I love Running Fit! The staff are always so kind and helpful, and it’s a candy store for runners. So many things I want to buy.

I made the drive from Dearborn heights to Ann Arbor on graduation weekend! What the heck was I thinking. My first stop was this location to check out the sale items. As a very new runner I am basically clueless on brands etc but I loved the folks here. They got me in a great jacket for that evenings run along the Detroit river. I feel like I stole it. A $ 109 jacket for $ 35! My kind of sale. The staff were knowledgable, fun, and totally non judgmental. I wanted one particular item but they didn’t have it in my size. They offered to call the others stores and found one at the downtown location. With directions in hand off I went to traverse the downtown traffic on graduation Friday. Ouch. Lol all in all, a great experience. I’ll be back.

I love this place. It’s right off 94 which makes it convenient(although I can and do walk/ride from my house). The staff are all runners which is a good thing in a place like this. And I love that they don’t judge. I don’t look like a runner but I run. Sort of. And they never make me feel weird about the fact that I totally don’t look like I’m in their club. I have horrible run when I run and while I’m aware of it and working on it, it causes some pretty awful aches and pains. I was directed to shoes that would soften the blow and given a ton of time and attention(something a newbie runner like me needed when preparing for my first half marathon). While my shopping companion didn’t get my aversion to white sneakers(what the rest of the world calls what you Michiganders refer to as «tennis shoes») the guy at the shop got it and understood the underlying issue that I’m so neurotic that I’d probably run less in white shoes. He helped me pick out two colorful pairs instead. That’s dedication because I am ridiculous when I shop. They offer group runs that I’m not ready for(slow as can be) and clinics and support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society… can’t beat that!

Loved my experience here! I needed new running shoes and presented employee Dan with a laundry list of issues/requirements that he seemed happy to address. He spent a good 30 – 40 minutes with me, pointing out the advantages of each type of shoe and picking different sizes/widths for a better fit. He was also up front with the differences in price among the shoes I was considering, which I appreciated. I left with a fantastic pair that I’m really excited to use. The store is easy to find and roomy, with lots of merchandise. There’s also a treadmill if you want to take a pair of shoes for a spin. Best of all, they’ll take returns even if you decide after some light use that your shoes aren’t a good fit after all.

They’re so knowledgeable! Get the digital foot test thing, I knew I over-pronated but it turned out I didn’t need the super stability of the Brooks Addiction line and was able to get a slightly less bulky pair of Asics, they feel like running on air and I can’t be more thankful.

A friend referred me to this store. I had an order from my doctor and physical therapist to get running shoes for my plantar fasciitis. As an overweight woman, who hasn’t done any running or jogging since I was in high school, I felt very self conscious about going into a running store. The woman who helped me was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She watched me walk, looked at my doctors note, and had me try on several different pairs of shoes. I noticed an immediate improvement in my pain. I’ve gone back several times to get inserts for my dress shoes and snow boots. The service is good, very friendly and laid back staff. I’m not a runner so I can’t attest to the clothes or what not, but I will definitely be buying my gym shoes from them from now on.

I was referred here by a friend, who told me that the store had a *machine* you could stand on which looked at your feet to determine what you needed in a running shoe. I switched a few months back from my trusty Asics to New Balance, and have been not happy since, so I decided to venture in and see what they thought. The store has a large selection of clothing as well for both running and tris, some electronics(GPS, etc.) and some food(energy bars, etc.). Anyway. I was not greeted immediately upon entering the store and was actually not greeted until I entered the shoe section of the store. Which was fine, but would annoy some people. I found a clearance rack full of my size in tanks and grabbed three to buy. Nike tanks are pricey and these were a fab deal. wish they would have had shorts in my size on that rack, as I am not paying full price for running shorts… Anyway, the guy in the shoe section, chris, watched how I walked, had me stand on the machine(hello high arches!) and suggested some Asics. I ended up with a pair that was simply the newer version of an old shoe I had. Loving them so far, not hurting my feet one iota, no breakin time needed. I would go back to this store for sure. Very nice employees, great selection.
