We have been going to Nicks Pizza for many, many years. We always order calzones to go. In the past year or so, we have had to return many of them because they were missing some of the ingredients we asked for. Last night was the final straw. When my husband picked up our order, his was completely wrong and he had to wait while they re-made it. They tried to keep mine warm but ended up burning the crust. We ordered extra BBQ sauce — got less than half the usual amount Half the normal amount of cheese Mine had less than half the normal amount of meat. BBQ sauce on only half of my husbands calzone. To top it all off, we ate the calzones because we had paid for them. Then we were both sick all night. I don’t see is going back to Nick’s in the future. Sad — they used to be great.

Best pizza in the desert, hands down! Love the Nick’s sticks too! Only downside is that it’s a bit pricey. It’s well worth it on occasion though.

Get the Nicks stix. They are the best. I like to pick up dinner. Because atmosphere not the best. But they make the ranch and blue cheese dressings from scratch. They are delicious!

Today I met up with my folks in Apple Valley to try out a local Pizza Parlor that’s been getting some pretty good reviews on Unilocal. After having a few slices of a large«Nick’s Special» I was sold. This puts it right up there with Rock’s Place in Lucerne. The crust is a deep dish style, but light and not very greasy at all. The large Special about 16 inches, 10 slices with 1 inch tall crust and $ 22.95 a pop. It was pretty damn tasty! Five stars for an awesome slice of pizza!

Ok so been here a few times. Sports parties, banquets, and gatherings. Pizza is good. My favorite is the taco pizza! It is very well made up and taste great! I tried the chicken parmigiano, and I was not at all impressed! Especially for the price no where near $ 14. The chicken was basically two chicken nuggets(at least in my mind) the spaghetti noodles were so so. Definitely will stick with pizza only from here on out!

I’ve been here a couple of times with family/friends and have somewhat enjoyed the pizza. My favorite menu item is the nicks sticks, they’re crispy and covered in mozzarella and great seasoning. However, the restaurant always smells like toilet water and has décor that should be replaced such as carpet and broken booth seats.

Nicks is by far the best in the victor valley. If you order the nicks special I promise you won’t regret it. Yum all around :)

I ordered a personal BBQ chicken pizza it was delicious, the crust was perfect I would definitely order here again. The only thing that I would have liked more is if the chicken would have been shredded instead of big chunks of chicken. This is just a personal preference. I’m coming again to try something different.

I have been going to Nicks Pizza for over ten years and as an overall across the board I would say they are the best bang for your buck with good service and great pizza here in the HD. The Nicks Sticks are the bomb me and the wife tend to start with those as a nice appetizer. It has plenty of cheese and garlic on it and could be a meal in itself. Pizza, the Nicks Pizza special is our favorite. Overall over the last ten years I have always had a good experience here with no issues. If your looking for some great pizza cold beer on tap for a respectable price this place is it.

I’ve lived in Apple Valley for almost 10 years and had always heard about how great this place was, but for some reason had never stopped in. I went in today for the lunch buffet. At first, I wasn’t impressed– all they had out was the salad bar and one pizza, but as time passed they had put out two more pizzas. The pizza was good, nice crust and a decent amount of toppings with lots of cheese, although a little bit too much sauce for my liking. Salad bar was average, but the blue cheese dressing was good. I had also ordered some boneless wings, and they were not good. They were hard, like they were either old or overcooked. At first the waitress seemed like she would rather be somewhere else but she got a little friendlier during my visit. Also, she was fairly quick to offer me a drink refill and clear dirty plates. However, the guys in the kitchen were loudly cursing and making sexual jokes almost the entire time; as a single guy I wasn’t that bothered by it but I wouldn’t want my wife or kids to hear that kind of language while we’re out to eat. Finally, I dig the old 70’s look… as a man of a certain age I like being reminded of my childhood spent at places like this. But seriously though, that bathroom was old and gross.

It was ok, but nothing to brag about… over priced for what you get. $ 6.50 for 1 trip through a salad bar? And they don’t even offer a protein for the salad I. e egg, chopped ham, nada! The marinara was good and chunky, the ranch was flavorful. The pizza was good but not phenomenal. The staff seemed like they were being forced to be there… everyone looked as miserable as the prices. After $ 80+ dollars on pizza with the extras, I doubt we will return. 3 stars because the place was clean, marinara seemed fresh and chunky, and the food was ready when promised and no one got sick. Minus 2 stars for over priced basic food and staff who clearly is miserable being there :(

We did take away last night. A Hawaiian Pizza with Bell Peppers and Nick’s Stix. The Stix, SOGOODANDGREASY!!! Very garlicky and cheesy galore… worth every calorie! And the pizza was perfect! It’s even better cold for breakfast! All the veggies were fresh, and we had a lovely meal. MANAPPROVED! I recommend!

