the-​buck out there, along with other highly-​regarded budget-​oriented brands like NAD amplifiers and CD players, and Rega turntables. Of course, they carry some much higher end brands, but this is a great store to build a fantastic sounding system on a budget.
My fiancée and I recently got some used Paradigm speakers there, and they had them set up for us in a listening room to give them a test, and let us listen for as long as we wanted. They even let me borrow some speaker cables to test out the differences between what I was using and what they were at the store. I’ve also purchased a turntable cartridge there, and their installation was included in the purchase price, incredibly fast and most importantly sounds fantastic!
Overture Audio is the kind of hi-​fi store you want to come back to for all your hi-​fi purchases. Highly recommended.
