This by far is my favorite place to feed the need for speed. Hot days, bring a hat, cold nights, bring a jacket. It’s dusty, loud and there’s just the right amount of danger. If you get a chance, say hi to the drivers– most of them are pretty nice, and their after parties are fantastic.

It’s been a couple years since I’ve been back. After spend a season and a half working on the 19b super stock, a break was welcomed. It was nice to just visit and watch for a couple of hours. What’s better is being there with people I love, like my dad, daughter, and wife… plus a few more friends! I do love local racing. You will to, especially once you get to know the teams and drivers. You can go to the pits after the last race and see them in person! The noise curfew is or was 11pm, but I might be 10pm now. Yes, is $ 5 to park, unless you get there early(end of flea market). Is $ 14 too much for adults? It goes up every couple of years, but everything does. So, if you can embrace local dirt track racing, and get seats surrounded by non-annoying folks, it’s worth every bit! You’ll find people smoking in the stands, despite the rules, so beware. Every visit can be different, so go a couple of times before making up your mind. It’s a long racing season, so you have plenty of opportunities.

It’s small and dirty but I can identify with that. $ 14 admission seemed a little steep to me but they do have a family of four deal for $ 38. The heats start around 6:00 and the actual racing goes down when the lights go on. The people running the show do their best to keep things moving and fun. The flag man likes to dance and he even handed out some matchbox cars to the kids. This is about as close as you can get to racing. It’s fun to watch local guys take a run at it. It can get pretty exciting, we saw two end over end flips in one night. Bring something to sit on, a bench seat or a blanket. It can get a little chilly after the sun goes down. There are no rules for seating, so you can be lumped in with smokers and those that do not believe in deodorant. Just be prepared to move around if you are annoyed. I recommend ear plugs. They have beer and hard iced tea at reasonable prices.

ADMISSIONISCASHONLY! Parking is a 5 spot. They have a family of 4 deal for $ 38 bucks. 6 and under is free. Starts at 6:30pm on most Saturdays. Great place to have some old fashioned local family fun! Its a oval dirt track with plenty of action! Cars spinning out on the curve, cars running into the huge tractor wheels lining the track, wrecks, and all things when it comes to a track race! Very exciting! Its very loud, so if you have ear protection please bring it! Not sure if they sell ear plugs but we brought our own with ear muffs for the kids. Its gets VERYDUSTY! Be forewarned! Don’t wear white or you’ll get home wearing a dirty shade of tan! Its gets a bit windy in the stands so bring a jacket for the evening Delta windy chill. Yes, even on a hot 95 degree day, bring a jacket or maybe a blanket for your legs. When you get back in your car when the race is over you’ll be overwhelmed at the dusty smokey smell! Yuck! I made my family de-clothe in the garage once we got home LOL! Smoking is bad here. Its allowed in the stands so be warned about that too. The stands will kill your back so bring a pad or ‘stand seat’.

Saturday night at the races is a blast! Up close and personal, real race car drivers who work for a living and work even harder on their rides so they can drive their ass off on Saturday night. Loud engines, crashes, fires, mud from the dirt oval flying into the stands !!! So cover your beer. And speaking of beer, they serve both kinds. Bud and Bud Light… Fucking Awesome!

great place for a different kind of family fun night. movies, dinner etc are the same old same old, but this place is fun and always keeping you on the edge of your seat. great for the dad(or mom) or kids to love race cars and such. races last til about 10pm at night, parking is $ 5, admission for adults is $ 12 and nachos are only $ 2.50! at the end of the races, you can go into the«pits» and see the drivers station of where they and their team set up for the race and get your kids picture taken inside their cars too!