This place used to be the best pizza place in the HD. I am from Apple Valley, so my family has been going to Nicks for like 20 years. But the last few months/year it has gone down hill. We used to talk about how much pepperoni and toppings they’d put on the pizza– which made it great(duh!). But now you have to order double toppings to get that same amount. The last time we got Nicks sticks, my cousin actually said they were dry. Dry! They used to have so much cheese they were amazing. Also, they got rid of the all you can eat salad bar a few months back :-(The salad bar is good, but they shouldn’t have changed it. The pizza is still ok, it’s just disappointing that it’s not as good as it used to be.

I grew up in the high desert and we always drove by this place, but I never actually tried it until a few weeks ago. I can see why it seems like a hometown pride for Apple Valley. It’s been open since the 1970s(and the décor seems the same, but I love that) and the walls are lined with faded sports team photos of smiling, toothless kids who are probably older than me and with their own kids by now. You’ll forget the sketchy-looking people hanging out at the Laundromat next door once you taste the pizza and salad. Just lock your car, then you can forget. The salad bar is delicious and stocked with tons of fresh, quality ingredients to DIY yourself a mean salad. The pizza is made with fresh, housemade dough, deep-dish style. I tried the Hawaiian and the Veggie and both were phenomenal, loaded with toppings and gooey cheese. Nick’s is very family-friendly with sports on TV, arcade games, and old-fashioned service. I didn’t order any, but pitchers of beer are cheap… pints are only $ 2! The only think I didn’t like is that they don’t reserve areas for large groups. We came with a huge group for a rehearsal dinner, hoping to use the back room, but had to wait and jump on empty tables as they cleared out. I wish they had a designated event space. This place reminds me of John’s Pizza on 7th street, for all of you old-schoolers, and wish it was still open. Great local spot!

Not as good as it use to be! If you plan on going it takes a long time to get your pizza. To day the sauce tasted like it had too much tomato paste in it… I used to love the place, now not so much

yummy yum yum. The pizza is so good that you overlook the dated décor, tired bathrooms and constant stream of homeless people walking in front of the windows outside. It’s that good.

Pizza is love, Pizza is life! I am pizza obsessed and Nick’s Pizza def hits the spot. The staff is always super friendly and always attentive to our needs. We were waiting for another person to show up so we ordered some mozzarella sticks to start. They were super yummy and so was the marinara sauce. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. I enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to keep eating even after I was full! I also have to give them some bonus points because they played the Ducktales them song and The Legend of Zelda theme song :) So awesome to me. If you are looking for some good pizza with friendly staff then come here!

Overall I give this place a 4 stars with the potential for a five. I’ll definitely try this place again with a different menu item. I went during lunch and service was friendly and quick. I ordered a small sized Nick’s Special which is essentially a «supreme» style set if toppings. Overall I like this style however I’m not the hugest fan. I figured I give it a try. It was a good pizza overall. I would come back and try a simple pepperoni pizza as you can really notice the quality in crust, sauce, and cheese. Even with this style of pizza you can really taste the interplay of flavors. The cheese on this pizza was by far the hottest, steamiest, ooey gooiest cheese I’ve ever had. Don’t know what they did but I pulled off a lot of the cheese but there was a still plenty on the pizza. Just fantastic. Additionally I ordered the garlic bread which was fairly average. I would likely pass on this next time. By and large this seems like a great place and i would try it again.

As I was walking in I felt like a little kid again, this place reminded me of the places my dad used to take me to when I was a kid. This is a real pizza place! The arcade games, coin machines for prices, the claw game, pitchers of beer… They have it all. The games will steal your kids money so you better have a lot of quarters. The waitress took 15 minutes to take our order and the kids were not happy about it. Once she noticed us she was great. The food was amazing! The salad was so big you can feed four men with it. I had to bring it home. The pizza had a ton of cheese and tasted wonderful. I asked for ranch and it was there quickly. The pitcher of beer was 5 dollars for half a pitcher and that was perfect for us. The mugs were chilled! I love a chilled mug. I will be back and have a ton of quarters for the kids!
