Horrible. If I can give less than one star I would. Went to see a live music show. Couldn’t believe half the seats offer side stage, behind stage, or obstructed view by poles. I wouldn’t pay again for the seat I have. Not interested in seeing the performers back all show. Ordered o root beer float. Ice cream was terrible. No WiFi acces. Host walked away from us when escort to table. Parking is horrendous. Keep your money in your pocket

The service at the show tonight was ABSOLUTELY non-existent. We spend a lot of money coming to shows here & tonight’s server was the worst. We were seated at table 101. No one approached us for an order until over 30 minutes into the show. The server had to be flagged down, and was just not good. The show with Lee Ritenour was great, but you need to find some good service staff.

Always a fun, enjoyable experience here. We so prefer this venue over«megavenues»; no comparison. Been here maybe 6 times in the past year or so w/o any complaints(re venue, shows, sound volume, food/beverage, staff, etc.) We’ve enjoyed a variety of concerts at RHOS and the stellar experiences at RHOS are always the highlight of our visits to Annapolis(1−1÷12 hours away). A huge asset to the RHOS organization is Jeanne Agnew. She’s a facilitator/troubleshooter extraordinaire who has quickly resolved electronic reservation/ticketing glitches, show time discrepancies, performance package questions/scheduling, etc.; always patient, pleasant and a great RHOS representative.

I’m updating my review from earlier today. Ram’s Head decided to cancel the show and reschedule, and refund if you can’t come to the new date. I got a phone call and 3 emails so they are doing a great job of letting know about the cancellation. posted earlier today: Bought tickets on 8÷24÷14 to see a show tonight(3÷5÷15) — so you can see I was VERY interested in seeing this band! 13 inches of snow so far pretty much guarantees I won’t be able to make it tonight(Plus I live 1 hr 20 mins away). I called to see if the show was still on and let them know I could not attend. They said it is on, it won’t be canceled, and«sorry» I can’t make it but they don’t offer refunds unless the artist. I don’t expect Ram’s Head to refund people who found better things to do but schools, businesses, and even the government shut down today due to the hazardous weather conditions. Not getting a refund or credit for inclement weather guarantees I won’t be visiting this venue in the future. I’m out $ 75.90. Just a warning that winter shows might not be the best to purchase in advance, maybe wait to buy tix at the door.

Excellent place for a nice evening. I had won tickets thru Unilocal to see Eric Benet. This was my first time coming to this place so I didn’t know what to expect. As soon as I entered box office was right to the right. Picking up tickets that were at will call was very easy. The asked to see my id and I was on my way. Nice seating. I was at table 201 great seat. The place seemed to be a perfect place for a first date. I would have given this place 5 stars but, I had to take away a star for the food because it simply was not the answer. I would suggest eating prior to seeing the show. The drink I had was just ok. I would surely go back to this place to see another show. I really enjoyed myself.

When you go to a comedy show, you want to pay attention to the comic and not worry about your drink order, I guess the Rams Head doesn’t agree with me on this. Having to send back drinks(I don’t think a white russian should taste of licorice), bother the staff to get silverware, and sending back over cooked food made this visit unpleasant. The comedy show was great, though having seats off to the side of the stage was a bit odd(not sure why there are so many seats off to the side). It is a shame that poor table service will make me question whether I want to come back, I am thankful I actually had dinner before the show. If there is someone you really want to see here, go for it, but you might want to bring your own supplies when you go, the table service is close to self serve.

We enjoy this venue. Small, intimate. Make sure that you get a table that is not blocked by a pole. My honey loves their gin martini(she always catches a nice buzz from it). We rarely get food but we did get the veg wrap the other night and it was pretty good. I’ve had the root beer float in the past and it was good, too.(Admittedly, you can’t really mess up a root beer float.) Truly, a nice place to see/hear a concert.

wow. great music, excruciatingly bad food. love the venue for music shows, but eat before you go. I had the ahi tacos and it was flavorless, undercooked, and a waste of money. we had coffee after the show — the waitress said ‘it’s not terrible’- and it was ok. the key lime pie, oy. it tasted processed. very, very disappointing food once again. go for the music, not for the food.

My wife and I went here for the first time yesterday. The food was great, and you can’t beat the $ 2.75 happy hour draughts, or the free wings that come with the drink orders. Can’t wait for another stop in Annapolis, we will certainly stop here!

