I have used this store a couple times now for watch repair and have always been very happy. They have replaced batteries, cleaned and fixed bands. Today, I took a watch in because the latch on the band kept popping open. The gentleman was able to do a minor repair and refused to charge me. He quoted me the cost of a new latch if this repair doesn’t work long term. I appreciate the customer service, kindness, and information on additional repairs. I will continue to use this store and recommend it highly to others!

Took in my new Citizen watch to be sized. Fast, efficient work by competent and polite, if not overly friendly, folk. Looked at the watch selection as I’m also in the market for a dress watch, but found their options rather limited. Would have liked to see more brands represented. Too bad; I’d rather my money go to an independent shop like this than a big name store.

My Experience You Decide: After checking reviews I had this shop replace 5 watch batteries and returned a week later(June 26th) to replace 3 more watch batteries. I was informed that of the 3 watches one needed cleaning because the battery had leaked. While the watch in question remained out of sight, nothing shown to me within the case to justify the alleged issue with it, I was told it would cost $ 120 to get it cleaned. I declined and asked for the watch back but wasn’t shown the leaking battery or leakage to the mechanism. I would need the battery number to find a replacement but the battery was not returned. It was not marked on the case. I called Bulova and got the battery number and located a battery which I installed myself after seeing no battery leakage and a pristine quartz assembly inside. The watch worked perfectly. I called the shop and spoke to the woman there who remembered the watch saying it would be a 3 – 4 week wait for the cleaning but who hung up on me after I presented the issues. I called again to speak to the watch repairman who remembered the watch saying the battery leaked on the mechanism. I countered saying I was not shown the battery or the internals but when I examined the watch afterwards at home the mechanism within was pristine and it appeared it only needed a battery. He held to his findings saying he was the professional and I was not qualified and I didn’t know how long the watch would work. I had a few more words with him and he told me to take my business somewhere else. The watch is working perfectly with the battery I installed and I am not the professional.

I went in to get a new battery for a Casio divers watch where I was told it would cost $ 15.90. I was very surprised and declined to continue with the replacement. I then went to Shammas Jewelers in Burke where they charged me $ 3.18 to replace a 1.5v battery. Not only were they very friendly, I was told that my battery was covered(and would be replaced) if the watch stopped working in less than six months. I’m all about supporting the small business but not if I feel like I’m being overcharged. This rating is not for the service but the cost they were charging.

I needed the battery in my watch replaced. They did it quickly and for a very reasonable price. They were nice to me and to other patrons, one who was there shopping when I arrived and one who came in after me. In general, a place I will use in the future and recommend to others.

Went in today for a simple link removal on a new watch. They took my watch right away and after a few adjustments to the watch I was out of there in 10 minutes. Also have a really good selection of new and old watches. Will definitely be back again

I came back there 2nd time to change a watch battery after a couple months. I asked for a better quality battery that can last longer than couple months. The guy gave me lectures how cheap he charged to change the battery and the store didn’t make money out of doing that. He always jumped in when I was talking so I asked for the manager and he claimed he is THEOWNER. He said«you can talk to the manager but I AMTHEOWNER, MYNAMEISMANULUABUN.» I guess he doesn’t want to serve any local customers like me.

Sensory overload was flooding when I first stepped foot into this Annandale spot. When I walked in to get a watch battery switched I was bombarded by clocks on the left and watches on the right that line the walls; these guys take time seriously. No fancy décor necessary, just lots of faces and hands. It took 5 minutes to stroll the 15 feet to the front counter as my eyes wandered. Some of the clocks for sale were hanging, but the more interesting types were standing with unique woodwork and design. I can’t speak much to how affordable their prices are but I noticed name brands like Seth Thomas as well as more individually crafted ones. For watches, there were some very antique(y) watches that were vintage 40’s and 50’s, monocles. as well as a decent selection of contemporary styles. Also a very large kiosk of different watch bands. They switched my watch battery for $ 7.50– not bad. Great place for an odd find and eclectic taste, although it doesn’t excel in your mainstream styles.
