Located in the Festival at Riva Shopping Center, this is an odd kinda of grocery store to me. When you walk in the entrance it definitely has that old, dirty floor grocery store feel to it. Yet, when you walk down past the cash registers it looks beautifully renovated with a fresh market feel to it. Compared to their competitors, such as Safeway or Shoppers, Giant’s stores feel very cramped to me. Their isles are jammed packed, whereas Safeway especially has tons more walking room for a great customer experience. It helps when your not running into fellow customers every 5 seconds. I came here today because I am a sucker for a coupon. They sent me $ 5 off any purchase of $ 15 or more in the mail. Actually, a pretty sweet deal! Got a bottle of Drano, 2 Crest Whitening toothpaste, and 2 jugs of sweet tea Snapple for $ 11.24 with my coupon. Let me add this tidbit as well. Customer service here was off the hook, 3 different employees asked me if there was anything they could help me find. Giant is certainly not the worst Grocery store I’ve ever been to. I just think they can update their look a little more, as well as extend space in their isles if they want to win over more customers including myself!

I love our Giant! This one is pretty good and laid out very easy to find stuff. The selection is good and the store is clean. I like the staff as well as they are very friendly. I have not had the experience Tedra had with moldy bread, but I will be looking closer from now on. I also get gas points for going here, so when I shop here and use my loyalty card, I also use it at Shell and get 20 cents off gas frequently. The veggies are good selection as well and it seems they are growing out the organic/naturals section. The meats look good and occasionally I get some when we do eat it(but I usually go to Whole Foods for meat — it’s a trust issue). The pharmacy is also fast and easy to use. The deli has some great selection and also do up some good trays you can order right on line. They also have the check your self out lines which I love especially when I only have a few items.

I prefer this Giant at Festival over the one in Bay Ridge. It has a larger selection and the staff seems to be much friendlier and less stressed. I am a big fan of the pharmacy. They are managed well and the pharmacists and staff remembers me by name!
