Planet Fitness – Apache Junction

I find it kinda weird that the only full length mirror is the one by the weights but the staff at this location are very friendly even though I’m usually there very early. I usually just use the bike with my spotify playlist. Boo one really showed us how to use anything and I’m not sure who to ask so it’s a good thing I can read and understand picture diagrams. Overall it’s a great place to work out.

Love the gym, employees are wonderful. Don’t agree with the fact that they only enforce rules with certain people and are not fair to everyone else. So brought my gym bag, and I was told not to bring it. So that’s ok I won’t ever again. But there is other people that bring bigger bags then the one I brought and they still continue to bring it in. And they don’t enforce rules with them. That’s not fair.

I have been going to this gym for several months now, when I first started I didn’t know much about working out or any of the equipment, Samantha and Jordan has helped me learn about the red light therapy room, the equipment that they have and how it all works, these girls are always helpful with any questions I ask, for example when I asked Samantha about her opinion on eating healthy and what she does, her advice has helped me out a lot, I listened to her and started to change the way I eat on a daily basis and have seen a lot of improvement, also every time Samantha or Jordan work they always welcome me in, as well as other people, very friendly girls and are very professional with their job, overall it’s the best gym I have ever been to, highly recommend going here!

Well, it started out great, butwent to the crapper as soon as I had an injury. February 2014, my wife and I purchased black card memberships and it was wonderful. We loved the equipment, the staff, the ²⁴⁄₇ entrance, all of it! We used the amenities regular ad well. Again, it was great. Well, around July 2014, I staryed developing back pain and ultimately found that I have degenerative disc disease in my spine, as well as a few other back related issues. I was told to stop hotting the gym IMMEDIATELY. Of course, I continued paying my membership in hopes that I could return. Unfortunately, I could not. I called and asked if there was anything I could do to pull my black card memberships down to standard, since I wouldn’t be using them at all. Thought $ 20/​month for two unused memberships would be a lesser blow than $ 40/​month. I should’ve known that customer service only goes so far. I spoke with the manager and got the whole, «I’ll look into it and call you back» bit. Of course, no call back. Called later that week. Same gig. I called corporate. Same dog and pony show. My medical bills were and sti are piling up, so every dollar counts. I still can’t believe that they refused to assist in ANY way, shape or form. If I recover enough to get back to the gym, I will be taki g my business elsewhere, and that sucks, because I enjoyed PF quite a bit. Long story short, contracts are contracts and customer care is a thing of the past.

This is a good gym. I have the regular $ 9.99 a month plan so I cannot attest to their massage or tanning stuff. Everything is new and clean and I have never had any issues with the equipment. It is a mostly older crowd so it is a very non-​threatening quite environment. The only things I do not like about the gym is it’s location (but what do you expect in Apache Junction) and their stretch area is on the small side. They have a bunch of free weights, balls, and mats. Overall though, I would recommend it.

I’m a 58 year old woman that has wanted to join a gym for quite sometime now but was afraid of the atmosphere of most gyms. This place is PERFECT! My husband and I have been going now for a year and we both have lost several pounds, toned up and feel great. I have felt comfortable there since the day I walked in. I hear the price is very good for a gym, but honestly, I would pay much more just to be able to walk in and not feel uncomfortable. I did get the cheaper membership as I was skepticle, but I will be up-​grading. We love it, love it, love it, and thank you Planet Fitness for saving our lives or at least adding a few more years to them.
As for the review that states «The whole „non-​judgement zone“ is kind of dumb considering its a gym and we all judge»… No we don’t all judge. That’s not why we go to the this gym, so thanks you for makeing a place for people like us.

I’ve been going to this gym over 3 months now and I love it! But I also go at a non busy time, like after 9 pm. Its quiet and I don’t have to wait for equipment too often.

Have been going here since they opened last year. When you walk in it is very open and inviting. The staff have always greeted me right way and are very friendly. I go for the cardio, because there is a TON of it and I never have to wait for a machine. I have kids and a busy schedule so it is hard to find time to work out. I use their 30 minute circuit because it works every muscle and you get cardio in between and you are done in 30 minutes! The tanning is nice also. I was paying $ 50 a month just to tan! Here it is only $ 20 and you get the gym and I can bring a friend and go to the other planet fitness locations. This works well for me because I travel a lot for work. There are 3 hydromassage beds that are AMAZING after a work out. I tell all my friends and family to join because it is such a great deal and it is so clean! I love Planet Fitness!

Best gym in town. The free fitness training included with the membership is great and the staff is always ready to help.
They have 2 circuit rooms, a 30 minute full body and a 12 min abs room. The stretching area has extra ab machines and room to do body weight exercises as well.
For their cardio they have Life Fitbess treadmills, ellipticals, and bike, cybex arc trainers, and matrix stair climbers.
They have 2 full rows of selectorized strength equipment, and they are very easy to use. Just check out the instructions on them!
The lockers are day use only, so you can’t leave your stuff there. They also have showers (with soap!) and changing rooms.
My favorite part is what you get with the VIP membership. Behind the front desk they have what’s called the «Relaxation Zone». There are hydrotherapy massage beds (arguably my favorite), massage chairs, red light therapy (close 2^nd favorite), and tanning if you want it. They also let you bring a friend to work out with the VIP membership as well.
I believe they are ²⁴⁄₇ so that’s nice for people working odd shifts or night owls, and they always have staff there.

Canceled my membership because they don’t have bench press or a squat rack. They say they charge on the 17^th of every month so I canceled on the 15^th. On the 20^th I was charged my monthly bill so I called to ask for a refund. They told me I was still charged because it wasn’t before the 10^th. So I told them I was just going to use the gym for the next month. However because I had already canceled my membership, I wasn’t alowed in the gym either. So I was made to pay for an extra month of the membership, but not use it because of my member cancellation. After arguing with the person I called she finally told me she would write it in the notes of my account that I would be allowed to come for the next month.
BIG PAIN!

Luv this gym! Employees are really nice. It’s never really crowded. I’ve come between 4 – 7 on weekdays and it’s not crazy busy like LA Fitness which is good. Lots of cardio machines to choose from. The area is not the best ;-P lots of sketchy looking ppl outside and Senior citizens but hey that’s AJ for yah ;-) but for $ 10 a month it’s worth it ;-)