I think this would actually be a 3.5 star, but I’ll give it 4 because of the live music, and that is always a plus. Went to RH-On-Stage for a show for the first time last night, and came away fairly impressed. It is a wonderful site for a small, intimate performance. Pretty much from any table(yes, you get tables, not stadium seating) you have a decent view of the stage, and the artists look life size. The sound and service were fantastic, and the show I caught(Night Ranger-Acoustic) was amazing. There are a few cons admittedly. The first is Bar Pricing on drinks, but that is to be expected. The seating is a little crowded and tight — not quite as bad as sardines, but there isn’t much room either(other than the aisles for the servers). Also, there are a number of poles(for building/ceiling support) but they can also obstruct the view from a number of seats. I think an experience here could range from 5 star(if you are quick enough to get center stage or at least an unobstructed view) to 3(depending on how much your view is obstructed). All in all, it was an enjoyable place, and if there is an artist I like there, I’d go back again. The Performance package(done in conjunction with the RH Restaurant is worth it, as you get 10% off your meal, discounted parking at a particular garage, escorted to your seats(by the wait staff) and a beer after the show(if so inclined).

This is a mixed review over to consecutive nights. This is a great, smallish room to see a concert, if you have an OK seat. We saw the band’s backsides, but were very close. I’m not sure how good of an experience the folks at the far back of the room have. The beer was good, the food average, but not overpriced. The service, however, was incredibly poor the first night. The waiter basically asked us if we wanted something as we were sitting down(not kidding, and we were one of the first there), and then disappeared for 28 minutes. When he finally came back out of hiding, it looked like sat down to do a crossword puzzle. When I finally managed to get his attention, he seemed uninterested and didn’t respond when I gave the order(no «OK» or «Got it» or «Anything else» — just a blank stare). Night two, the service was much better. The waitress was kind enough to make me an iced coffee when it’s not on their menu(so simple — just pour some coffee over ice — I wanted caffeine, but not hot), and was much more attentive than the man the first night. I do like this venue, but it isn’t without issues.

Came here to see Robert Glasper and Eric Benet on two separate occasions. The performances were great. The atmosphere was awesome and very intimate(the tables are so small you are literally sitting next to everyone). They have drink, appetizer and dessert specials everyday I guess. The drinks and desserts were impressive but I hope they change the layout. Great place to go for a night out in Annapolis. We parked in the parking lot across the street(no street parking). Buy tickets in advance so you can get seats close to the stage.

3.5 stars It’s not often that one gets to see a legend in concert, and even rarer to see one so close that you can reach out and touch the legend. No, I’m not reviewing the legend, but the venue that made this possible. I headed over to the Rams Head to see John Mayall. It was an 8 o’clock show, so I arrived around 7:30 and picked up my tickets at will call. Before I went into the concert area, I went to the ladies room in the restaurant; I mention this because the bathroom was very clean. Niiiice. I went to the concert area entrance, and the doorman took my ticket and handed me over to a hostess who showed me to my assigned seat. I was about three feet from the stage, in the second«row» of tables. I checked out the menu and waited in my uncomfortable chair for the waitress. Now, The Ol’ Mangaretta hadn’t eaten that day, so I was rather famished at 7:45 at night. I was disappointed that the menu was limited and didn’t really have gluten-free options. Why would the venue have a limited menu when it’s connected to a restaurant? Reluctantly, I ordered spinach dip. The dip was just okay and probably on par with TGIFridays – you know, edible but nothing spectacular. The show actually started almost on time, and the legendary Mayall and crew played for about an hour and 15 minutes. Mind you, there was only one show that night. Short show, Rams Head? Unfortunately, about 20 minutes into the show, Smelly Guy(what took you so long?) came and sat down next to me. Crap. I was hoping he’d forget the show was tonight and my nose would have a break. He kept breathing on me, too. Yes, the seating is that tight; otherwise, Smelly Guy wouldn’t have bothered me or my nose very much, and I’d have been able to stretch my legs. The waitress checked on me once during the show and promptly brought me my check about 10 minutes before the show ended. I wanted another beverage, but didn’t have a chance to order. It’s not exactly the type of place where you can linger after the show. Overall, it was a decent concert experience, but not exactly how Rams Head says that it can be: a great, comfortable place to have dinner and drinks and enjoy shows. Rather, it’s a cramped space where you might be lucky to have a great seat or a seat with an obstructed view from the posts, with average food from a severely limited menu, though the food comes from the restaurant. So, 3.5 stars for a clean concert space and surroundings, and polite staff, and minus 1.5 stars for a limited menu, spotty service, and tight spaces with partially obstructed views where you’ll notice that you’re sitting next to Smelly Guy. Who breathes on you.

