I am writing to review American Professional Services carpet cleaning(based in Falls Church but with a DC number(202−499−4429)). I bought an amazon voucher for 3 rooms carpet cleaning. It was for steam cleaning. I called and made an appointment and asked if there were any other fees. The woman said no. My appointment window was from 9am-12pm on a work day. I called at 9am and asked if I could get more specificity; the person who answered the phone said he would call the tech and get back to me. He never did. Finally, she showed up right at noon and did an inspection of my carpet and said she recommends a «deep cleaning» which would range from $ 90-$ 160 more(on top of what I payed for the voucher). I absolutely hate bate and switch, and I said I would think about it, but would appreciate her to still do the steam clean I already paid for and had an appointment for. At that point, she refused. She said she was not comfortable doing the service I had booked. Why do they sell a voucher for a service they refuse to do? I think the reason is that they never intend to do that service. they just bait people into waiting around all day, letting them into their home, and then switching to a much more expensive service. It leaves a terrible taste in a customer’s mouth. If you sell a voucher for a service, DOTHATSERVICE. I refused to give in and now have wasted my time and my carpets are still not cleaned. But I am telling everyone I can about the shady business practices of American Professional Services.