Rams head always has great music acts. I love that you can interact up close and personal with the performers. But it’s soo cramped and uncomfortable. It seems that they shoved the maximum about of tables and chairs and possible into this place. The food is average at it’s best. The drinks are usually very overpriced. I usually have dinner before somewhere better and come to Rams Head for the shows.

I LOVE this venue. It’s located in Annapolis and retains a lot of the charm of the city. This is a very intimate venue and so it works well with solo and acoustic acts. You can pick the seats where you sit at so if you buy tickets early in advance, you can score some great seats(I once got the table literally in front of the stage, which was pretty awesome). In addition, as you sit at your table, servers come around to ask for your drink or food order. You’d think that since they walk around during the performance that it’d affect the show, but they’ve got the serving thing down. You hardly notice them as they’re very discrete. The food and drink is solid, though nothing special. Sound is pretty solid. Nothing to complain about here. Definitely a great venue and I’ll be sure to come back.

This is a great venue for small shows and acts. I really like that no matter where you sit, you’ve still got a great view of the stage. Food wise — the Ram’s Head restaurant is pretty solid. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s not bad either. Truthfully, there are better places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance, but they do offer a 10% discount on your meal if you’re eating there and are waiting to see a show. I had the Shrimp Po-Boy, which is a bit different than what I am accustomed to from down along the Gulf Coast, but it was still pretty tasty. I think the shrimp could have used a bit more seasoning and they really loaded the sandwich down with a lot of cheese, which I wasn’t all that thrilled about. You can’t beat the outdoor patio seating though in the summertime.

For live music, you really can’t get any better than Rams Head. I’ve been there several times, and although have often had seats that weren’t really close to the stage, I’ve never really had a bad seat. They have a wide range of acts from comedy performers to local artists to national recording stars, and ticket prices vary just as widely. Most performances are 21& up, but some are«any age matinée» performances… just be sure to check before you buy ticketes for anyone under 21. Last night I was front and center for Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and although my ears are still ringing, it was the best show I’ve seen there yet! But I’m not here to review the act, so on to Rams Head. If you buy tickets to a show, you automatically get their«concert package», which gives you 10% off your dinner, discounted parking, and a free beer if you want to have dinner either before or after the show… reservations ARE required for this, so don’t walk in expecting to get the discount. The box office is easily accessible, and with their online ticketing you can skip the box office altogether if you want to. Friendly staff escort you to your table, and the servers come around to get your order pretty quickly IF you’re one of the earlier ones to be seated. But if you come close to show time, be prepared for a wait. They offer a limited menu of food but have a somewhat decent wine/beer list. The food is OK, nothing stellar, reasonably priced, but you don’t really come to the On-Stage side for the food anyway. For this particular performance(which sold out for both nights), they added some extra seating which made things a bit more crowded than I would have liked. I also think they needed to ramp up their staffing knowing how busy they would be, as the servers were swamped and really unable to keep up well with the demand. They weren’t able to check back to see if you needed anything, it was hard to get their attention when you did want them, and it took a long time for them to return with your order once the show got started. Not their fault… just not enough of them. But all in all, Rams Head is still one of my favorite places to go for live music, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice idea for date night, a girls night out, or even a solo evening for some great music.

THEBESTPLACETOWATCHMUSICINMARYLAND!!! Talk about getting to hear music as it is supposed to be heard. This is a small venue with tables and as close to the stage as 2 feet. Not a bad seat in the house. As for food, Monday night lobster night is a great deal. I have seen over 30 shows and eaten almost everything on the menu, and can honestly say that I have never eaten anything that was not very delicious.

Talk about intimate… I was sitting literally less than 15 feet from the performer. My waiter told me we were at the«Manager’s Table». At first I thought it would be hard to watch the show with the table being perpendicular to the stage, but I adjusted my seat without obstructing others and was good to go. The sound was great. Both the warm up act and the headliner, Duncan Sheik, gave excellent performances. The place was larger than I expected, but no one was seated in the back areas; everyone at this afternoon show had an excellent seat. The menu had a good amount of variety. I had a bowl of cream of crab soup which was good, but very thick. And I like my creamed soups to be thick, but this was overly thick with a fair amount of crab. Service was top notch. At a show you don’t want service folks getting in your way. All the servers I saw(including mine) visited their tables just the right amount of times. I ended with a spiked hot chocolate. Annapolis isn’t really that far to travel from DC to see a good show. Street parking is easy in the afternoon.
